c. shredded Cheddar

This time I followed the video instead of the directions (meaning I loaded the fillings on the tortillas and browned them in a pan first), and they turned out well. A good use for leftover hot dogs!

I followed the instructions, which say "Top a tortilla with cheddar, Monterey Jack, jalapeño, green onion, and chili powder. Top with another tortilla. Spread the top tortilla with some nacho sauce and set a hot dog at one end. Roll up the tortilla around the hot dog. Repeat with remaining ingredients," then tell you to fry the rolled up tortillas in oil. It was an absolute mess because much of the cheese fell out of the rolls before I could even fry them. Then after we had cleaned it all up, I watched the video, which shows that you top a tortilla with cheese and the other ingredients, top with another tortilla, then heat them in a frying pan to melt the cheese, THEN you roll the hot dogs up in them. I should have known better than to blindly follow the written instructions because of past problems like this, but this lack of care on the part of this website is simply mind boggling. I will say that despite the cheese everywhere, which I tried to stuff back in, and the fact that they didn't fit in even a large frying pan because they were so bulky (because the cheese wasn't melted beforehand), the flavor was good, and we liked the crispy texture of the tortillas. However, the nacho cheese, made from a recipe on this site, congealed so badly that it was impossible to put any on top of the finished quesadogas, nor did we have any sour cream that can be "drizzled." I'd rate the quesadogas themselves as a 5, but due to the totally inaccurate instructions, can only give them a 1.

It is so good! Definitely recommend it to people who haven’t tried

I just made this for my family and they loved it. I baked them rather than frying them in a pan.

These beef and cheese quesadillas are so delicious and easy to make, that they&#39;ll be a hit with the whole family! Whether you&#39;re looking for a quick lunch or an easy dinner option, these beef and cheese quesadillas will fit the bill.

Beef and Cheese Quesadilla

Large flour tortillas

Ground beef

½ Large onion sliced thinly

Packet of taco seasoning

Water

¼ C. Taco sauce

C. Shredded cheddar cheese

Tbsp. Butter

Cook the ground beef and onion over medium high heat until completely browned and the onion has softened. Drain any excess fat.

Add the taco seasoning and water to the ground beef and simmer for 5 minutes.

Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Place one large flour tortilla in the skillet and top with ½ cup of cheese.

Add ½ of the meat mixture to the tortilla and sprinkle with another ½ cup of cheese.

Place an additional flour tortilla on top. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the tortilla on the bottom is browned and crispy, then flip and cook another 1-2 minutes. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet.

Repeat steps 3-6 to make a second large quesadilla.

Slice and serve topped with sour cream and chopped cilantro for garnish.
