I should warn you: these chocolate covered marshmallows are dangerously addictive! They're fun, sweet, and perfect for parties and gift-giving.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each spin, until smooth and shiny.

Dip Method 1: Use a fork or skewer to dip the marshmallows into the chocolate, either halfway or fully submerged. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then carefully transfer them to the baking sheet and sprinkle over any desired toppings.

Dip Method 2: Dip the tips of 35 lollipop or cake pop sticks into the melted chocolate and insert them into each marshmallow. Repeat until all the marshmallows have sticks, then let the chocolate set. Use the stick to dip the marshmallow into the chocolate. Then, stand them upright on the baking sheet or insert then ends into a styrofoam block. Add any desired toppings while the chocolate is still wet.

When all the marshmallows are dipped and decorated, place the tray into the fridge for 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate is hard. Serve and enjoy!

Melt the chocolate and the coconut oil in a tall mason jar in the microwave in 30 second increments. This will ensure that you don&#39;t burn the chocolate. Microwave it for 30 seconds, stir and do it again until it is completely melted.

Using a skewer, dip one marshmallow at a time in the melted chocolate then pull it out and shake it a little to let the excess chocolate drip off.

Turn the marshmallow up right with the skewer fitting in between the fork tines and gently pull out the skewer.

Using the skewer slowly and carefully push the marshmallow off the fork and onto the prepared and lined baking sheet.

Now is the time to decorate the marshmallow. While the chocolate is not completely hard add your desired toppings and let it harden.

Place the marshmallow tray in the fridge and let the chocolate set, this will take about 20 minutes! Enjoy :)

I made these on popsicle sticks for my kiddos end of year class party.  They had voted for s'mores and these were the closest thing I could make for easy serving.  I crumbled up some brown butter chocolate chip cookies (harder in consistency) and dipped them in the crumbs.   Sooooo good and a huge hit.  Honestly, I liked them better than s'mores.  Thank you!

These turned out perfect. I tried twice this week to make them in a double boiler but believe my chocolate scorched both time and I had to throw all of it away twice. I went in search of another recipe and decided to try yours. It is so easy that you should rename it the No Fail Chocolate Covered Marshmallows.

Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows are a fun activity for any holiday, made with marshmallows dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in colorful sprinkles!

Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows

marshmallows (regular size (about one bag))

chocolate chips ((about two bags))

shortening

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place each marshmallow on a lollipop stick and stand up on the sheet pan. Set your sprinkles out in separate bowls to make it easier to dip after the chocolate.

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add half of the chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of shortening. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until chocolate is melted and smooth.

Take a marshmallow and dip into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Gently shake the marshmallow to remove excess chocolate. Dip marshmallow into the sprinkles, then set back onto the prepared baking sheet standing up.

Repeat with the rest of the marshmallows. If you run out of chocolate, melt the next bag of chocolate chips with the remaining shortening using the same method.

Place marshmallows in the refrigerator for 20 minutes while the chocolate sets.
