Cranberry Chutney

apple cider vinegar, unfiltered

brown sugar

cloves

cinnamon

figs,

cranberries

jalapeno, seeded, minced (roughly 2 tablespoons)

apple, peeled,

In a heavy sauce pan set over medium-high heat, bring the apple cider vinegar and sugar to a boil

Reduce heat and simmer until sugar dissolves 2-3 minutes

Add cloves, cinnamon, figs, cranberries, jalapeno and apple

Bring back up to a boil then simmer for 15 minutes or until fruit is soft, stirring occasionally

**Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks

Citrus Cranberry Chutney

olive oil

shallot, (diced)

(zest

apple, (peeled, cored and diced)

Tablespoons course mustard

white wine vinegar

water

walnuts

Kosher salt, (to taste)

black pepper, (to taste)

Heat oil in a medium pan over medium heat.

Add shallot and sauté until softened stirring periodically, about 3 minutes.

Add cinnamon and cloves and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.

Add orange zest, diced orange supremes, apple, brown sugar, coarse mustard, vinegar and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Add cranberries and raise heat to medium high to bring to a boil.

Cook for 10 minutes stirring periodically until the berries burst and chutney has thickened.

Stir in walnuts and add salt and pepper to taste.

Cook for 1 more minute then remove from heat and cool completely. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Cranberry Apple Chutney

Cup sugar

shallot (* finely chopped)

Cup brown sugar, packed

apple cider vinegar

tart apples (* diced)

golden raisins

In a medium sauce pan, over medium heat, bring the water and granulated sugar to a boil.

Once boiling, add the cranberries, shallot, brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple cider vinegar.&nbsp;

Continue cooking over medium heat for about 5 minutes to allow the cranberries time to start popping.

Add the apples and golden raisins and lower the heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.

Chutney can be served warm or chilled.

Cranberries, apples, pears, oranges and lemons are cooked with cinnamon and clove to create a deliciously versatile chutney.  This chunky fruit sauce can be served with your holiday dinner, as part of your charcuterie board or over ice cream for dessert.

Cranberry Chutney Recipe with Fresh Fruits and Pecans

Water

oz Cranberries (Fresh)

Sugar

Orange

Lemon

Apple (Peeled and diced)

Pear

Cinnamon sticks

¼ tsp Cloves (ground)

cherries

Pecans (chopped)

Chambord

Combine water, cranberries and sugar in a medium pan and bring to a slow boil over medium heat.  Cook until the cranberries start to burst, stirring occasionally.

Add the orange juice and zest, lemon juice and zest, apples, pears, cinnamon sticks, cloves and dried cherries and stir to combine.  Lower the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes.

Remove from the heat and stir in the pecans and Chambord or Brandy.  Allow to cool to room temperature.  Remove the the cinnamon sticks before serving.  Can be served at room temperature or refrigerated for up to two weeks.
