10 Tasty Canned Salmon Recipes

1 celery rib, finely chopped

tablespoons finely chopped red onion

1 dill pickle, finely chopped (¼ cup)

salmon (2/3 cup cooked flaked salmon)

tablespoon capers, drained

yogurt

tablespoon mayonnaise

tablespoon Dijon mustard

salt

black pepper

4 slices bread

Lettuce leaves, tomato, etc:

Prep the celery, red onion and dill pickle as noted above.

Drain the salmon and place it in a medium bowl: mash it lightly with a fork. Add the chopped vegetables, capers, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and kosher salt and stir to combine. Taste and add more salt if desired.

If desired, spread the bread with mayonnaise. Add lettuce or other sandwich toppings. Spread the salmon salad onto one half of the bread and top with the other slice of bread.

Canned Salmon Patties

salmon (14.75 oz can, drained and cleaned)

bread crumbs

onions

celery (finely chopped)

mayonnaise

egg (beaten)

butter (for frying)

lemon (for garnish)

dill (for garnish)

Prepare the Salmon

Drain the can of salmon thoroughly. Remove any skin and bones if a smoother texture is preferred.

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the salmon, bread crumbs, green onions, celery, mayonnaise, and beaten egg. Stir until well combined.

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into a patty. Set aside.

Cook the Patties

In a large sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and heated through.

Serve

Plate the patties and garnish with fresh dill and a splash of lemon juice. Enjoy as-is or with a side of potatoes or salad.
