This delicious chocolate mousse recipe contains no eggs and is such a quick recipe for Summer. A chocolate lover&#039;s dream comes together in these small pots of happiness, filled with chocolate and whipped cream on top. 

How To Make Eggless Chocolate Mousse

dark chocolate (I used Lindt 70% cocoa)

heavy whipping cream

chocolate powder

tbsp. powder/icing sugar

corn starch

whipping cream

Chop the chocolate roughly if you are using a bar of chocolate.

Add the chocolate and 1/2 cup of cream to a small pot.

On a low heat, melt everything together while stirring, this should take 5-7 minutes. Once everything is melted, remove form the stove and keep stirring. If the chocolate seizes a bit, that's okay.

Now in a stand mixer or hand held electric whisk, whisk the rest of the cream until it reaches soft peaks.

Then add in the powdered sugar and cornstarch (sieved) and whisk on medium until you reach stiff peaks.

Add in the chocolate (it should be slightly cooled) in two stages.

Fold it in using a spatula each time, if there are white streaks, that's fine.

Place in your glasses and refrigerate for up to two hours to allow it to set.

When you are ready to serve, top with whipped cream and grated chocolate.

This easy chocolate mousse needs only one main ingredients and is almost impossible to mess up. It doesn&#39;t need dairy or eggs and is ready to eat in just a few minutes.

1 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

oz (255 g) dark chocolate (minimum 65% cocoa)

(177 ml/6 oz) water

Prepare 2 mixing bowls: one large and one medium bowl. The medium bowl needs to be able to nest inside the large bowl. Add ice to the bottom of the larger bowl and then put the medium bowl inside. There should be enough ice to cool the bottom and sides of the medium bowl.

Add chocolate and water into a medium saucepan and bring to medium heat. As the water heats up, whisk until you have a uniform melted chocolate mixture. This should only take a minute or less once the water is hot. After the chocolate is melted and uniform, remove the saucepan from the stove.

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the medium bowl. Make sure to use a spatula to scrape all the chocolate from the saucepan into the bowl. Working quickly, whisk vigorously as the chocolate begins to cool down, until the mixture thickens to a pudding consistency. You can either use a hand whisk or a hand mixer using the whisk attachment on the lowest speed. It will take about 5 minutes or slightly longer to reach the right texture. The mixture is going to thicken and stiffen even more once you stop mixing so you want the mixture to be just a little less stiff than mousse consistency since it will thicken more once you stop mixing. If your mixture can hold soft peaks, you&#39;ve likely overmixed it. See notes on how to fix your mousse if this happens.

Stop mixing once mixture reaches pudding consistency. Scoop mousse into small dessert bowls or into a piping bag and pipe into bowls. The mousse will set within a few minutes after you stop whipping it. If desired, top with fresh whipped cream and shaved chocolate curls.

Must've obermixed mine because it got stiff after sitting in the fridge for a few hours. Still yummy!

Three Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

good-quality dark chocolate, chopped

(100 grams) mini marshmallows

whipped cream

chocolate shavings

Heat the chocolate, 1 cup of the cream, and the marshmallows in a dry, heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until completely melted (about 10 minutes).

Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature (about 1 hour).

Beat remaining cream to soft peaks. Gently fold 1/3 of the softly whipped cream at a time into chocolate mixture.

Spoon the mousse into 6 dessert glasses or bowls. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.

Wow!  This turned out wonderful!  I was hesitant to try it bc it substituted ègg with marshmallows.   It sounded too good to be true but I tried it.  It was so simple and delicious!  I didn't notice that it was eggless!  The texture and deep chocolate taste was a winner!  Will definitely use over and over!!  No more tempering eggs!
