Cilantro lime slaw is easy to make and seriously delicious! Make this spicy coleslaw recipe to serve with fish tacos or summer sandwiches.

Spicy Cilantro Lime Slaw

coleslaw mix ((See Note 1))

plain Greek yogurt

mayonnaise

cilantro leaves (packed)

onions

garlic

limes (zested and juiced (See Note 2))

jalapeño

tsp cumin

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

pumpkin seeds ((See Note 3))

Combine the yogurt, mayonnaise, cilantro, green onions, garlic, 1/4 cup lime juice plus zest, jalapeño, cumin, salt, black pepper and pumpkin seeds in a food processor or blender. Pulse a few times until the mixture is blended (See Note 4).

Place the cole slaw mix in a large salad bowl. Pour the dressing over the cole slaw, tossing until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Season with extra salt and or pepper if needed.

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

This quick and easy cilantro lime slaw is our favorite topping for shrimp tacos, fish tacos, veggie burgers and more!

Cilantro Lime Slaw

finely shredded cabbage ((green, red,

jalapeño pepper

apple cider vinegar

TBSP honey

lime (, juiced (plus extra to taste))

⅛ tsp salt (plus any extra to taste)

cilantro leaves ((as much as you'd like!))

Shred and measure your cabbage. I love using a combinagtion or green and red cabbge when I have both handy but using all green or all red works too! The thinner you can slice/shave it the better it will be for topping. This can be done with a chefs knife, a box grater, or even a mandolin.

Remove the stem from the jalapeno and cut in half. Scoop out the seeds and insides from the jalapeño with a spoon for a milder slaw or add some of the seeds back in for a spicier slaw. Finely mince or slice the pepper and combine witht the slaw in a medium/small bowl.

Start with 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar and the juice of half a lime. Season with salt, sweeten slightly with honey, and add your chopped cilantro leaves.

Mix well and let it sit for a few minutes. Taste the slaw and add extra of any of the ingredients to taste. I like to add extra cilantro to mine!

The jalapeño and it&#039;s seeds will control the heat, honey will control the sweetness, and vinegar/lime juice will control the zestiness of the slaw. If you every go overboard with any one particular add-in, extra shredded cabbage can be added to even it out so don&#039;t fret and have fun wiht it!

Allow the slaw to sit and marinate while you prep your tacos and load them up with as much slaw as your heart desires. Enjoy!

bag coleslaw mix (7 to 8 cups)

Shred the red cabbage and chop the cilantro. Place it in a large bowl with the coleslaw mix.

Mix in the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lime juice, maple syrup, chili powder, kosher salt, and fresh ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 days.

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix (or green cabbage), purple cabbage, 1/4 cup cilantro, lime juice, 1 tsp. honey (if using), salt, and pepper.

Stir to combine well. (The slaw may still look a bit dry. Don&#8217;t add more liquid yet!)

Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes on the counter or in the refrigerator. (The cabbage will soften, and the mixture will get &#8220;juicier&#8221;)

Stir again and taste. Add additional cilantro, salt, pepper, honey, or lime juice to taste.

Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 2 days. (Slaw will continue to soften in the refrigerator.)

Love this! So very pretty! Bright and fresh and accompanied BBQ ribs and fresh picked sweet corn perfectly. Will consider playing with the other additions but it is scrumptious exactly as it is. I opted to include the honey.

Add the mayonnaise, lime juice, and sugar to a small mixing bowl and whisk together until smooth.

Place the cabbage, cilantro, green onion, and jalapeno in a separate medium mixing bowl and toss with a wooden spoon until ingredients are evenly mixed together. Drizzle the dressing over the cabbage mixture and gently toss it together with the wooden spoon until all of the caabbage is coated with the dressing.

Season the cabbage with salt and cracked black pepper, garnish with fresh cilantro leaves, and enjoy!
