This chili is AH-MAZING!!! I will definitely be making it again. I did pinto beans and garbanzo beans (I am a huge believer that all beans belong in chili, lol) instead of the kidney beans (although I would have used them if I had of had them when I made this), but other than that I did it by the recipe and loved every bite! 10/10.

So I'm not a huge chili person - to be frank I've never cooked it before. So this was a first for me and my boyfriend. And the end result - WE LOVED IT. We did tweak it a little because we both personally hate beans and consulted the reviews below to drain the meat before adding the tomato paste but it's a hit. I've never in my life made such a great tasty and heart meal before. None of the delish recipes are ever bad! thanks for sharing this and for first timers - we are going back tonight to make a second batch!! :)

I just tried it. I think it is wonderful. I was really light on the salt when I added it. Not too spicy. It gives you more room for the others eating it to add more of salt pepper or chili powder to taste. I want to add green bell pepper next time I make it.  And there will be a next time.  Maybe I will double it so some came go in the freezer. Chili & spaghetti always freezes great

Great recipe!  I made a few changes, though.   I'm Hungarian and we love paprika so I tripled the amount.  I also used more garlic.  I served it with garlic toast and my family loved it!

Loved how easy this was to make but it just didn’t have enough going on with it. I honestly thought it was very bland and almost had a consistency of hot dog chili. I would not make this again!!

The recipe was bland. The next time I try it, I will increase the seasoning. I changed the order of instructions because ground meat should always be cooked before adding a liquid or paste. I also had to add a small can of tomato sauce. If not, I would have had dry pot of beans a meat.  Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Beef Chili That's Perfect On Crisp Fall Days

Food processor prep: Pulse the bacon through the food processor until it looks like a chunky paste. Remove bacon and do the same with the onion, garlic, and jalapeño.

Cook bacon and veggies: Add the bacon to a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Once the bacon starts heating up, add the onion, garlic, and jalapeño mix so it all cooks together.

Build the soup: Add spices, broth, and tomatoes. Bring to a simmer.

Cook chicken: Add chicken. Bring to a low simmer. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. Remove, cool, and shred.

Tie it all up: Stir in the shredded chicken, beans, and cream cheese.  The chili will be THICK, especially as it cools. It&#8217;s almost like a dip because, yes, we are monsters. Thin it out with water as you like!

Made this tonight and LOVED it!  I'm trying to eat mostly plant-based food, so I left out the chicken and added cooked vegan "chicken" at the end.   I also added a few drops of liquid smoke to make up for the absence of the bacon, though I sampled the chili before adding the liquid smoke and it was fantastic even without it!  This will definitely be in my dinner rotation this winter!

This was tasty. I made admendments for my guy who doesn't like cumin, so I added some minced cilantro stems to the veggies.  
The processing of the bacon and veggies into a paste-like consistency is new to me and will be added to my cooking repertoire.  What a brilliant way to make a base of flavor.

This was absolutely fantastic! I only had one can of tomatoes so I threw in a jar of salsa as well and it came out so well. Husband and stepson went back for thirds! Definitely making again.

I made this last night - and we polished off the leftovers tonight!

I used ground turkey breast instead of chicken (I browned it in a separate pan and then added it to the soup). Otherwise, I followed the recipe (two jalapeños). 

This was delicious. The boyfriend said it was "one of the best things I had ever made" - so high praise because I think I've made him lots of good meals. I highly recommend the recipe. I would warn that it takes more prep time, but it's still very doable on a weeknight. I will be making this again soon.

We had this tonight and it was delicious! We are vegetarian so I used extra beans, including pinto beans made fresh in the instant pot. Instead of bacon I threw in several chopped chipotles in adobo sauce!

Sweet Potato Turkey Chili - just five basic ingredients for this delicious real food chili recipe! Sweet potatoes, black beans, turkey, onions, and spices.

Rockin' 5 Ingredient Sweet Potato Turkey Chili

Heat the oil over medium high heat in a heavy, deep pot. Add the onion, turkey, 1 tablespoon chili powder, and 1 tablespoon taco seasoning. Add water as needed to keep the turkey moist and moving around in the pan. When the turkey is browned and crumbled and the onions are soft, remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the sweet potatoes to the same pot with the remaining spices and stir to combine. When the sweet potatoes have browned just slightly, add the garlic, water, and broth. Bring to a low boil and simmer for 10 minutes or so, until the sweet potatoes are very soft. Using an immersion blender, puree the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency (you can also transfer to a regular blender and puree that way).

Add the browned turkey, black beans, and cayenne &#8211; stir to combine.

This CrockPot turkey chili recipe is just for the kiddos (or picky family members)! A kid-friendly chili with ground turkey, corn, bell pepper, tomatoes and spices. Serve it with some chips on the side for the perfect back to school lunch.

CrockPot Kid-Friendly Turkey Chili

99% turkey

red bell pepper (diced fine)

garlic (minced)

corn kernels

Rotel Mild Tomatoes

oz tomato sauce

salt

bay leaf

avocado

reduced sour cream

reduced fat shredded cheese

tortilla chips

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the turkey, season with salt and cook, breaking up with a spoon until turkey browns and is no longer pink; place into the slow cooker.

Add the oil to the skillet and sauté the onion, garlic and bell pepper over medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes.

Spoon over turkey into the slow cooker and stir in corn and tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, paprika and salt, mix until well blended.

Pour chicken broth into the crock pot and add the bay leaf.

Cover and cook on HIGH 4 hours or LOW 6 hours.

Serve with desired toppings.

Vegetarian Quinoa Chili With Black Beans

red bell pepper,

celery ((1-2 stalks))

carrot ((2 medium carrots))

jalapeño pepper ((optional))

dried Mexican oregano

black pepper ((or to taste))

15 oz. each) black beans,

(28 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained ((low/no sodium preferred))

vegetable broth ((low sodium or unsalted))

quinoa (1 cup dry)

toppings: Greek yogurt, sour cream, cilantro, green onions, shredded cheese, avocado, tortilla chips

Saute Vegetables

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper, onion, celery, carrot, and jalapeño pepper. Cook until softened, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

Add Spices

Add the chili powder and cumin; stir and cook for another minute or so.

Add other Ingredients

Add oregano, salt, pepper, beans, tomatoes, and broth. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.

Add Quinoa

Add cooked quinoa, and cook for 15 minutes more.  Add more broth as necessary for desired consistency. Chili can simmer for up to an hour, if you like.

My Best Chili Recipe is a thick ground beef and kidney bean chili with a perfect blend of spices, a touch of smokey heat and a little bit of brown sugar to mellow everything out.  Serve over hot dogs, crisp steak fries or just piled high with your favorite chili fixins.

(14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes (do not drain)

kidney beans

(7 ounce) can diced green chiles drained

chipotle pepper

adobo sauce chipotle peppers

salt and pepper

In a dutch oven or large stock pot brown the ground beef over medium heat.  About halfway through the browning process add the onion. Drain any excess grease.  Reduce heat to low and add garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika and onion powder.  Cook for 1 minute; stirring constantly.

Stir in the brown sugar, beef broth, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, green chiles, chopped chipotle pepper and adobo sauce.

Simmer for 45-60 minutes; stirring frequently.  Salt and pepper to taste.

Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, brown sugar, bay leaves, garlic and tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the crushed tomatoes, chicken stock and beans and stir to combine. Press MANUAL or High Pressure on the instant pot and cook for 15 minutes. Allow the chili to natural release for 10 minutes.
