Pineapple, Carrot, and Apple Toning Juice

¼ pineapple, peeled

carrots, peeled

green apple, cored

Recipe: Carrot, Apple, Celery Juice

carrot (in medium pieces)

celery (stalks, leaves, and all)

apple (in medium pieces)

ginger (fresh, about 1 inch)

Chop

Depending on the Juicer you have,you may be able to throw everything in the Juicer without cutting it; or just roughly cutting your produce in big chunks. If not,take out the core of the apple and the tops of the carrots.

Juice

Start introducing all theingredients, combining the leaves and solids, to prevent the juicer fromgetting stuck.

Thin-up

If you want to thin the juice a little, you can add about half a cup of water in the juicer aperture so it drag some of the rest of the fruits and veggies.

Store

You can reserve the juice for of to 24 hours in a mason jar.

Easy Carrot Juice Recipe

I love pineapple smoothies. In this one I use carrot juice for the liquid and it works beautifully, as it’s neither too sweet nor too acidic.

Pineapple Chia Smoothie With Herbs

cored,

soaked chia seeds (1 teaspoon dry unsoaked)

sunflower seeds,

flat-leaf parsley leaves,

mint leaves

Ice cubes

To soak the chia seeds, place in a jar or bowl and add 4 tablespoons water for every tablespoon of chia seeds. Place in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. The seeds and water will be become gelatinous.

Scoop up a tablespoon of seeds with the gooey liquid and place in a blender (don’t worry, your smoothie won’t have this consistency). Add the remaining ingredients and blend for 1 full minute at high speed.

This sweet potato juice recipe includes cinnamon, carrot, apple, and more. It tastes like Thanksgiving dessert, only healthier!

Sweet Potato Pie Juice

6.56 oz sweet potato (1 1/2 medium sweet potatoes)

7.5 oz carrot (3 1/2 medium carrots)

3.75 oz green apple (1/2 medium apple)

3.75 oz red apple (1/2 medium apple)

0.375 oz lemon

0.328 oz ginger (1 inch chunk ginger)

0.1 oz ground cinnamon (1 large pinch)

0.02 oz ground nutmeg (1 small pinch)

0.02 oz ground clove (1 small pinch)

Wash and weigh all produce, making sure to scrub the sweet potatoes in a sink to remove any dirt.

Quarter the lemon (leaving skin on) and place directly into the press. If you don’t have a juice press, peel the lemon and juice with the rest of the ingredients.

Juice all fruits and veggies.

Whisk the spices into the juice.

In this shakshuka variation by the San Francisco chef Mourad Lahlou, lamb and beef kefta (meatballs) are browned, then simmered in a spiced tomato-red pepper sauce. Instead of the usual whole eggs poached in the sauce, Mr. Lahlou adds only the yolks, which burst into a luscious orange sauce when tapped with a fork. In his native Morocco, this kind of dish would traditionally be cooked in a tagine, but a large skillet works equally well. Serve this with flatbread for brunch, lunch or dinner. Chef Lahlou garnishes his shakshuka with edible flowers and micro cilantro, as shown here, but tender cilantro springs will do beautifully, too.

Moroccan Shakshuka

Make the sauce: Over an open flame on the stove top or under the broiler, roast the red pepper until skin is black and blistered all over, 8 to 12 minutes, turning the pepper as needed. Transfer to a heatproof bowl, cover with a plate or plastic wrap and let sit for 15 minutes, until cool enough to handle. Uncover and rub the skin off, then seed and finely chop the pepper.

In a 12-inch cast-iron skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Stir in onion and cook until starting to brown, 7 to 12 minutes. Stir in garlic and roasted red pepper, and sauté for another 2 minutes.

Stir in tomatoes, carrot juice, thyme, salt, paprika, cumin, white pepper, cayenne and 1/4 cup water, and bring to a simmer. Simmer over medium-low heat until mixture is reduced by a third, 40 minutes to 1 hour.

While the sauce simmers, make the kefta: Drizzle olive oil on a rimmed baking sheet and turn on your broiler.

In a large bowl, mix the salt, paprika, cumin, white pepper, cayenne, red onion, parsley, cilantro and garlic. Mix in the beef, lamb and beaten egg just to combine, then scoop out 1 1/2-inch balls, transferring to prepared baking sheet. Flatten balls slightly, then broil without turning until well browned, 3 to 5 minutes.

When ready to serve, stir the preserved lemon, parsley and cilantro into the sauce and bring to a simmer. Arrange kefta in sauce along the outer edges of the skillet, leaving room for the egg yolks in the middle. Simmer kefta balls in sauce until they are cooked through and the sauce has reduced a little more, 10 to 15 minutes. Taste and add more salt if needed.

Slip yolks into the center of the pan, cover pan and heat gently until yolks are warmed through, 2 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately, garnished with cilantro sprigs.

Peel and chop the carrots. Chop the apple, keeping the skin on. Peel the orange.

Place the carrots, apple, orange, salt, and water in a blender. Blend on high until pureed and a juice forms.

Pass the juice through a fine mesh sieve or a nut milk bag to strain out the pulp. Discard the pulp (or use: see ideas above). Stir in the fresh lemon juice. Drink immediately or chill before drinking.

For the life of me, I can't understand why would anyone throw away the pulp. That's the most nutritious content containing rich fibre and lowers blood sugar, besides keeping one with fuller feeling.

After stirring in lemon it was better, but foamy. In a container in fridge hoping it will separate. No pulp to strain though. I'm a newbie &amp; will try just carrots and water next time.

Carrot Juice Recipe (Juicing in Blender & Juicer)

Rinse the carrots very well in water. Dry them with a clean kitchen towel or allow them to drain naturally, and peel them. 

Rinse the celery stem and dry it naturally or with a clean kitchen towel.

Chop carrots in small cubes. Chop the celery roughly.

Prep Carrots

Add both the carrots and celery to the blender. Add ¼ to ½ cup of water, or as needed. Take care not to add too much water as this will thin the juice. Only add water as required to help the carrot to pulverize in the blender.

Blend to a smooth and fine puree like consistency, making sure there are no visible small chunks of carrots in the mixture.

Place a bowl below a fine mesh strainer. Pour the blended carrot mixture onto the strainer to strain the juice.

With a spoon, press the fiber pulp all over to extract as much juice as possible. Serve the carrot juice that has collected in the bowl immediately. 

Blender Method

Add the carrot cubes and chopped celery in the feeder tube of your juice and extract the juice.

Serve the carrot juice immediately.

Juicer Method

This freshly squeezed carrot and ginger juice refreshing, light, yet with a little zing, and packed with health benefits! All you need are just two ingredients and a few minutes of your time to make this morning immune-system boosting pick-me-up! 

Refreshing Carrot Ginger Juice (2 Methods)

First, scrub/clean your carrots* well. I tend to do this immediately after buying them, so I don&#039;t have to do this each time I want to use a carrot.

Chop the carrots to a size that fits your juicer chute and then begin to feed the carrots through the chute.

How To Make Carrot Juice

To prepare the ginger, first, scrub it well to clean it ( optionally, you can peel it- though organic ginger can be left unpeeled).

Chop it into pieces that fit your juicer chute if necessary, then feed into the chute. ( In fact, I have a ginger juice recipe post)

Once juiced, mix the combined juice, and it&#039;s ready to enjoy!Optionally, you could add some lemon too (peel and then place the amount you want to add into the juicer chute.

How To Make Ginger Juice

If you want to make this juice with a (high-speed) blender, then you&#039;ll need to peel and chop the carrots into 1-2&quot; pieces, add the chopped, peeled ginger, and then add around 1/4-1/2 cup of water to the blender too ( to help it blend without diluting the juice TOO much).Blend it until pureed. It will look like a thick smoothie consistency.

Then sieve the juice. You can do this through a sieve, using a spoon to help press the juice out. Alternatively, use a nut milk bag and lightly squeeze it to get the juice out. Enjoy!

To Use A Blender

Carrot juice is best consumed immediately for the highest amount of nutrients. Though you can store leftover carrot ginger juice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days if needed.You can freeze the juice too - though it separates when thawing so is then best used for culinary uses like dressings, etc. You could also pop a few of the carrot ginger juice ice-cubes into smoothies.

Add all of the ingredients to a juicer and process. You can also add to a blender and puree until smooth.

Transfer blended carrot mixture to a fine mesh strainer lined with a piece of cheese cloth over a large bowl. Use a spatula to press all the juice out of the pulp. (I also twist up the top of the cheesecloth and press the pulp with my hands too.)

Serve over ice. Add a splash of sparkling water for some bubbles!
