Curry Chicken is a popular staple Indian food with masala - a unique spice mixture

Jamaican Curry Chicken

Chicken (5 thighs 5 drums)

tbsp curry powder (Betapac)

tbs epis (green seasoning

olive oil

tsp sea salt

garlic powder

ginger powder

allspice

tsp black pepper

paprika

bay leaves

garlic

potatoes

carrots

spring onion

scotch bonnet pepper

onion

bell pepper

springs fresh thyme

water

Cut and clean the chicken.

Add about 1½ tablespoon of curry powder (I used betapac), add a tablespoon of allspice, and some ginger.

Add the garlic, pepper, paprika, green seasoning or Epis (this is optional but it will add more flavor to your dish) and salt.

Then add the vegetables - bell pepper, onions, thyme, three cloves of garlic and green onion.

Mix everything together thoroughly, and cover it to marinate for 20 minutes. If you have more time, I recommend you to marinate it overnight to let all the flavors sip in the chicken.

While you wait for the chicken to marinate, cut up some carrots and potatoes.

Heat your pot to medium-high and add some oil. Once your pot is hot, start cooking the chicken until it becomes nice and golden brown. Turn it over so it cooks evenly on both sides.

Add enough water to cover the chicken then add in the peppers. Cover the pot and let it cook for 20 minutes.

After cooking it for 20 minutes, stir it and then add in the potatoes, carrots and some bay leaves. Taste it and make sure you have enough salt, add according to your preference.

Cover it for another 20 minutes and you&#x27;re done!

Jamaican Curry Chicken - How to make Curry Chicken | Let's Eat Cuisine

This curry chicken from the Caribbean island country of Trinidad hits close to home. Curry powder and fresh herbs and aromatics in their green seasoning form the base of this super simple chicken affair.

Trinidadian Curry Chicken

Mix the chicken with all the marination ingredients...

Mix the chicken with all the marination ingredients and marinate for a couple of hours to overnight.

Heat oil over medium high heat and stir...

Heat oil over medium high heat and stir in onion, garlic and jalapeño and sauté till onion gets soft and starts getting golden brown. Add in mixed spices and stir continuously for a couple of minutes. Add in 1/4 cup of water and make a slurry and cook the curry till it thickens up.

Add in marinated chicken. Mix well and cook...

Add in marinated chicken. Mix well and cook covered for ten minutes, the chicken will start to cook in its own juices. Stir and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes. Add two and half cups water along with potatoes, whole uncut habanero, salt, green seasoning and cook covered till the chicken is fall off the bone tender. Depending on how much sauce you want, feel free to add more water.

These Baked Curry Chicken Drumsticks only require a few spices to really make them stand out. They are juicy, tender, and full of flavor.&nbsp;

Baked Curry Chicken

plain yogurt

ginger

cinnamon

cayenne pepper

sea salt

garlic (chopped)

chicken drumsticks (or thighs)

chicken broth

Add yogurt, olive oil, cumin powder, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and garlic to a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.

Add the chicken and mix to coat it well.

Brown chicken drumsticks in the pan for about 6-8 minutes in an oven safe skillet (such as cast iron pan). Deglaze the bottom of the pan with chicken broth.

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Adapted from our milk chicken thighs, but this time with an Asian flair. Coconut milk, curry, cumin and bright lime zest really adds a wonderful curry take on our popular chicken recipe. Add what ever veggies you want before you bake it in the oven. Potatoes, carrots, eggplant, the veggie possibilities are endless!

Curry Coconut Milk Roast Chicken Thighs

chicken thighs ((about 6 thighs), bone-in and skin-on)

kosher salt

fish sauce ((or soy sauce),

Rice

Preheat oven to 400° F (205°C).

Wash and pat dry chicken thighs. Season both sides of chicken thighs with salt and pepper.

In a large oven-proof skillet, melt butter or add oil on medium high heat. Place chicken skin-side down first and sear each side of the chicken until crispy brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.

In the same skillet over medium heat add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add bay leaf, curry powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, fish sauce, and lime zest. Then add coconut milk and chicken broth. Stir until combined. Bring liquid to a low simmer.

Place chicken back into the skillet and transfer to oven. Roast the chicken for about 25-30 minutes or until fully cooked. Internal temperature of chicken should be about 175° F (80°C).

After chicken is cooked, top with minced cilantro and serve over rice or with slices of crusty bread.

This leftover chicken curry recipe is a great way to use up leftover roast chicken.

Remove from heat and add in one spoonful...

Remove from heat and add in one spoonful of yoghurt. Make sure it is fully mixed in before you add the second spoonful. Gently warm through and serve.

Chicken Curry

vegetable oil

curry leaves ((stem removed))

1½ lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs

coconut milk ((120 milliliters))

Salt (to taste)

shallots

garlic ((peeled and halved))

fennel

tsp chili powder ((optional))

Blend shallots (or onion), garlic, and ginger with ¼ cup (60ml) water. Transfer to a bowl.

Add curry powder, ground cumin, fennel, and chili. Mix to form a paste.

Heat vegetable oil in a medium sized pot. Stir fry cinnamon stick, star anise, curry leaves, and spice paste over medium heat until fragrant, about 4 to 5 minutes.

Add chicken and stir until chicken turns opaque, about 3 minutes.

Pour in ½ cup (120ml) water. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add cubed potatoes, coconut milk, and salt. Bring it back up to a boil, reduce heat, and continue to cook for another 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Turn off stove and allow curry to sit for 10 minutes before serving.

How to make Chicken Curry | Roti n Rice

A warm and delicious bowl of tender chicken and potatoes stewed in a rich and creamy yellow coconut curry broth. Enjoy this three ways: ladled over steamed rice, rice noodles, or serve on the side with a toasty baguette to soak up that bold and amazing flavor.

Vietnamese Chicken Curry (Ca Ri Ga)

lbs chicken (chicken thighs preferred; cut into bite-sized pieces)

chicken bouillon powder

sugar

madras yellow curry powder

shallot (mince)

lime/lemon/bay leaves (optional)

carrot (10 oz, peel,

potato (10 oz, peel,

fish sauce

Cilantro

Lemon/limes leaves

Instant Pot Chicken Curry

chicken breasts

coconut cream (preferred, or coconut milk)

tomato sauce (optional)

How to make this delicious chicken curry. This recipe is easy to make, tastes amazing, and is actually cheap.

Sri Lankan Coconut Chicken Curry

Brown (Yellow) Onion, Sliced

Garlic Cloves, Minced

(0.8 ounces)

(1.6lbs) - Chicken Thigh

Smoked Paprika

Cardamom Pods

¾ Cup (180 milliliters) - Chicken Stock or Vegetable Stock

(0.4 ounces) - Desiccated Coconut (Optional)

Cups (500 milliliters) - Coconut Milk

Seasoning To Taste

Roasted & Chopped Cashew Nuts

Coriander (Cilantro)

Cup (200 grams)

Kaffir Lime Leaves (Optional)

Sea Salt Flakes To Taste

Marinate Chicken

In a large bowl, add the chicken thigh, sliced onion, minced garlic &amp; ginger &amp; 1 tsp (10ml) of coconut oil, mix to combine. Cover &amp; marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes up to 24 hours.

Sear Chicken

Heat 2 Tbsp (50g) of coconut oil in a large high rimmed pan or pot over medium-high heat. Add in the chicken thigh, leaving the remaining ingredients in the marinating bowl &amp; sear for 3 minutes on both sides until golden. Remove &amp; place on a plate to rest for the time being. Do it in batches if need be.

Saute Onion &amp; Spices

In the same pan or pot, add the remaining marinating ingredients as well as the ground cumin, ground coriander, ground cloves, smoked paprika, turmeric &amp; cardamom pods. Saute for 3 minutes, mixing regularly.

Curry Sauce

Add in the coconut milk, chicken stock &amp; desiccated coconut (optional), mix to combine &amp; bring to a simmer. Once simmering, add in the seared chicken along with any resting juices &amp; mix to combine. Reduce heat to low &amp; simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish &amp; Serve

After 25 minutes, check the curry for seasoning, adjusting if necessary, mix to combine &amp; remove from the heat. Serve the curry with rice (below) &amp; garnish with cashew nuts, spring onion (scallion), coriander (cilantro) &amp; chilli. Dig in.

Cook Rice

Place a large saucepan over high heat. Add in the rice, cold water, kaffir lime leaves &amp; sea salt flakes &amp; mix to combine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover &amp; cook for 14 minutes undisturbed. After 14 minutes, turn off the heat but leave the lid on for 4 more minutes then remove. Remove &amp; discard the kaffir lime leaves, fluff the rice with a fork &amp; serve with the curry.
