Cranberry Salsa over Cream Cheese Recipe - This quick and easy appetizer recipe made with a delicious fresh cranberry salsa over cream cheese and then is served with crackers, fruit, or chips. Makes a great make-ahead recipe for the holidays!

Cranberry Salsa over Cream Cheese Recipe

cranberries

sugar

jalapeno pepper

onion

cilantro leaves

orange zest

orange juice

(8-ounce) package cream cheese (softened)

crackers (for serving)

Add cranberries and sugar to food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped, about 30 pulses. Stir in jalapeno, onion, cilantro, orange zest and orange juice. Cover and store in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to overnight.

To serve, arrange cream cheese on a serving tray, strain away juices from the cranberry salsa and spoon on top of the cream cheese. Serve with assorted crackers or fruit slices.

This sweet and savory 5-minute cranberry salsa is served over soft cream cheese for an irresistibly creamy treat that’s perfect for a holiday appetizer or easy Saturday night treat.

5-Minute Cranberry Salsa with Cream Cheese

oz cranberries (fresh, raw)

jalapeno

cilantro

onion (yellow or white rough chopped)

lime zest

lime juice

honey

salt

coriander powder

oz cream cheese (2 blocks, softened to room temperature)

Wash

Wash the fresh cranberries and remove any overripe or mushy berries.

Fill

Place the washed cranberries into your food processor.

Chop

Wash and and ruff chop cilantro. Chop onion and jalapenos. Remove jalapeno seeds if you want a milder salsa. Zest lime and then squeeze for fresh lime juice. Add to the food processor with the cranberries.

Add sugar, honey, salt, and coriander to the food processor.

Pulse

Pulse the ingredients for a few seconds to incorporate them. Continue pulsing until the cranberries are finely chopped, and the ingredients reach a consistent texture.

Refrigerate

Transfer the salsa to a container and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and enhances the taste.

Prepare

When ready to serve, place the room-temperature blocks of cream cheese on a serving dish.
