Cold Weather Calls For Boozy Apple Cider

This Harvest Punch from Delish.com is like Fall in a cup. 

Harvest Punch

c. ice

(750 mL) bottle Prosecco,

c. vodka

ginger beer

apples, sliced

oranges, sliced into triangles, plus more for rimming

cinnamon

Tripled the amount of vodka. Was a huge hit at my Friendsgiving celebration yesterday.

My family has never had punch before at Thanksgiving, but I stumbled on this recipe while looking for a fun cocktail to serve. It was a big hit! We initially halved the ingredients, but we ended up making a second batch. I think this will be a new Fall tradition ❤️

I made it for my fall housewarming and it was a hit! I had so many people ask for the recipe.

Made it for a fall wedding. Guests raved.

Harvest Punch Is What Your Friends Will Drink All Fall

Instant Pot spiced apple cider recipe is quintessentially autumn. This homemade hot apple cider is made from fresh apples. Citrus and fall spices are added to it to make it a perfect spiced treat for a winter night. It’s naturally vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

Instant Pot Spiced Apple Cider Recipe

oranges

cloves (about 20)

nutmeg

star anise

sugar coconut sugar

water

Cinnamon stick

Star Anise

Cranberries

Orange slices

Wash apples and oranges.

Roughly chop apples and oranges. Don’t bother removing seeds or skin.

Throw all fruits in instant pot.

Add all the whole spices.

Pour enough water to completely cover the fruits inside the pot.

Add brown sugar. Give it a stir.

Secure the lid in it’s place.

Select HIGH PRESSURE setting and adjust timer to 15 minutes.

Once cooking time is complete, allow instant pot to naturally release pressure for 15 minutes.

Then manually release pressure by turning pressure knob from sealing to venting position.

Wait for pressure to be release completely.

Open lid.

Remove all the whole spices.

Mash using potato masher.

Strain the cider in fine mesh strainer or in muslin cloth. Squeeze out as much juice you can. Discard the residues.

Serve warm as it is or garnished with cinnamon stick, few fresh cranberries (after all it’s fall), some chopped apples, a slice of orange or just plain in individual mugs.

Store instant pot apple cider in fridge for upto 7 days or freeze it for longer.

This easy coffee recipe is an exact replica of Starbucks' sweet, warm &amp; comforting Cinnamon Dolce Latte! Perfect for the holidays &amp; chilly weather sipping.

Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte

instant espresso powder

milk ((I use skim))

brown sugar

vanilla extract

Whipped cream and Ground Cinnamon

Stir the espresso powder into the hot water and set aside.

In a glass measuring cup combine milk, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla and nutmeg; stir until thoroughly combined.

Place in Microwave and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until the milk starts to froth up.

Remove from Microwave and stir again.

Place in Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, or until the milks starts to froth up again.

Remove and, while stirring the espresso, slowly pour the milk mixture into the coffee.

Top with whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon.

Serve.

Enjoy a quick cup of masala chai or a chai latte using homemade Chai Concentrate. The tea is brewed in small batches and infused with fragrant chai spices.

tsp black tea leaves

In a mortar and pestle, crush the knob of ginger into chunks to release the juices and expose more surface area. Add the cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, roses, cardamom pods, black peppercorns, and ginger into the mortar and pestle and lightly crush them so they release their oils. Lastly, use a microplane to grate a bit of nutmeg.

Transfer all of the spices from the mortar and pestle to a medium sized pot. On medium heat, dry roast the spices for a minute, or until they&#39;re fragrant.

Pour the water in with the spices and bring it to a light rolling boil for 3-5 minutes, or until fragrant.

At this point, add in the black tea leaves and mix really well. Simmer the spices with the black tea for 5 minutes. Be careful not to boil it for too long, otherwise it will be very bitter.

Remove the pot from heat and pour in the sugar. Stir until the sugar has fully dissolved.

Allow the spices and tea to steep in the hot water for at least 15 minutes. Then, strain the chai concentrate into a sanitized pitcher with a lid. Store in the fridge for up to five days.

Use a 1:1 ratio of concentrate to milk. The concentrate can be served steamed, heated, or chilled.

caramel sauce, warmed (1/4 cup)

apple cider, chilled

ginger beer,

Dip the rim of the glass in the sauce, then dip it in the demerara sugar.

Pour the warm sauce into the glass, then the apple cider and finish with the ginger beer.  Stir until well combined.

Garnish with a cinnamon stick.  Serve immediately.

Ginger beer does pack a punch, but it tastes good mixed with caramel sauce and apple cider. 🍎
