These vegan TVP meatballs are easy to make and taste absolutely delicious! Perfect for spaghetti, subs, and more!

Vegan TVP Meatballs

textured vegetable protein (TVP)

vegetable broth

sweet onion, (diced)

tsp Italian Seasoning

tsp smoked paprika

soy sauce ((or alternative))

yeast

tbsp panko bread crumbs ((use GF crumbs if needed))

oat flour ((other flours work))

salt and black pepper, (to taste)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

In a small sauce pan bring vegetable stock to a boil. Add TVP to a bowl and pour boiling stock over the TVP.  Cover and let sit for 5 - 10 minutes until completely soaked up.

Place all the remaining ingredients into the bowl with the TVP. Using a handheld mixer, mix evenly until it can stick together. Add extra breadcrumbs 1 tbsp at a time if needed to help bring together if needed.

Using a 1 tbsp scoop, scoop out mixture and shape into a ball.

Bake for about 12 - 15 mins until browned.Alternatively - cook at 400 degrees F in an air fryer for 10-15 minutes. Or add a few tablespoons of oil to a skillet over medium, then fry for 5-8 minutes, or until all sides are browned.

Easy Homemade Vegan Spaghetti and Meatballs | You're Going to Want to Try This!

This easy gluten free and dairy free Swedish Meatballs recipe is at least as tasty as the original! Smooth buttery gravy with flavorful little meatballs packed with extra veggies make for a healthier recipe. They will remind you of days shopping at Ikea and are the ultimate winter comfort food. We make them as an easy weeknight dinner and on weekends.

Dairy Free Swedish Meatballs

mushrooms

¼ medium yellow onion, finely chopped

cashew milk

eggs

potato flakes

paprika

salt

coconut butter

tapioca starch

salt and pepper

flat leaf parsley

Preheat the oven to 425 F. Mix all meatball ingredients together. Roll into little balls (about the size of a ping-pong ball) and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until firm when pressed. *Note: you can also pan fry the meatballs.

Melt coconut butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Add spices and tapioca starch, mixing well with a spatula or wooden spoon. Add broth in ~1/4 cup increments and stir or whisk well with each addition to make smooth. Add cashew milk in the same fashion. Add extra broth as needed to get your desired gravy consistency.

Place meatballs in gravy. Push them around gently to get nice and saucy.

I loved these! Used gluten free breadcrumbs in place of Instant mashed potatoes and it worked great.

Tried this recipe last week.  Going to the store to pick up the ingredients so I can bring them to a pot luck this weekend!  My husband asked me to make sure there were some for leftovers!
