Whip up this cheap, simple and satisfying meal in just 30 minutes.

Cheesy broccoli pasta bake

penne

broccoli,cut into florets

butter

plain flour

milk

tbsp wholegrain mustard

mature cheddar,grated

Cook the pasta, adding the broccoli for the final 4-5 mins and cooking until tender. Drain well, then heat the grill.

Heat the butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 min, then gradually add the milk, stirring well between each addition. Bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for 2 mins, before stirring in the mustard, half the cheese and seasoning.

Mix the pasta and broccoli into the sauce and spoon into an ovenproof dish. Scatter over the remaining cheese and place under a hot grill for 3-4 mins until golden and bubbling.

This easy baked ravioli casserole takes about 20 minutes from start to finish and requires just 5 minutes of prep time because you don’t need to boil the ravioli first!

Baked Ravioli

spaghetti sauce

water

oregano

thyme

garlic powder

Parmesan cheese

heavy cream

cheese

mozzarella cheese

Kosher salt

cracked pepper

parsley,

Parmesan,

Add spinach, spaghetti sauce, water, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, Parmesan, heavy cream, ravioli, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper to a large baking dish. 

Stir until everything is well combined. 

Top with fresh mozzarella and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Cover with a lid or a tight-fitting piece of tin foil.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until ravioli is cooked al dente and the sauce is bubbly.

Remove lid/foil and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese on top starts to turn dark golden brown.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and enjoy!

Looks and sounds like such a tasty dish! Love that it’s kinda fancy but also easy and rather quick to make! Addition of the red wine to the sauce must give it a lovely rich texture and beautiful flavour!

This recipe is so good! My boyfriend and I have made it a couple times over the past few months and we love it. We went to make it tonight and noticed that the meat was no longer included in the recipe!! We couldn’t remember what it called for but we decided to add 1/2 lb of ground lamb and it looks like it will be right. I can’t tell if other parts of the recipe changed with the update a few days ago. Is there any way you can remind me of the other things that are different from the original version of this recipe? This cheesy lentil pasta is the perfect hearty comfort food - made in just 20 minutes, with 6 store cupboard ingredients! Plus it&#039;s kid friendly and full of goodness.

Cheesy Lentil Pasta

300 g (~ 10 1/2 oz) pasta

(~ 1 cup) red lentils

150 g (~ 1 cup) frozen sweetcorn

150 g (~ 1 cup) frozen peas

mushrooms

175 g mature cheddar cheese, (grated (~ 1 3/4 cups when grated))

Salt

Black pepper

Add all of the ingredients except for the cheese to a large saucepan. Add a generous amount of water, and boil for around 15 minutes, until the pasta is soft and the lentils are starting to break down. Drain the water.

Add the grated cheese and some salt and pepper to the pan, and turn the heat down low. Mix well to combine, until the cheese has fully melted. Best served immediately.

Highly economical and very tasty. Nice both hot and cold.

Flavorful, creamy, and cheesy Indian-inspired pasta bake infused with ginger, garlic, and garam masala. Comforting, filling, and easy to make!

Cheesy Tikka Masala Pasta Bake

raw cashews (soaked overnight)

yeast

tbsp white miso

tbsp white wine

maple syrup

cornstarch

onion powder

turmeric

penne pasta

tbsp oil

tbsp ginger (grated)

tbsp garam masala

tsp each: turmeric, chili

tsp cumin

tsp salt

tomatoes

coconut milk

cilantro

Drain the cashews and transfer them to a high-speed blender. Add all the other ingredients: water, nutritional yeast, miso, white wine, maple syrup, cornstarch, onion and garlic powder, and turmeric.

Blend on high speed for about 10 seconds or until smooth. Taste and add salt if needed (depending on how salty your miso is). Transfer the cheese sauce to a small bowl and set aside.

Cheesy Sauce

Cook the penne according to the package instructions.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

While the pasta is cooking, heat the oil in a large iron skillet. Once hot, add the garlic and grated ginger, and sautée for about 3 minutes.

Add the garam masala, turmeric, chili, cumin, and salt, and cook for one more minute. Pour in the crushed tomatoes with their juice, maple syrup, coconut milk, and water.

Let simmer for 5-7 minutes. Next, drain the penne pasta and add it to the skillet. Stir to coat the pasta with the sauce. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 10 minutes.

Remove the skillet from the oven and pour the cheesy sauce over the pasta. Use the back of a spoon to spread it evenly.

Bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheesy sauce is golden brown. You can put it under the grill for the last few minutes for better caramelization.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. This pasta bake is best served the same day but will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. To reheat, cover with foil and warm in a 400°F preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

This is such a delicious twist on the pasta bake i normally make.  My teenagers loved it and are taking the leftovers to school for lunch today with a salad. I have two sons that are begins that we eat vegan a lot at our house. I've made this three times and it's consistent and wonderful every time.
This time I didn't have wine so I just took some soy-based Parmesan sprinkles and added it to the cheese mixture. It's a keeper!
I have used your sight more than any other vegan site to make really good vegan food and a lot of times it's very beautiful and elegant dish. My other favorite is the green Thai curry Bowl absolutely love that one!

An outrageously cheesy green pasta inspired by spinach artichoke dip. It’s comforting with just a hint of goodness, and quick and easy to make.

Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Pasta Bake

Spinach

Parsley

Cornflour

Garlic Clove

Onion Granule

Milk

Vegetable Stock

Fusilli

Jarred Artichokes

Cheddar

Mozzarella

Add the spinach, parsley, cornflour, peeled garlic cloves, onion granules and milk to a blender and blitz until smooth. 

Set a large saucepan over a high heat. Pour in the blended milk mixture, vegetable stock and pasta. Stir together and season with salt and plenty of freshly cracked black pepper. Bring to the boil, then turn the heat down to medium and leave to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked to al dente (normally around 10 mins but follow the packet instructions). Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Meanwhile, drain the artichokes and chop any large ones into bite sized chunks. Heat the grill to high.

Once the pasta is cooked, stir through the artichokes, grated Cheddar and ½ the grated mozzarella. If you want it saucier, stir through a splash of water.

Tip the pasta into an ovenproof dish, scatter the remaining mozzarella over the top and season with freshly cracked black pepper. Slide under the grill for 2-5 mins until golden.

Leave it to cool for a couple of minutes before tucking in (warning: it's HOT!).

Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. It doesn't taste as green as it looks and I could definitely compare it to a mac and cheese like a previous commenter said. I also used protein pasta to up the protein amount.

It does take a touch longer to boil than the recipe says but it turned out fine once the pasta was done and the sauce was thick.

We didn’t love this recipe. Our pasta took 2.5 times longer to cook in the spinach sauce than in water.

As comforting as mac and cheese but more nutritious and so easy! I used gluten free fusilli which worked fine. Tasted even better the next day. The portion size is huge for 4 people though. Also I can’t see where the olive oil comes in?
