I started making my own salad dressings to avoid oils and preservatives. This recipe was so easy and absolutely delicious! Thought it needed more blue cheese so added 1c crumbles and it was perfect. Will definitely be making again in the near future!

Made it for the first time! It is delish. I would adjust the amount of buttermilk, mine was a little thin.
Now I have to start working my way through the rest of the dressing recipes you have shared. Thank you.

I've made this twice now and it is so good!! Thank you for this awesome recipe!

This is a great recipe has all the ingredients I love and quick and easy to store. It also is my favorite dressing for anything thank you.

Best blue cheese dressing! Tart and Tangy and if you’re a blue cheese lover like me, don’t hesitate to try and add this to your recipe book!

I make all of my own solid dressings, and used to own a café where we did the same. Blue cheese dressing is my favorite to make, but I wanted to try your recipe. I love it so much that I use it now instead of my own from the cafe! Thank you for your time and contributions to helping us make the very best dishes in our own kitchens!

I've tried several recipes, this one is by far the best. I omitted the sugar and added a bit more Bleu cheese.

The minute the family landed on wedge salad for dinner, I immediately thought about your blue cheese dressing and it did not disappoint. Easy, quick and tasty. Thanks Billy.

Get ready!!! You will never buy store bought again!!!

I am a blue cheese dressing snob. This is one of the best that I’ve had!!

Garlic powder is ground, dehydrated garlic. It is a very common seasoning. Applications include pasta, pizza, and grilled chicken. Garlic salt is simply salt plus garlic powder. (Pre-made products usually include an anti-caking agent.) Garlic powder is a common component of spice mix. It is also a common component of seasoned salt.

Lemon Juice

White wine vinegar

In a small bowl, mash blue cheese and yogurt together with a fork.

Stir in mayonnaise, lemon juice, vinegar, and garlic powder until well blended.

Season to taste with salt and pepper to taste.

This is absolutely delicious! I love that it's low fat, but tastes creamy and decadent. I made it exactly as per the recipe using Oikos plain Greek yogurt (although it is 2%). It's a bit thick right now, so I may thin it a bit before using on a wedge salad. A definite keeper!

I cut the Greek Yogurt to 4 oz and subbed 2 oz light sour cream and used distilled white vinegar instead because I didn't have white wine vinegar. I must say, I've tried a LOT of low-cal dressings before... This one I actually like! It's really good and I'll definitely be using this in the future!

I used sour cream because I didn't have greek yogurt. Absolutely amazing!

I have made this several times! We love it ! A keeper!

Super easy and fast to make. I used Greek Gods plain greek yogurt. I used rice wine vinegar. I only used 1/2T mayo. I added some onion powder and 1T of buttermilk powder. Very tasty.

Made this yesterday with the homemade Enchilada Sauce and it was delicious. Definitely will make again!

I made this tonight and it was so delicious, I love how it turned out. I now don’t want store bought dressing, I just make Skinnytaste dressing and it’s so much better.

This was very good. Used it for buffalo wings. I just wish it could be thicker but I didn’t want to mess with the ingredients or the point value.

It's good but it definitely has too much of that "yogurt" taste. I might try the tweaks someone else suggested but the only true issue I have is I followed the directions exactly as written and mine is way too thick. What is the best way to thin it down?

This is the fastest, best blue cheese dressing I have made. Use a good quality blue cheese and you will not be disappointed. Does not need to sit very long before using, but does get better, and thicker, once refrigerated overnight.

Great Recipe! Delish, low fat...my new "go-to" blue cheese recipe!

I love this recipe! I usually leave out the mayo and it’s still terrific.

The best recipe I've found for blue cheese dressing.
I added a 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and it tasted exactly like what I used to make years ago.
Thank you so much for this great dressing.

YUM and EASY! Sadly, due to self-perceived skill/recipe intimidation, I was a blue cheese dressing-making virgin. But thanks to this recipe, I'm happy to report fear tackled!

I used a good quality brick bleu cheese (not pre-crumbled) and added more worchestershire sauce (personal preference), but the recipe is perfect as written.

NOTE: It does thickens as it refridgerates, so maybe keep an extra tablespoon of heavy cream (or whole milk, as I had to use) handy.

2 Tbsp lemon juice made a VERY tart dressing. I made a second time with 1 Tbsp lemon juice and everyone agreed it was better. Really did get better after 2-3 days in fridge. Amazing to drizzle over wedge of lettuce. Definitely bookmarking this dressing.

I'm super picky about bleu cheese dressing, and this is the best I've ever had. I never want to be without it!

My family & I love this recipe 🤤 I used the Gorgonzola cheese & it was so creamy and delicious. Even my daughter who says she hates blue cheese, enjoyed it!

I love that you added cream to this, and I also love that you put it into an old jelly jar!

This blue cheese dressing was simply wonderful! I loved the tang using a gorgonzola piccante. Definitely a favorite of the dressing recipes I've tried!!
Thank you!!!

If summer has you craving something that’s hearty but not too heavy, turkey Cobb salad is an indulgent meal that will satisfy your hunger!

Turkey Cobb Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing

buttermilk (see note)

¼ tsp freshly cracked pepper (more

blue cheese crumbles (divided)

eggs

bacon

¼ lb deli smoked turkey (if dicing, ask for 1/2 inch thick slices)

tomato (large Roma tomato

avocado

lettuce (a 6

Combine all dressing ingredients except for the blue cheese. Add half the blue cheese crumbles and blend with an immersion blender until smooth. Add the rest of the blue cheese and stir to combine. Set dressing aside.

To make the dressing

If you need to hard boil your eggs, cover them with an inch of cold water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and remove from heat. Let them sit for 10-12 minutes, then plunge the eggs into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.

Cook bacon to desired crispiness or chewiness over medium heat and set aside on paper towels to absorb the excess grease.

Slice or dice peeled hard boiled eggs, turkey, tomato, and avocado.

In a large salad bowl, toss the lettuce with half the blue cheese dressing. Divide dressed greens into two flat salad bowls or dinner plates. Top each with stripes of hard boiled eggs, turkey, tomato, avocado, and crumbled bacon. You can add the blue cheese crumbles as another stripe or scatter them across the top of each salad.

Drizzle the remaining dressing over top of the salads. Serve with freshly ground black pepper, if desired.

To make the salad

My classic all-rounder Blue Cheese Dressing. Creamy enough to toss through salads and drizzle on a wedge salad, thick enough to use as a dipping sauce for veggie stick, crackers and potato wedges. You can also use it for wings, steak, roasted veg, drizzling over pizza and, well, anything you want a little blue cheese hit!I like to use a combination of both mayonnaise and sour cream to keep the dressing thick and creamy, but I find using only mayonnaise weighs it down and makes it overly greasy. Makes enough for a large salad for 7 - 8 people.PS There's a perfect easy sub for buttermilk - just mix milk and yogurt together, 50/50.

/ 3 oz Roquefort,

mayonnaise ((Note 2))

buttermilk (, plus more as needed (Note 3

tsp apple cider vinegar (, or lemon juice)

tsp cooking salt / kosher salt

tsp black pepper

Worcestershire sauce ((good

Mash - Put the blue cheese in a bowl and mash with a fork until it's crumbly (blue cheese is soft so it's easy).

Whisk - Add the remaining ingredients and whisk vigorously for about 15 seconds so the blue cheese blends in. There will be some little lumps - this is normal. Desirable! Lovely little pops of blue cheese (for completely smooth, see Note 4 ).

Thickness - This dressing is pretty thick, ideal for dipping, and clings well to leafy greens. To loosen, add a little bit more buttermilk.

Hi Nagi,
Your blue cheese dipping sauce is perfect drizzled over (I prefer drowned in!) arancini.
Yum 🤤
