My easy and delicious chia seed jam can be made with various types of fruits. Try it as a spread on my crepes, gluten-free pancakes, and porridge.

Easy Chia Seed Jam Recipe

fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.)

maple syrup

chia seeds

lemon juice

If using strawberries, nectarines, apricots, etc., slice them into small pieces. No need to do anything to small berries.

In a pot on medium heat, add the fruit, maple syrup and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, using your spoon to help the fruit break down.

Use a potato masher or immersion blender to puree the fruit, then turn off the heat.

Stir in the chia seeds and transfer the jam to a storage container. Place in the refrigerator to cool.

Chia seed jam is a healthy and delicious alternative to store-bought jam. It’s easy to make and uses fresh ingredients that you won’t feel guilty about. I'm making strawberry chia seed jam in this tutorial video, but you can use blueberries or any other fruit. The recipe link is below:

EASY CHIA SEED JAM | healthy homemade jam recipe

More fruity than sweet, this soft jam tastes like fresh, crushed strawberries on toast.  The lighlty cooked rhubarb adds a hint of tart in every bite.  Hello toast!

Strawberry Rhubarb Freezer Jam

Strawberries (fresh

Rhubarb diced (fresh or frozen)

Sugar

pkg Freezer Jam Pectin* (I use Bernardin No Cook Freezer Jam Pectin)

Wash and clean fresh strawberries or thaw frozen strawberries.

In a saucepan, bring rhubarb and 1-2 Tbsp water (just enough to cover the bottom of the pot) to a boil.  Simmer for 6-8 minutes until rhubarb is soft and tender.

Place strawberries in a 9x13 casserole dish or baking pan so they&#39;re easy to mash. Use a potato masher or fork to squish them to your desired size (they will be exactly as you mash them since they don&#39;t get cooked). I don&#39;t recommend using a blender or food processor as they get too liquidy.

Add in the cooked rhubarb and mix well. Mash the combined mix a little more until nicely mixed.

When finished, you should have 4 cups (1 L) of crushed fruit.

In separate small bowl, mix sugar and pectin.

Add pectin to fruit. Stir until pectin is completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.

Pour into clean jars or plastic freezer containers leaving a ½ inch (1.2 cm) headspace to allow for expansion.

Wipe rim with clean cloth and seal.

Let stand for 30 minutes to set.

Keep in fridge for 3 weeks or in freezer for 1 year or longer.

Keto Strawberry Chia Seed Jam

monk fruit/allulose confectioners ((or Swerve confectioners))

Add the strawberries and lemon juice in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for a 3-4 minutes, stirring often.

Add in the monk fruit/allulose and cook for another 2 minutes.

Turn off the heat and stir in the chia seeds until well combined. If your jam isn’t quite thick enough, add in more chia seeds, but keep in mind, it will thicken a bit more in the fridge.

Allow the chia seed jam to cool on the counter for 20 minutes to cool. Then mash up the strawberries as chunky as you like, or transfer mixture to a food processor and blend.

Store up to one week in the fridge in an airtight jar or freeze for up to 3 months.

Easy Chia Cherry Jam

Are you looking for a thick and sweet keto jam to spread on your keto toast or make a PB&J? Keto chia seed jam is an easy and delicious way to make a berry-filled jam without adding any extra sugar. It even has all of the flavors of regular jam! No canning required.

Cook the berries

Add the strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries to a medium-sized saucepan and cook over medium heat. Cover and cook until the berries are soft, about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat.

Add chia seeds and smash the berries

Stir in chia seeds, monk fruit sweetener and fresh lemon juice to the berries. Mash everything together with a potato masher or fork, leaving some larger pieces of berries for texture if desired.

Let cool 

Cool to room temperature, and then store the jam covered in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

Healthy 3-Ingredient Chia Seed Blueberry Jam

Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat and add the blueberries. Add the honey and place on the stove over medium heat.

As the blueberries begin to soften slightly over the heat, stir them around in their juices and the honey.

Once the berries have softened to the point that they're starting to fall apart, add the chia seeds and stir them in well. The chia seeds will help the jam achieve a gelatinous texture while also adding fibre, protein and healthy Omega-3 fats.

Let the mixture come to a slow boil, stirring almost continually.&nbsp;Use a potato masher or fork to break up the blueberries. if necessary.

Continue stirring the mixture over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until a gelatinous texture is reached, and then remove the pan from the stove.

Pour the jam into a large mason jar and allow it to cool, covered, at room temperature for half an hour before placing it in the fridge to cool completely (for 2 hours, or overnight).

Enjoy on toast, gluten-free crackers or scones, over yogurt or even ice cream.
