Wth the fast-cooking ingredients and tons of flavours this beef noodle stir fry is a quick and easy dinner idea that your family will enjoy.

Beef noodle stir fry

g glass noodles

beef mince

capsicum (sliced)

garlic (minced)

olive oil

sesame oil

soy sauce

rice wine

sesame seeds

Preparing: Soak the glass noodles in the cold water for 15 minutes or until soften. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine and 6 tablespoons of water in a smal bowl.

Add the oil, beef mince and galic in an non-stick pan over medium heat and cook until the beef and garlic minces are slightly browned. Add 3 tablespoons of the mixed sauce then cook for one minute until it sizzles.

Add the sliced capsicums and cook for a minute. Stir in the glass noodles and the rest of the sauce, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the glass noodles are soften. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

Move over 2-minute noodles, this beef and udon dish will make your evening.

Recipe video above. The beef mince version of everybody&#39;s favourite Chicken Chow Mein - great way to cook up ground beef with noodles. Economical and no meat chopping required, with plenty of hidden vegetables so it&#39;s a complete dinner! Scrambling up an egg with the beef is a neat trick to make the beef cling to the noodles better.

Beef Chow Mein - great beef mince noodle recipe!

200 grams/ 7 oz chow mein noodles (,

tbsp canola oil

garlic (, finely minced)

200 grams/ 7 oz beef mince / ground beef ((any fat %))

onion

green cabbage (, finely sliced (or Chinese cabbage))

carrot (, peeled,

bean sprouts

tbsp light soy sauce (or all-purpose soy sauce (Note 2))

tsp dark soy sauce ((Note 2))

tbsp oyster sauce ((Note 3))

Chinese cooking wine ((Shaoxing) (Note 4))

tsp white sugar

white pepper

cornstarch

water

Sauce - Mix ingredients in a small bowl then set aside. Some is used to flavour the beef, then the rest for the noodles.

Sauce thickener (cornflour slurry) - Mix the cornflour / cornstarch and water in a separate small bowl.

Prepare noodles per packet directions then drain.

Cook beef - Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan over high heat. Cook garlic for 10 seconds, then add the beef and cook until you can no longer see pink. Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of the Sauce and the white part of the green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes to get the beef nicely caramelised.

Finish sauce - Mix the cornflour slurry into the remaining sauce.

Egg - Add the egg into the pan then mix it through the beef, it will sort of scramble. Egg makes the noodles stick to the noodles better!

Cabbage &amp; carrot - When the egg is mostly cooked, add the carrot and cabbage. Cook for 1 minute until cabbage starts to wilt.

Sauce &amp; noodles - Give the sauce a quick mix. Add the bean sprouts, noodles and sauce into the pan. Toss well for 1 minute or until sauce is dispersed through the noodles. Add green part of green onions. Toss for another 1 minute.

Serve - Divide between bowls and serve!

Spicy Beef Noodles

oz rice noodles

lb lean ground beef

red bell pepper, thinly sliced

onion,

tsp kosher salt

garlic cloves,

+ 1 tbsp soy sauce

hoisin sauce

tsp black pepper

brown sugar

lime juice

2-4 tsp sambal oelek

basil,

starchy water

Fill a large bowl with VERY hot water. Add the noodles to the bowl. After a minute or two, use tongs to move them around. Continue to soak. If you aren&#39;t using rice noodles, cook your noodles according to the package instructions.

Heat a large skillet with high sides to medium-high heat. Add the beef. Cook until the beef is mostly browned, about five minutes. 

When the beef is mostly cooked through, add the red pepper, onion, and salt. Continue to cook until slightly softened, about two to three minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute longer.

While the beef and veggies cook add the soy sauce, hoisin, black pepper, brown sugar, lime juice, sambal oelek, and cornstarch to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Ladel in 1/4 cup of the water the noodles are soaking in. Whisk to combine.

When the veggies are softened and the ground beef is cooked through, add the sauce to the pan. Scrape up any brown bits with a wooden spoon. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer the sauce until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.

Use tongs to transfer the softened noodles to the skillet with the beef and veggies. Save the starchy water. Toss the noodles with the beef, veggies, and sauce. Add the basil. Toss again. Add a few tablespoons of starchy water if needed. Toss until the noodles are coated and basil has wilted. Add more sambal oelek, soy sauce, or salt as needed.

Beef Noodle Stir Fry

(15.8 ounces) - Fresh Udon Noodles

Cumin Seeds

Coriander Seeds

Garlic Cloves, Thinley Sliced

(14 ounces) - Beef Fillet, Thinly Sliced

(7.05 ounces)

Tbsp (40 milliliters) - Soy Sauce

Tbsp (40 milliliters) - Oyster Sauce

Spring Onion (Scallion), Thinly Sliced

Coriander (Cilantro) To Serve

Heat Noodles

Place the fresh udon noodles in boiling water, sit for 10 minutes, and drain. 

Toast Spices

Place a pan or wok over medium-high heat and add the Szechuan peppercorns, cumin seeds, and coriander seeds. Toast for 1 ½ minutes or until golden and cracking. Remove from heat and grind to a powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle. 

Stir fry Beef

Place the same wok over high heat. Add the garlic and stir fry for 40 seconds to 1 minute. Add the sliced beef fillet and stir fry for 2 ½ minutes. Add the ground spices and stir fry for another 1 minute. 

Stir Fry Sauce

Add the bok choy, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, stir to combine, and cook for 1 - 1 ½  minutes. Add the noodles, mix well until everything is incorporated, and add the chilli flakes (optional).

Serve

Remove the wok from the heat and serve in bowls. Garnish with thinly sliced spring onion (scallion), chilli flakes &amp; coriander (cilantro). Dig in.
