What's your favorite way to eat Brussels sprouts?

First time I've ever cooked Brussels sprouts, only the second time I've ever eaten them, and it was delicious! I'm picky about veggies but enjoy trying new things. I work in a restaurant and the owner's wife (and head chef!) swears by the rule of "keeping it simple". Olive oil, salt and pepper are about the only seasonings she uses (along with fresh garlic) for most meats and veggies. She told me I can add a sprinkle of parmesan at the end of roasting to give the Brussels sprouts a little extra flavor- and it was amazing! (Gave it about 5 more minutes to cook after adding cheese). Seriously, I could eat them this way as a snack. Wish I had made a bigger pan.

Roasted brussel sprouts are wonderful I leave off the salt for health purposes add garlic and toss with fetta or Parmasean cheese. I usually prefer fetta and ocassionly add a little butter.

First time ever cooking brussel sprouts and they became an instant favorite. Just make sure they're well coated with the olive oil so they wont burn quickly. I also added garlic salt to mine.

Horrible! These were not roasted, they were charred. I had to toss the whole tray.. 😫I would recommend cutting the time down and keeping an eye on them.

This recipe is close to being awesome, which is still excellent and worth trying as is before you modify it for your own tastes. For instance, I have two variations on this recipe. The first is to add some additional seasonings, such as paprika or cayenne, and the second is to top after removing from the oven with a little pecorino Romano cheese and sprinkle with golden raisins. If you like really basic flavors, the recipe might be perfect for you. I would recommend salting with sea salt after cooking, as well as salt and pepper during prep, both unless you prefer super plain flavors.

Bacon Balsamic Brussels Sprouts

These Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts are garlicky, cheesy and so easy to make! Cooking brussel sprouts in the air fryer is going to be your new favorite way to make a quick side dish.

Crispy Parmesan Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts

garlic powder

In a large bowl combine prepared Brussel sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir until thoroughly incorporated.

Transfer Brussel sprouts to the air fryer’s basket and cook for 6 minutes at 400˚F.

When time is up, open the air fryer, stir around the Brussel sprouts.

Sprinkle sprouts with parmesan cheese and pork panko crumbs.

Arrange in one layer and continue to air fry for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until crisp tender.

Remove sprouts from air fryer.

Test for seasonings and adjust accordingly.

Serve.

extra virgin olive oil (plus additional as needed)

Place a rack in the upper third of your oven and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Generously coat a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray (if doubling the recipe, place one rack in the upper third and one rack in the lower third and grease 2 baking sheets).

Trim off a little of the stem end of the Brussels sprouts, then with a mandolin or a sharp knife, carefully cut them into thin slices length-wise from tip to stem. If a few leaves come loose, discard any brown ones, but keep the larger green ones for roasting. They’ll be extra crispy and delicious. Place the sliced Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl as you go.

To the bowl, add the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to evenly coat the sprouts, adding a little oil if needed. You want them to be nicely coated so that they do not burn.

Spread the Brussels sprouts into a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven and with a spatula, flip the sprouts and move them around to promote even browning. Spread them back into a single layer and sprinkle them with Parmesan (if using), then return to the oven and continue baking until they are browned and crisp, about 5 additional minutes (if using two pans, switch their positions on the upper and lower racks). Watch the chips very carefully towards the end to ensure they do not burn. Devour immediately, right from the pan, or transfer to a plate and then go for it!

Here's the secret to the best crispy Brussels sprouts! They're roasted until blackened and caramelized, then tossed with a tangy sweet balsamic sauce.

Perfectly Crispy Brussels Sprouts

honey (or maple syrup)

Spicy variation: 1 teaspoon hot sauce, plus more to drizzle

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. (To get them perfectly crispy, make sure this is the only pan in the oven and you&#8217;re not roasting anything else at the same time.)

Slice off any hard ends of the Brussels sprouts, as needed. Slice them in half lengthwise and place them in a large bowl.

Mix the sprouts with the olive oil, kosher salt, and lots of fresh ground black pepper.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper*, then pour the spouts onto the sheet. Turn them all cut side down.

Roast for 25 minutes until very browned and tender (don&#8217;t stir!). For the crispiest sprouts you can eat them as is, or go to Step 6.

While the sprouts are roasting, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and honey or maple syrup (and 1 teaspoon hot sauce, if using). When the sprouts are done, pour over the mixture and toss to combine. For the spicy variation, drizzle with additional hot sauce to taste. Serve immediately.

I just made this recipe and they were amazing!  I added sauteed red onion and some pancetta (not vegan) and added that when the Brussels came out of the oven.  The whole family loved them. Follow their instructions - they really are crispy yummy Brussels.

7 Tips For Crispy Roasted Brussel Sprouts!

Trim the Brussels Sprouts. Preheat an oven to 425F. Trim Brussels sprouts by using a sharp knife to cut off the hard, woody end on the bottom. Next, slice in half from top to bottom, leaving the core in tact to hold Brussels sprout together. Remove first outer layer of leaves, including any that are discolored. Discard. (See note below!)

Roast until tender. Place Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl, then toss with 3 Tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp Kosher salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper. Place Brussels sprouts cut side down on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast until the tops and bottoms of the sprouts are caramelized and brown, but the centers are creamy, about 20-25 minutes. Enjoy immediately!
