This chopped chicken bacon ranch sub is fully loaded and packed with flavor. You get a bit of everything in each bite! Its so good! 

Chopped chicken bacon ranch sub

boneless, skinless grilled chicken thighs (Or any cooked chicken you prefer)

crispy thick cut bacon

tomato

lettuce

ranch dressing

salt

pepper

mozzarella cheese

all purpose bbq rub

sub rolls

First season your chicken thighs with an all purpose bbq rub and grill them at medium high heat until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.  

Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy and toast your sub rolls on the grill. 

Onto a cutting board add a base layer of shredded lettuce, then add chicken, bacon, and tomatoes. Chop up everything, making sure its well mixed together. 

Next season with salt and pepper, add mozzarella cheese, and ranch. 

Chop and mix one more time to incorporate. 

Scoop a pile of the chopped ingredients onto a sub roll and serve. 

Will be making this. Looks like a great sandwich.

I’m going to take this amazing recipe and tweak its perfection to be slightly more fat free. Making ranch from yogurt, 86’ing the mozz, and swapping the hoagie for a little less bread maybe open faced. This recipe is killer my dude!! Good job!

hoagie rolls

pepperoni

salami

provolone cheese

banana peppers

red onions

mayonnaise

olive oil

red wine vinegar

Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper

Start with a base layer of shredded lettuce, then add your meats, cheese, tomatoes, banana peppers and red onions in a pile.

Chop up everything together, making sure it&#8217;s well mixed together.

Next add mayonnaise, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Scoop a pile of the chopped Italian ingredients onto a hoagie roll and serve.

I made it it was so good but I changed it up I used kewpie mayo it was fabulous

I made it and this was wonderful! I put it in a skillet and heated for a few minutes . I also added a bit of pesto to the dressing. Thank you for sharing this! My husband had a great idea to make the chopped Italian sub for a lake day! We chopped everything minus the Mayo, oil, and vinegar (those were added to a separate container) and placed in Tupperware overnight. Mixed everything together once we were ready to eat and scooped onto hoagie rolls! Easiest sandwiches on the boat, hands down! So good!

Soo delicious! Made it for dinner while camping and it was the best meal of the trip! Added chopped pickles and tapenade too!

Family of 7 here, including a picky 4 year old who only likes cauliflower (lol). Every single person loved it! We've had it 3 times in the last 2 weeks on toasted whole wheat French bread loaf. I made it exactly as the recipe calls and it was excellent, then we modified it for experimental purposes and still loved it. We keep it in a big bowl in the fridge and surprisingly it's just as delicious the next day for lunch despite the fact that lettuce gets "soggy". Nope! Or maybe we just don't care! Haha. We've subbed bananas peppers with bread and butter pickles and still a thumbs up! I love that I can sneak in veggies like finely chopped carrot and celery and green olive and they hardly notice. So good,  finally,  finally made this for dinner.

I got to use my new food dicer/ chopper &amp; experiment with the size and found out what is capable of. Not usefully with cheese slices on the smallest squares,  perhaps if they were par-froze!  ;)

I made this for a Super Bowl party and it was a hit!  So many people asked for the recipe. It was easy to make and the flavor is great served on a fresh hoagie roll.

This simple and fresh Chopped Italian Sandwich is full of roasted red peppers, red onion, sliced olives, artichokes, tomato, mozzarella cheese, and romaine. Then, it&#039;s drizzled with mayo, oil, vinegar, and Italian seasoning and piled on a sub roll.

hot dog buns

romaine lettuce

tomatoes

red peppers (drained well)

onion

olives

marinated artichoke halves (drained well)

mayonnaise (may sub with sour cream

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

tbsp vinegar

Kosher salt and pepper (to taste)

On a clean chopping board spread the shredded lettuce. Top with a layer of each: tomato slices, mozzarella, peppers, red onion slices, olives and artichokes.

Use a chef's knife and chop everything together.

Drizzle with mayo, olive oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper to your taste. Toss until combined.

Then scoop the filling into the buns and serve.

Amazing Italian Vegetable Sub. So many great ingredients. I was wondering about adding meat, but read your write up Rena. As an option, adding meat will enhance the taste only if one chooses too. It’s a great Italian Vegetable Sub.

An incredibly tasty chopped Italian sandwich mix made on the famous Kings Hawaiian Rolls!

Chopped Italian Sliders

oz Shredded Lettuce

Cup Mayonnaise

Cup Red Onion, diced

Cup Dill Pickles, chopped

Cup Pickled Banana Peppers, chopped

oz Deli Sliced Ham

oz Deli Sliced Salami

4-6 oz Smoked Provolone cheese, sliced

Tbs Butter, melted

Tbs Dried Italian Seasoning

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cut the rolls in half, and set the top buns aside. Spread a few tablespoons of mayonnaise on the bottom buns. Place in the oven-safe tray or a 9x13 baking dish and bake for 7-10 minutes or until they are golden brown.

While the rolls are in the oven chop up the deli meats and heat thoroughly in a skillet over medium heat.

Mix together all of the ingredients for the salad topping.

When the bottom rolls are toasted place a layer of provolone on top, followed by the heated meats. Cover with the top buns. Mix the melted butter and Italian seasoning together and brush on top. Bake for another 5-7 minutes.

Carefully remove the top buns and cover the meat with the salad mixture.  Place the top buns back on and slice them up carefully and enjoy!

Amazing! I made these tonight for dinner! I precut the onions, peppers and meats and stored them in the refrigerator until dinner time!

I was able to put them all together super fast and even cooked them in the airfryer/oven. 
 Even my picky eater loved them!

I make this as just a salad and leave out the bread since I have celiac. It's so good as a side dish or a meal during the summer! Thanks so much!

This was a big hit at my house! Thanks for a great recipe! Everyone declared it a keeper. Easy and delicious. I skipped the salami because I'm not a fan, did turkey pepperoni and low fat mayo. In the future I will do less mayo, the salad was SOOOOO good, but too wet.

These are so delicious! My husband said they are one of the tastiest food I've made in our 18 years of marriage! Fo yourself a favor and try them - they are easy to whip up and full of flavor!

These are worth the mess they making eating them.  They are very messy to eat but damn delicious.  Switch up the salad mixture to your liking. I added green and black olives to mine, as well as the things called for here. I just cut back on the peppers and pickles to keep the proportions the same.  I have made these about 4 times since finding this recipe about 6 months ago.  Everyone loves them.  Don't make the mistake of putting a few to the side to save for someone not there yet.  They will magically disappear. Better to lock them up in the safe if you want to keep some for later.

I am an accomplished cook and have tried hundresd of appitizer/game/ party type food over the years.  This are one of my favorite things to make and require very little skill or prep time.  They always disapperar quickly and everyone raves about how good they are.  They will go soggy fast so don't make the lettuce mixture up early and do assemble them until right before you are going to eat them.  If you are not going to eat them all at once only put the lettuce mixture on what you plan to eat and dress the others later.  They are a winner and a keeper! Thank you for this recipe.
