An easy basic homemade salsa made in the blender. This is a family recipe that has been around for decades and is made in less than 5 minutes.

My Mama’s Basic Blender Salsa Recipe

green chilies

green onions,

garlic, roughly diced

jalapeño,

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Add to Blender

Add all ingredients into the blender. Pulse just a couple of times.  Be very careful not to purée (I didn’t say this was a soup).

Pour Into Dish

Pour into your preferred dish and serve with your favorite chips.

Easy Blender Salsa Recipe Video

Easy Homemade Salsa made with tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeno, green chilies, green onions, and salt. This is the quickest homemade salsa and can be made in a blender in 5 minutes!

Easy 5-Minute Blender Salsa

(1) 26-ounce can Whole or Diced Tomatoes

Cilantro Leaves ((stems chopped off))

Jalapeno ((or 1/2 jalapeño for less heat))

Green Onions ((sliced))

can Diced Green Chiles

Roma Tomatoes ((diced))

Salt

Add whole canned tomatoes, cilantro leaves, and jalapeno into a blender. Blend until pureed. You don&#39;t want to overmix or the salsa will become foamy.

Pour into a large bowl. Add sliced green onions, diced green chiles, diced fresh roma tomatoes, and salt to taste. Add more salt if needed.

Serve with chips at room temperature.

5-Minute Fire Roasted Salsa Recipe + Video

lime (juiced)

Add onion, jalapeno and garlic to the bowl of a food processor. Pulse 5-6 times, or until the bits are your desired size. Remove the cover and scrape down the insides of the bowl. Add remaining ingredients, cover, and pulse 1 or 2 more times, to combine.

Transfer salsa to a serving dish and serve immediately or transfer to a pint sized mason jar and store in the refrigerator. It becomes even more flavorful the next day.

I usually make salsa the hard way, roasting my chilies, tomatoes,  and onions and the results are always great. But, I tried your recipe and it was also fantastic with a fraction of the work! I will make it often!

5-Minute Fire Roasted Salsa

An easy salsa made right at home in the blender! Refreshing, flavorful, and tastes similar to the ones you find at a Mexican restaurant.

Restaurant-Style Blender Salsa

garlic

yellow onion

cilantro*

lime juice (about 1 lime)

cumin

Dice onion and mince garlic. (Or simply place in food processor and pulse a few times.)

Place all ingredients in a large food processor or good blender. (I use my 9 cup food processor.) Blend for about 10 seconds to combine. Blend longer to achieve a smoother consistency, or shorter for chunkier salsa.

Taste and adjust flavors or add more salt if desired. Can serve right away, but tastes best after it chills for a couple hours or overnight (which also mellows the raw onion &amp; garlic). Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

This is THE BEST easy salsa recipe I’ve ever made!  Not only that! This recipe is so delicious !  It’s now my go-to quick salsa recipe  to use!
