I made this in the air fryer, it turned out great. I did not need 16 minutes to cook them, more like 10 total in order to cook them.  We used Bolthouse Blue Cheese dressing as our dipping sauce as it's low in calories and fat.

I used Walden Farms thousand island.. has nothing but sodium in it.. Yummy

Snack Smarter With Brussels Sprout Chips

Here's the secret to the best crispy Brussels sprouts! They're roasted until blackened and caramelized, then tossed with a tangy sweet balsamic sauce.

Brussels sprouts

salt

balsamic vinegar

honey (or maple syrup)

Spicy variation: 1 teaspoon hot sauce, plus more to drizzle

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. (To get them perfectly crispy, make sure this is the only pan in the oven and you&#8217;re not roasting anything else at the same time.)

Slice off any hard ends of the Brussels sprouts, as needed. Slice them in half lengthwise and place them in a large bowl.

Mix the sprouts with the olive oil, kosher salt, and lots of fresh ground black pepper.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper*, then pour the spouts onto the sheet. Turn them all cut side down.

Roast for 25 minutes until very browned and tender (don&#8217;t stir!). For the crispiest sprouts you can eat them as is, or go to Step 6.

While the sprouts are roasting, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and honey or maple syrup (and 1 teaspoon hot sauce, if using). When the sprouts are done, pour over the mixture and toss to combine. For the spicy variation, drizzle with additional hot sauce to taste. Serve immediately.

I just made this recipe and they were amazing!  I added sauteed red onion and some pancetta (not vegan) and added that when the Brussels came out of the oven.  The whole family loved them. Follow their instructions - they really are crispy yummy Brussels.

Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts (2 to 3 cups)

olive oil (15 mL)

salt and pepper

Prep: Remove the tough ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any damaged outer leaves. Rinse under cold water and pat dry. If your sprouts are on the large side, cut them in half. Toss in oil, salt, and pepper.

Cook: Arrange Brussels sprouts in a single layer in your air fryer, working in batches if they don&#x27;t all fit. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 12 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through cooking to evenly brown them. They are done when lightly browned and crispy on the edges.

Serve: Serve sprouts warm, optionally topped with balsamic reduction and parmesan.

Crispy, faux-fried garlic Brussels sprouts with a creamy, vegan Sriracha aioli. Less than 30 minutes required and entirely vegan and gluten-free! The perfect healthier appetizer or side dish.

Crispy Garlic Brussels Sprouts with Sriracha Aioli

Brussels sprouts ((rinsed and thoroughly dried))

tsp sea salt

garlic ((minced))

hummus*

Tbsp sriracha ((or sub hot sauce))

lemon ((juiced))

tsp smoked paprika ((or regular))

maple syrup ((or sweetener of choice))

apple cider vinegar

Vegan Parmesan Cheese

herbs ((cilantro, parsley, scallions))

Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat and cut any larger Brussels sprouts in half.

Add to a mixing bowl and toss with a generous amount of oil and season generously with salt.

Once the pan is hot, add a bit more oil to the pan and only as many sprouts as will fit without crowding the pan.

Cover and cook for 1 minute, then use tongs to toss and turn over halved sprouts to cook both sides evenly. Cover once more and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Shake the pan once more to toss the sprouts and then cover for another 30 seconds.

Remove from heat and immediately add back to the (empty) mixing bowl. Top with minced garlic and season again with salt. Continue cooking other batches until all of the sprouts are sautéed.

To serve, sprinkle with vegan parmesan cheese, herbs of choice, and serve with Sriracha aioli or preferred dipping sauce. These would also be delicious with a honey mustard sauce like this one (just leave it thicker for dipping).

Leftovers keep well in the fridge for a few days, though best when fresh. Reheat in a skillet or (gasp) the microwave.

Heat air fryer to 380 degrees.

In a bowl, toss together brussels sprouts, oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt.

Place brussels sprouts in air fryer basket. Fry for 18 minutes, shaking basket or stirring the brussels sprouts halfway through.

Season with additional salt if needed, and enjoy.

Garlic salt is a seasoned salt used as food seasoning made of a mixture of dried ground garlic and table salt with an anti-caking agent (e.g. calcium silicate). In its most basic form it is made by combining 3 parts salt and 1 part garlic powder by volume, or 6 parts salt and 1 part...

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F, to act as a warmer.

Set a large deep cast iron skillet (or sauce pot) over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 inches of oil to the pan. Place a cooking thermometer on the side of the pan.

As the oil warm, line a large plate or rimmed baking sheet with paper towels. Trim the stem tip of each sprout and cut them in half. Leave the cut-stem attached so the Brussels leaves hold together.

Wait until the oil reaches 375-400 degrees F. Working in 4 small batches, use a spider skimmer with a long handle to gently lower one-quarter of the Brussels Sprouts into the hot oil.

Quickly step back… They might pop in the first 10 seconds, as the internal moisture hits the oil. Then as the popping slows, gently stir the Brussels and let them fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

Use the skimmer to move the Brussels Sprouts to the holding plate. Sprinkle generously with garlic salt. Then repeat three more times. Move the plate/try to the warm over to keep crispy until ready to serve.

Serve warm with a drizzle of thick balsamic glaze over the top!

Add trimmed brussel sprouts to a medium bowl, with olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss to coat.

Add the Brussels sprouts to the air fryer and shake so they are in a single layer. Air fry for 6 minutes.

Remove basket, shake the brussels sprouts to move them around and then shake them back into a single layer.

Crispy Smashed Brussels Sprouts

lbs small Brussels sprouts (cleaned and trimmed*, 900 g)

Tbsp olive oil (30 mL)

nutritional yeast (15 g)

½ tsp ground black pepper

Boil: Bring a large pot of water (½ full) to a boil. Add 2 lbs small Brussels sprouts and cook until fork-tender, about 10 minutes.When finished, run under cold water to stop the cooking process. Drain well then pat as dry as possible.Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).

Stir: Stir cooked sprouts together with 2 Tbsp olive oil, ¼ cup nutritional yeast, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp ground black pepper.

Smash: Transfer sprouts to a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread them out. Use a cup to gently but firmly smash each Brussels sprout to flatten.

Bake: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. If not crispy and browned at 30 minutes, switch your oven setting to &quot;broil&quot; and cook for 1 or 2 minutes, watching very closely the whole time, until they&#39;re golden brown.
