This pear, brie and caramelized onion flatbread recipe is the perfect combination of sweet, tangy and savory flavors. It is also super easy to make thanks to packaged gluten-free flatbread mix!

Pear, Brie and Caramelized Onion Flatbread

olive oil (extra virgin)

½ medium yellow onion (thinly sliced)

tsp sugar

tsp balsamic vinegar (optional)

water

salt and black pepper

red pepper flakes

pear (thinly sliced)

oz brie cheese

arugula and honey (for serving)

Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and cook until softened and slightly browned, about 5 minutes. Lower heat to medium, add sugar, salt, pepper and a little water to onions and continue to cook until onions are very soft and caramelized, 30-35 minutes, adding more water to onions as needed to keep them from burning. Once onions are very soft and dark brown add balsamic and cook until all water has evaporated. Set onions aside.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray or line a baking sheet with parchment and set aside.

Prepare your flatbread crust according to package instructions. The Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Flatbread Mix that I used for this recipe is ready for the oven in only 5 minutes!

Form two round flatbreads on your prepared baking sheet and sprinkle each with a little salt, cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes. Par-bake flatbread crusts in preheated oven for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, thinly slice your pear. Remove flatbread from oven and top with sliced pears, caramelized onions and torn brie cheese pieces.

Bake flatbreads for 10 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melty. Top each flatbread with fresh arugula and a drizzle of honey. Enjoy!

Avocado and Smoked Salmon Appetizer (On Flatbread)

flatbread square (about 200 grams)

olive oil

goat cheese

salmon

capers

chives

avocado (pitted, peeled and sliced)

black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Brush flatbread with olive oil and place onto a baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until browned and crisped a little. Carefully remove.

Spread goat cheese over flatbread.

Top with smoked salmon, capers, chives, avocado and black pepper.

Cut into 12 pieces. Drizzle with additional olive oil (if desired). Serve and enjoy!

Cheeseburger Flatbreads

stone fire flatbreads

unsalted butter, melted

sesame seeds

American cheese

Roma tomatoes, ½’ thick sliced

pickles, sliced very thin

whole milk mozzarella,

Ketchup and mustard, for drizzling

Garlic aioli & baby arugula,

Preheat the oven to 375° F and prepare two parchment-lined sheet trays.

Brush melted butter around the edges of the premade flatbreads and sprinkle the sesame seeds around the edges on the prepared sheet trays. Par-bake for 10 minutes.

Preheat a saute pan over medium-high heat, then add ground beef to the pan to brown. Season with salt and pepper.

When the beef is browned, drain the beef and add back to the pan with sliced American cheese.

Assembly flatbreads with a zigzag drizzle of ketchup in the center of each flatbread, followed by mustard. Top with mozzarella cheese, then ground beef, red onion, and sliced tomato.

Bake flatbread in the oven for 12 - 15 minutes or until cheese is bubble and crusts are deeply golden.

Finish your flatbread with garlic aioli and sliced pickles. Slice and enjoy!
