This Triple Berry Trifle recipe is easy to make and so delicious! It's a light, no bake dessert that's filled with layers of angel food cake, pudding &amp; fresh berries. This trifle is perfect for parties and holidays!

Triple Berry Trifle Recipe

milk

Angel food cake (about 12 oz), cut into pieces

strawberries

blueberries

raspberries

oz cool whip (or homemade whipped cream)

1. Add pudding mix and milk to a large bowl and make according to package directions.

2. Add about half of the angel food cake pieces to the trifle dish.

3. Top with about 1/2 of the prepared pudding.

4. Top pudding with about 1/2 cup of each kind of berry.

5. Top berries with about half of the cool whip.

7. Finish off trifle with additional berries on top.

8. Refrigerate for about 2-3 hours, until ready to serve.

*could be replaced with vanilla flavored pudding if you can&#8217;t find the cheesecake flavored pudding

I never leave reviews, but i made this for a Memorial Day party we were attending and it was a HIT! Literally so easy and so delicious! I might have had half of the trifle myself but thats another story.. I also gave some to by 1 year old and he nearly attacked me to have more. Definitely 5 stars in my book!

My family has made this dessert often through the years but with some small changes.   For the pudding, we mix two small boxes of vanilla instant pudding, 3 cups of milk, half a teaspoon of rum extract (I add more to taste at times), and then fold a about half of a container of Cool Whip into  it.   Our layers end up being angel food cake, pudding mixture, fruit, etc.  Then we top with the remaining Cool Whip and berries as decoration!

This is delicious. I have made it with sugar-free pudding for my diabetic sister and 2 boxes is plenty. I’ve also used frozen berries but I do thaw them first so they don’t make the trifle soggy. My favorite is to substitute white chocolate pudding for the cheesecake pudding. 

It's not Christmas without a perfect trifle. Begin recipe 4 hours ahead. You will need a 2.5L dish and piping bag with plain nozzle.

lemon juice

cream cheese (2 (8 ounce packages). softened)

heavy whipping cream

strawberries (sliced)

To make the lemon glaze, whisk together sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Continue stirring over heat until sugar dissolves.

Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and whisk in almond extract; set aside.

Cut angel food cake into 1-inch thick slices.

Brush lemon glaze on each side of sliced cake.

Cut glazed cake into 1-inch cubes; set aside.

To make the cream cheese filling, beat together cream cheese and sugar with a mixer, on medium speed, until smooth. Add heavy whipping cream and beat until light and fluffy.

Arrange half the cake on the bottom of a trifle dish.

Sprinkle on an even layer of blueberries.

Spread half the cream cheese mixture over the blueberries and top with a layer of strawberries.

Repeat layers.

Top with any remaining berries.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate before serving.

Cut angel food cake into 1&quot; bite-sized pieces.

Beat pudding mix and milk with a hand mixer until smooth in a large glass bowl. Fold in whipped topping with a rubber spatula.

Spoon 1/3 pudding mixture into bottom of trifle bowl.

Add layer of sliced strawberries and blueberries.

Add 1/2 of the angel food cake cubes.

Add 1/3 pudding mixture followed by another layer of fruit.

Add remaining angel food cake cubes.

Spread with remaining pudding mixture.

Chill 1-2 hours.

Add raspberries and remaining strawberries and blueberries to the top of the trifle before serving.

Assemble trifle in layers by adding 1/2 of the vanilla pudding to the bottom of the trifle bowl, followed by 1/2 of the vanilla cake cubes, 1/3 of the strawberries and blueberries, and 1/2 of the whipped cream. Repeat with another layer of the vanilla pudding, cake, strawberries and blueberries and the whipped cream.&nbsp;

Top with the final 1/3 of the strawberries and blueberries just prior to serving.&nbsp;

Fantastic trifle. Best I have had. My family loved it. It is definately worth the extra effort.

I have made this a couple of times now.  It has been a big hit both times.  I did make substitutions because it was easier for me to make.   I used jello instant vanilla pudding &amp; cool whip.  Thank you for this delicious dessert.

I really like blueberries and strawberries a lot and I eat them regularly. But, I never tried a trifle with both of them together. Looks very appetizing. Will surely try it out. Thanks for the recipe.

Make the Whipped Cream: In a large bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together on high speed until medium to stiff peaks form– about 2 minutes. Place into a bowl, setting aside 2 1/4 cups that is needed in step 2. Cover and refrigerate the remaining.

Make the Cheesecake Filling: Using the same bowl used for making the whipped cream (it doesn't need to be washed), using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle or whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese on medium-high speed until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and the reserved 2 1/4 cups whipped cream. Beat together for 1 minute until combined.

Assemble: This berry trifle has 3 layers of pound cake, 2 layers of cheesecake filling, 3 layers of berries, topped with the remaining whipped cream. Begin by adding a layer of pound cake cubes. Top with a layer of fresh berries, then half of the cheesecake filling. Repeat. Finish with the final layer of pound cake cubes followed by the final layer of berries. Spread the reserved whipped cream on top. Garnish with additional berries.
