1. Fill a small pot with water, add salt and place over high heat.2. After 5 minutes, or once water comes to a boil, reduce to medium heat, and stir in oatmeal for 1 minute.3. Add your milk, butter, sugar, and cinnamon, then stir in well. 4. Let oatmeal cook for 15 minutes. (Stir periodically)

Mexican Oatmeal Recipe (Creamy Avena)

80 g piloncillo (0.15)

cinnamon

plant milk (1.28)

vanilla (0.42)

To a large pot, add the water, piloncillo, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes to dissolve the piloncillo.

Next, add in the plant milk, vanilla, and oats. Cover and bring to a low boil again, then lower the heat to simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. If you prefer your oatmeal a little thicker, cook for an additional 5 minutes with the lid off.

Divide between bowls and serve with plant milk, sweetener of choice, a sprinkle of cinnamon, sliced bananas, dried fruit, or whatever else you can think of. Enjoy!

Healthy Banana Almond Oatmeal

rolled oats (1/2 cup)

water (1/2 cup)

120 milliliters unsweetened almond milk (1/2 cup)

salt

tsp vanilla extract

stevia

Pour everything except almond butter and banana into a deep saucepan and stir to mix together.

Bring it to boil then turn the heat down to low.

Cook until oats are soft, stirring occasionally. Depending on the cut of your oats, this will take about 5 mins or more.

Remove from heat then cover the pot with a lid and let it sit for another 2 mins.

Serve with some freshly sliced bananas and nut butter! Some choc chips or shredded coconut are great for oatmeal too!

Delicious! I topped mine with almond butter and blueberries.

Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

Rolled Oats

tsp Chia Seeds

tsp Vanilla Flavoring

Almond Milk (or milk of choice)

Vanilla Greek Yogurt

tbsp Creamy Almond Butter

Apples, diced, divided

Honey

tbsp Pecans, chopped

In a bowl, mix the diced apples with half the cinnamon and half the honey. Set to the side.

In a larger bowl, stir together the oats, chia seeds, remaining cinnamon &amp; honey, almond milk, yogurt, almond butter, and vanilla. Also, add in 3/4 of the apple mixture.

This can either be one large serving or 2 smaller servings. Add this mixture to your desired container. I like to use mason jars.

Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight. Either add the remaining apples and pecans to the container before refrigerating or you can top it off once you are about to enjoy the oats. That is up to you! This stays well for up to 3 days.

As someone who doesn’t really enjoy oats, this was amazing! All the flavors just worked so well. I’m definitely going to be making this again and again.

I don’t typically love overnight oats but this recipe had me making it every night for WEEKS! I love to prep it the night before and then have something healthy and wholesome waiting for me in the morning.

These are my go to when making overnight oats. It’s such a flexible and customizable recipe. I love it!

THIS RECIPE IS SO GOOD!!! and really easy to meal prep. i bought a bunch of pyrex 32oz jars and they are perfect to put the overnight oats, pecans, and apples separately so the pecans and apples are fresh and crunchy by the time i eat it in the morning. tastes like ice cream!
