Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe

butter

tbsp flour

milk

Frank's hot sauce

worcestershire sauce

cayenne pepper sauce

pizza crust

chicken breast (diced or shredded)

mozzarella cheese

tomato, (sliced)

red onion slices or scallions (if desired)

Make the sauce: In a skillet over medium high heat, melt the butter.&nbsp;

Whisk in the flour and keep whisking until fully combined.&nbsp;

Keeping the whisk moving and add the cold milk. Whisk the liquid until it is combined, and add the Frank’s hot sauce, worcestershire, and cayenne pepper.

Add a few spoonfuls of the Frank’s bechamel sauce you just made into the diced or shredded chicken, and toss to combine.&nbsp;

Spread the remainder of the sauce all over the pizza crust, then top with the cheese, sliced heirloom tomato, chicken, and onion, if you desire.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes until the cheese has melted. Cut into slices and enjoy!

Buffalo Turkey Pizza

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough or a purchased crust

ranch dressing (original

turkey

red onion (thinly sliced)

green bell pepper

buffalo wing sauce

cracked pepper

Preheat oven to 425F with the pizza stone (if using) on the middle rack. Once the oven is ready, continue to heat the stone in the oven an additional 10 minutes to make sure the stone is fully heated.

Remove the pizza stone from the oven. Put the pizza dough or prepared crust on the stone.

Layer, in order, the ranch dressing, turkey or chicken, veggies, and cheese. Drizzle Buffalo sauce over top. Finish by grinding fresh cracked pepper over top.

Put the stone with the pizza back in the oven and cook 10-20 minutes, depending on the crust you are using and its thickness, until cheese is melty and crust is toasty.

Remove from the oven and serve. Yields: 8 slices.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the tortillas in a single layer on a few baking sheets or pizza pans. Place in the oven for 5-6 mins, then flip and place in the oven for another 5-6 mins. Just until they start to become golden brown. 

While the tortillas are toasting, mix all of the chicken, all of the franks red hot sauce and ¼ cup of creamy dill ranch together in a bowl until well combined. 

Let the tortillas cool until you can handle them. Be gentle because they are now crispy and a bit fragile. Spread 1 heaping tbsp of the Creamy Dill Ranch to within about a ¼ inch of the edge. Spread a heaping ½ cup of shredded mozzarella over the ranch then spread a heaping ½ cup of the buffalo chicken over the cheese. Add as may sliced red onions, extra ranch and cheese as you like to the top of the pizza.

Bake in the 350° oven for 10 mins, then switch the oven to a 500° broil and keep a close eye on it, they burn quickly on this setting. This step will add color and flavor to the top. I leave the pizza in the oven on that setting for 3-5 mins.

Best-Ever Buffalo Chicken Pizza

pizza dough, divided

hot sauce (such as Frank's),

garlic powder

c. shredded cooked chicken

mozzarella,

blue cheese, crumbled

Red onion, thinly sliced

Green onions, thinly sliced

Preheat oven to 500°. Brush two large baking sheets with vegetable oil and sprinkle each with a layer of cornmeal.

Place butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, 20 to 30 seconds. Whisk in hot sauce and garlic powder until combined. Pour half of the&nbsp;buffalo sauce over chicken and toss to coat.

On a lightly floured surface, shape each half of pizza dough into a round ball, then press down the center of each to create a 1/2" crust. With the dough resting on the back of your hands and your knuckles, gently stretch dough out with the help of gravity by moving your hands inch by inch along the crust. Transfer to prepared baking sheets.

Add half of the remaining buffalo sauce to each pizza and spread all over the dough (leaving the outer 1" bare). Divide sauced chicken, torn mozzarella, blue cheese, and red onion evenly between the pizzas.

Bake pizzas until crust is golden and cheese is melty, 15 to 17 minutes. Garnish with green onions and a drizzle of hot sauce (if using)&nbsp;and serve immediately.

this is literally one of the best things i’ve ever eaten, i used premade pizza crust and it still worked perfectly. i was practically crying tears of joy while eating it was THAT good. also super easy to prepare !

This recipe sounded pretty tastey. Was a little worried with high ratings from so few people with no details from them but decided to try it. My wife and I do OMAD and she insists that Friday night is pizza night, which she enjoys more than me. I get tired of even my gourmet pepperoni extraordinaire masterpieces and decided on something completely different. Was very happy with how this turned out! I'd give the final product a 9.4 of 10 on my personal scale, which is an extremely high rating! (Anything 8+ is excellent). I ate the whole pizza in one sitting! (Eating only once a day has it's advantages).

Few comments on what I did. I made a single pizza using a freshly prepared thin pizza crust from a nice grocer (Wegman). It was pretty large. So I can't comment of the pizza crust part. I used this recipe that says it's for 2 pizzas for my single pizza. I was a bit worried the pizza would have a harsh bite (Frank's can be that way on my pallet). But it didn't at all. I found myself drizzling extra hot sauce and blue cheese bits on the pizza as I ate to intensity the flavor even more. Next time I might be a bit more generous with the Frank's. (But I love very spicy food so YMMV. The recipe is extremely good as is and suggest starting there). For chicken I used fresh rotisserie chicken. About 2 cups from breast meat.. For mozzarella I used 8oz of fresh. 

This recipe definitely earned a spot of my pizza favorites list! Highly recommended!!

A bit too much cheese for my liking. Would've been better with less cheese and more toppings. Didn't have a cayanne hot sauce so used 2 Tbs Sriracha sauce instead. Make sure to use bluer/stronger blue cheese, otherwise the blue cheese flavor will come across pretty mild. Otherwise pretty good, though I'd rather stick with a more traditional pizza recipe.

This was delicious and definitely will be on the menu again. I made my own thing crust. We agreed that it would not be as good on a regular or thick crust. I didn't garnish with green onion.

Oh my word....seriously....this pizza made it to our top 3. We opted to put the blue cheese on top after the pie baked, also added some fresh garlic to the butter/hot sauce mix. YUM. We just about devoured the entire thing, and we have ZERO complaints. Just smiles. THANK YOU!

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Buffalo sauce (I used Frank’s)

Line

Place rack in upper 1/3 of oven and preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or dust with cornmeal or flour.

Whisk

In a large bowl, whisk together the Buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and chili powder.

Toss

Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll into a 11x14-inch rectangle. Gently transfer the rolled dough to a prepared baking sheet. Top with the chicken-sauce mixture, leaving a 3/4 inch border around all sides.

Bake

Sprinkle on the mozzarella, blue cheese, and red onion. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until the crust is crisp and golden. Sprinkle with the green onion. Slice and serve.
