cheeseburger pizza

I've been dreaming of making this Cheeseburger Pizza for months! I've combined two of my favorites into one, out of this world party food!

Cheeseburger Pizza

all purpose flour

pizza crust yeast (1/4 oz. pkg.)

tsp sugar

salt

water

tbsp oil

sesame seeds

beef

tsp black pepper

onion (diced)

mayo

tbsp ketchup (divided)

hot sauce

colby jack cheese (shredded)

dill pickle chips ((sliced)drained)

Mustard

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12" pizza pan and set aside.

Combine 1 cup four, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add water and oil. Mix until well blended, about 1 minute. Gradually add in enough flour until a soft dough ball is formed. Dough will be slightly sticky.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead the dough, adding additional flour if need, until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 4 minutes). Press the dough out to fit the prepared pizza pan.

For the Pizza Dough:

Beat the egg with 1 tbsp water and brush the edges of the dough with the egg wash mixture. Sprinkle the edges with the sesame seeds.

Brown the hamburger in a skillet over medium heat with the seasoned salt, black pepper and diced onion. Cook until no longer pink and drain any excess fat.

Meanwhile combine the mayo, 2 1/2 tbsp ketchup and the hot sauce in a small dish and whisk until smooth. Spread this mixture over the base of the pizza dough with the back of a spoon. Top with the cooked ground beef.

Spread the shredded cheese over the top. Drizzle the remaining ketchup and mustard over the top of the pizza, followed by the dill pickle chips.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until center is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!

For the Pizza:

A Papa John&#039;s copycat recipe, this Cheeseburger Pizza is topped with a special sauce, ground beef,  mozzarella, pickles, and onion.

mozzarella cheese

dill pickle coins

onion

ketchup

mustard

mayonnaise

Make the pizza dough.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Roll out/stretch pizza dough and pre-bake the dough for 6 minutes.

Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, browning and breaking up into small pieces until it&#039;s cooked through. Remove grease.

Combine pizza sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

Spread sauce on pre-baked pizzas. Sprinkle a small amount of cheese on top of the sauce. Sprinkle ground beef and onion on top of the cheese and spread desired number of pickle slices on the pizza. Top with additional cheese. Bake for 8-12 minutes

Cheeseburger Flatbreads

stone fire flatbreads

unsalted butter, melted

American cheese

Roma tomatoes, ½’ thick sliced

pickles, sliced very thin

whole milk mozzarella,

Ketchup and mustard, for drizzling

Garlic aioli & baby arugula,

Preheat the oven to 375° F and prepare two parchment-lined sheet trays.

Brush melted butter around the edges of the premade flatbreads and sprinkle the sesame seeds around the edges on the prepared sheet trays. Par-bake for 10 minutes.

Preheat a saute pan over medium-high heat, then add ground beef to the pan to brown. Season with salt and pepper.

When the beef is browned, drain the beef and add back to the pan with sliced American cheese.

Assembly flatbreads with a zigzag drizzle of ketchup in the center of each flatbread, followed by mustard. Top with mozzarella cheese, then ground beef, red onion, and sliced tomato.

Bake flatbread in the oven for 12 - 15 minutes or until cheese is bubble and crusts are deeply golden.

Finish your flatbread with garlic aioli and sliced pickles. Slice and enjoy!
