These Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries are crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. These homemade fries are incredibly easy to make and turn out perfectly cooked, not greasy, and finger-licking good. These seasoned fries are cooked to perfection in the air fryer and make a great side dish or snack. But the best part? They&#039;re actually good for you! Made with just a few simple ingredients, this recipe is sure to become a family favorite. I will warn you, though, they are addicting!

The Best Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

sweet potatoes (or 4 medium sweet potatoes)

cornstarch

garlic powder

paprika

tsp sea salt

tsp black pepper

olive oil

Peel

Wash and peel your sweet potatoes.  Slice the sweet potatoes in half lengthwise with a sharp knife on a cutting board.  Then cut each half in half again lengthwise.  You will have 4 sections of sweet potato.  Cut each section into fries.  You want them to be quite small, about ¼-inch wide.

Soak

Place the sweet potato fries into a large bowl, and cover with cold water.  Let them soak for a minimum of 1 hour or as long as overnight.

Drain the water out and place the sweet potatoes on a towel on the counter.  Pat dry with paper towels.  You want them to be as dry as possible.

Season

Place sweet potatoes in a large bowl.  Add about 3 tsp of cornstarch, ¾ tsp of garlic powder, ¾ tsp paprika, ½ tsp of sea salt, and ⅛ tsp of black pepper. Use a large spoon and mix up the cornstarch and seasonings into the sweet potatoes.  The white cornstarch will disappear. Add 3 tbsp of olive oil, and mix it up again.

Cook

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Add the sweet potatoes to the basket of the air fryer in a single layer, with space between them to allow the hot air to circulate. Do not overcrowd the basket.  Cook in small batches so that they cook evenly and get really crispy.

Shake

Set the cooking time for 15 minutes, and be sure to give the air fryer basket a good shake every 5 minutes.

Serve

That&#39;s it! Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

This spicy Morrocan-inspired carrot slaw is sure to be a hit at your next party or family meal. It's a perfect side for burgers, BBQ or even holiday meals!

Spicy Carrot Slaw

carrots,

green onions, thinly sliced

¼ cup parsley, finely minced

apricots

almonds

serrano peppers, seeds removed and thinly sliced

olive oil (60 mL)

lemon juice (30 mL)

vegan mayonnaise (15 g)

light agave nectar

wholegrain mustard (5 g)

Za’atar seasoning

sea salt

black pepper

Mix Slaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the carrots, green onion, parsley, apricots, almonds, and serranos. Toss to combine. 

Mix Dressing

In a small jar or bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, mayonnaise, agave, mustard, za&#8217;atar, and salt. 

Combine

Pour the dressing over the carrot slaw and toss to combine. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Carrot Raisin Salad

carrots, grated or matchstick

lime or orange zest (or some of both)

garlic clove, finely minced garlic

ginger,

raisins

cashews

scallions

cilantro

lime juice (or sub apple cider vinegar)

tablespoons, maple syrup, honey

salt

pepper

½ teaspoon ground turmeric

yellow curry powder

cayenne

Place all ingredients in a bowl and toss well. Taste. Adjust salt, acid and sweetness to taste.

This will keep up to 4 days in the fridge.

½ tsp kosher salt (3 grams)

tsp Everything bagel seasoning or toasted sesame seeds (3 grams)

Add everything to a large bowl and combine well.
