A super easy creamy pasta salad with sweet bell peppers, sun ripened tomatoes, red onion and crunchy fresh celery.  Serve it with all your favorite grilled meats or in the winter with my oven baked ribs.

Creamy Macaroni Salad

macaroni noodles

mayo

Dijon mustard

cider vinegar

sour cream

orange pepper chopped finely

grape tomatoes halved

red onion

celery

parsley

Salt & Pepper

Cook noodles according to instructions on box. Drain well.

In large bowl whisk together mayo, mustard, cider vinegar and sour cream. Add the cooked macaroni, peppers, tomatoes, red onion, celery and parsley. Stir gently to combine. Season with salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste.

I don't make my macaroni salad like this. I use elbow macaroni, lots of hard boiled egg (yolks only) I don't like the whites. Green onion, celery, large chunk sweet pickle relish, tuna, mayonnaise, a touch of mustard, a touch of vinegar, a touch of sugar. Have to have the egg yolks they give great taste.

Southern Style Macaroni Salad Recipe

oz uncooked elbow macaroni noodles

mayonnaise

yellow mustard

apple cider vinegar

honey

Tablespoons dill relish

onion

½ cup of chopped red bell pepper

cheddar cheese

apple

bacon

eggs (chopped (optional))

Salt and pepper

Prepare elbow macaroni as indicated on the box, drain, and set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, honey, and dill relish. Stir until fully combined.

Add onion, red bell pepper, celery, cheddar cheese, apple, bacon, elbow macaroni, and egg (if using) to the large bowl. Stir until fully combined and all the macaroni noodles are coated with the mayonnaise dressing.

Salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy.

Homemade Macaroni Salad with Shrimp

When straining rinse with cold water until cool and refrigerate until ready to use.

In a large bowl stir the macaroni with the remaining ingredients.

Dairy Free Macaroni Salad

This fast and easy pasta salad recipe with tender elbow macaroni, bell peppers, carrots, celery, ham, and a super creamy dressing is a family FAVORITE! You can make it up to a day in advance if desired.

Classic Macaroni Salad

dry elbow macaroni

red onion (diced finely)

carrots (finely chopped)

green onion

dill

parsley (optional for garnishing)

real mayonnaise*

vinegar

granulated sugar or light brown sugar (packed)

garlic powder

salt (plus more to taste if desired)

Cook the pasta according to package directions in salted water to al dente. When finished, drain, and rinse under cold water. While the pasta is boiling, mix up the dressing.

Dressing - To a large bowl, add all the dressing ingredients, whisk to combine; set aside.

Pasta Salad - Place drained and rinsed pasta in a large mixing bowl, add all the other pasta salad ingredients, pour the dressing over it, and toss very well to combine.

Taste and make any necessary flavor adjustments such as additional salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.

Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid, and place in the fridge to chill for at least 1 to 2 hours before serving. Tips - I don&#x27;t recommend reducing the quantity of mayo or sour cream in the recipe because even though the pasta salad will look pretty saucy and &#x27;juicy&#x27;, lots of it will absorb into the pasta as it sits in the fridge and chills.

Before serving, stir the pasta salad well, and if desired garnish with dill and/or parsley, to taste. Pasta salad can be made up to 24 hours in advance. It will keep airtight in the fridge for up to 4 to 5 days. I don&#x27;t recommend freezing this recipe.

Add some tomatoes sliced, chopped onion, Bell peppers, and hard-boiled eggs to the bowl with the cooked macaroni.

Pour the dressing over the macaroni mixture and gently toss everything together until it's evenly coated.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld well.

Just before serving, give the salad a good stir and taste it to see if you need to adjust the seasoning. Enjoy your chilled macaroni salad.
