This easy and delicious crockpot Mississippi Chicken recipe is super flavorful and so easy to make. Just put in all the ingredients, cover and in a few short hours this delicious meal will be done.

Mississippi Chicken

chicken breasts, (boneless, skinless)

onion, (diced)

au jus gravy mix

ranch dressing mix

8-10 pepperoncini peppers

¾ cup juice from pepperoncini

butter, (sliced)

Spray a large crock pot with a non-stick cooking spray or use a crock pot liner.

Place onion first and then add the chicken breasts.

Sprinkle both packets over the chicken.

Add pepperoncini, place pads of butter randomly on top, and then pour the juice over the chicken.

Cover and cook on high for 4-5 or low for 6-7 hours.

chicken breast

TBSP of a Au Jus Gravy Packet

TBSP of a Ranch Seasoning Packet

Black pepper

TBSP minced garlic

Pepperoncinis

Butter (thinly sliced)

Cheese

Sub rolls/Jimmy John’s Bread

Lightly season chicken breasts with some black pepper and add them to a crockpot.

Season chicken with 1 TBSP each of an Au Jus Gravy packet and a Ranch seasoning packet.

Add minced garlic and some thinly sliced butter to the tops of the chicken.

Add pepperoncinis and just a little bit of the juice from the jar of pepperoncinis.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Shred chicken and add chicken and cheese to a toasted sub roll.

Put back in the oven for just a couple minutes to melt the cheese.

Scatter the butter pieces and pepperoncini peppers on top. Pour in the pepperoncini juice.

If your Crockpot tends to run dry, add 1/4 cup of water.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.

When finished, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crockpot, mixing it with the sauce.

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta. Enjoy!
