How to Make Box Cake Better

box yellow/white cake mix*

all-purpose flour

sugar

tsp salt

eggs (room temperature)

water

Tbsp vegetable oil

sour cream

vanilla

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Grease and flour two 8&quot; cake rounds (I use Homemade Cake Release), line with parchment.

Wrap cake rounds with damp Evenbake strips (optional).

Combine all dry ingredients and whisk together.

Add wet ingredients and mix until combined. I use my KitchenAid on low for 2 minutes but you can also do this by hand.

Divide the batter between the pans and bake for approximately 50 minutes.

Cool in pans on wire rack for 10mins, then turn cakes out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Coconut Cream Poke Cake using Box Cake Mix

(15.25 ounces) box yellow cake mix

ingredients on back of cake mix box

(15 coconut cream

(14 ounces) can sweetened condensed milk

(8 ounces) container cool whip

coconut flakes

Bake cake per instructions on back of cake mix box for a 9 x 13 baking dish.

(For a bakery style cake, I substituted milk for the water and melted butter for the oil.)

When cake is done, while still hot, poke holes all over cake (a lot of holes). Make sure fork goes about 3/4 of the way through the cake, you don&#039;t want to poke holes through to the bottom.

Mix together the coconut cream and sweetened condensed milk. (NOTE: the coconut cream may come out of the can as a solid on top and liquid on bottom. That is fine. just blend really good in the bowl before mixing in the milk.

Slowly pour the liquid over the cake, even spooning it on and pushing liquid as much as possible into the holes.  Cool cake completely before icing the cake.

Once cake is cool you can frost with cool whip and sprinkle as much coconut flakes onto cool whip and push into the cool whip to hold flakes.

Cake should be refrigerated. Enjoy.

4 Ingredient Cadbury Cookies

oz mini cadbury eggs

13.25 oz box yellow cake mix

vegetable oil

Add your mini cadbury eggs into a ziploc bag, close the ziploc bag, and begin crushing up the eggs using a rolling pin. Once they are roughly all crushed up, set them aside.

In a large mixing bowl add cake mix, eggs, oil, and mix that together until combined. Once thats combined, pour in the crushed up cadbury eggs and fold them into the cake cookie batter until incorporated.

Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Then use a small cookie scoop or half of an ice cream scoop to scoop the dough onto the parchment paper (make sure you leave about 2 inches of space between each cookie because they will expand). I ended up with 16 cookies (make sure you don't do more than 8 cookies per cookie sheet). Bake them in the oven at 350°F for 10 - 12 minutes. Once they are done, let them cool completely. Enjoy!

Are you ready for the Ultimate Strawberry Cake recipe? Make no mistake when I name something the ultimate it is exactly that! In this case it&#39;s the ultimate recipe for the most delicately flavorful strawberry cake! Let&#39;s break this down, why is it the ultimate? For starters, I used Mexican vanilla extract blend in my cake if you have not had Mexican vanilla extract in place of regular vanilla extract you&#39;re in for a real treat when you&#39;re done with this recipe. Next is the filling. In this poke cake you&#39;re going to blend up a can of strawberry pie filling and different milks to fill up that cake and make it the most incredibly delicious moist cake you&#39;ve ever had! And if that&#39;s not enough we are making our own perfectly delicately sweetened whipped topping topped with strawberry crunch. Lastly, did I mention this was easy! We are going to use a box of white cake mix, some store bought ingredients, and baby you are going to be the razzle dazzle of the party! So what are you waiting for? Let’s make it!

The Ultimate Strawberry Cake

14.25 oz box white cake mix

eggs

21 oz can strawberry pie filling

sweetened condensed milk

milk

strawberries (sliced)

golden oreos (separated and cream removed)

strawberries

butter

heavy cream

For garnish: fresh strawberries (optional)

In a large bowl add white cake mix, vegetable oil, water, eggs, and 1 tsp Mexican vanilla extract. Beat that together using an electric hand mixer for a few minutes until fully combined. Grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray, transfer the cake batter into the greased baking dish, and smooth the batter out so that it is even. Bake that in the oven at 350°F for about 26 - 30 minutes.

To a blender, add strawberry pie filling, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk. Pulse it for just a few seconds until combined and smooth. If yours is a little too thick add more whole milk until it gets to a pourable consistency. Set aside.

Now take about 6 strawberries and slice them on the diagonal so that your strawberries look like the shape of a heart and flat. Set the strawberries aside.

Right when the cake comes out of the oven, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, going about 3/4's of the way down. Pour the pie filling mixture over the warm cake, and then smooth it out evenly so it fills all the holes. Now, take those set aside sliced strawberries and arrange them evenly in rows on top of the cake. Then, place the cake in the refrigerator to let it cool for at least an hour.

To make the strawberry crunch topping, separate the golden oreos and remove the cream filling. Add the separated golden oreo cookies into a ziploc bag and pour in the freeze dried strawberries. Close the ziploc bag and crush the oreos and strawberries up using a rolling pin or your hands. Once they're all crushed up, pour in the melted butter and close the ziploc bag again. Shake that together until the butter has fully coated everything. Set that aside.

To make the homemade whipped cream, in a large mixing bowl add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and ½ tbsp of Mexican vanilla extract. Beat that together with an electric hand mixer for about 5-7 minutes until it reaches a stiff peak.

Once the cake is done chilling, add the homemade whipped cream on top and smooth it out until even. Then, evenly sprinkle over the strawberry crunch topping. Lastly garnish with more fresh strawberries (optional). Enjoy!

Ooey Gooey Carrot Butter Cake

carrot cake mix

oz cream cheese (softened)

First make the dough, combine: 1 box of cake mix, 1 stick of softened butter, 2 eggs and mix. Then mix in the shredded carrots and coconut flakes.

Dip your fingers in ice water and press the dough into the bottom of a 9x13 greased baking dish

In another bowl, add 1 softened block of cream cheese, 1 stick of softened butter, 2 eggs, and 16 oz. of powdered sugar.

Scoop out 2 tbsp. of the powdered sugar and set aside for garnish

Mix the ingredients together (it will be slightly lumpy)

Pour the batter over the bottom layer and smooth it out.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for at least 1 hour.

Remove from the oven, sprinkle powdered sugar over the top, and let it rest for at least 1 hour.

Strawberry Bundt Cake

13.5 oz box strawberry cake mix

3.4 oz box instant cheesecake pudding

tbsp milk

maraschino cherry juice

strawberries (for garnish)

In a large bowl add in cake mix (disregard instructions on the box), sour cream, warm water, vegetable oil, eggs, instant cheesecake mix, and blend it until combined.

Grease a bundt cake pan with butter (I used the Paris Hilton heart shaped bundt pan), and pour cake mixture evenly into the pan. Bake in the oven at 350° for about 40 minutes.

For the glaze, in a bowl whisk together powdered sugar and milk until you get your desired consistency, then to make it pink add in maraschino cherry juice, and whisk it together.

Drizzle your glaze over your finished bundt cake and decorate it by adding strawberries around the cake. Enjoy!
