This amazing recipe combines the fun-loving youthfulness of Jello with the respect of a good cup of coffee. If you’re familiar with making gelatin, this one should be a cinch. And it has a pretty short ingredient list too!

Coffee Jelly

2 cups coffee

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp gelatin powder

4 tbsp water

Combine coffee and sugar in saucepan and mix

Heat until almost boiling and then turn off the heat

In a separate glass combine gelatin and water and stir thoroughly

Add gelatin mixture to the saucepan and stir until fully dissolved. Let cool

Pour contents of saucepan into bowl(s) or a shallow pan

Put into refrigerator and leave until gelatin has fully set

Serve it in a cup or bowl with half and half, flavored creamer, or whipped cream on top

Ingredients
Coffee jelly:
1 pack (25g) white unflavored gulaman
5 cups water
½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons instant coffee powder

Cream mixture:
1 can (370mL) evaporated milk
1 can (300mL) condensed milk
1 pack (250mL) all purpose cream
1 tsp instant coffee powder

COFFEE JELLY | How to Make Coffee Jelly Dessert | Ep. 71 | Mortar and Pastry

Coffee Jelly is a delicious after dinner dessert made with sweetened coffee flavored gelatin and a cold cream pour.  It's a light and refreshing dessert that's sure to satisfy any crowd!

Cups Strong Hot Brewed Coffee or Espresso

tbsp Gelatin (1/4 oz envelope)

Water

tbsp Sweetener (monkfruit erythritol blend, sugar

Gather all the ingredients.

Mix gelatin with water in a mixing small bowl.

Add sweetener and gelatin mix into hot coffee.

Pour coffee mixture into serving glass and refrigerator for 4 hours or until firm.

Top with half and half, heavy cream, and or whipped cream.

Japanese Coffee Jelly

water

½ stick Kanten Powder (*1)

tbsp Instant Coffee

tbsp sugar (*2)

whip cream (*3 optional)

Boil water and kanten powder

Pour water in a small pot over medium-high heat and sprinkle the kanten in.

dissolve the kanten powder

When it boils, turn the heat down to low and simmer for a further 1-2 minutes to ensure the kanten has dissolved.

add sugar and coffee to the kanten mixture

Add sugar and instant coffee and stir with a spoon or whisk to dissolve. Pour the mixture into your desired cup or mold.

chill to set

cut jelly into cubes

Once set, remove from the mold and cut into cubes or serve directly set in the cup.

serve

Pour fresh whip cream over the jelly to serve.
