Classic Bisquick Peach Cobbler

original bisquick mix

milk

nutmeg

butter, melted

sugar

sliced peaches, drained

Stir together Bisquick mix, milk and nutmeg in ungreased 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish.

Stir together sugar and peaches; spoon over batter.

Sweet and delicious, this quick and easy crock pot apple cobbler is a family-favorite recipe!

Quick &amp; Easy Crock Pot Apple Cobbler Recipe

(1/2 stick butter), melted

all-purpose flour

baking powder

salt

cinnamon

apples (peeled or not, your choice)

Ideal slow cooker size: 4-Quart.

Grease the inside of your slow cooker well.

Pour the melted butter into the slow cooker.

In a bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon until well blended.

Add the milk to the flour mixture and stir until you have a smooth batter.

Pour the batter into the slow cooker on top of the butter. DO NOT STIR.

Spoon the chopped apples over the batter. DO NOT STIR.

Cover the cooker, tilting the lid slightly to allow the release of extra moisture. (Alternatively you can prop the lid open slightly at one end with the end of a wooden spoon handle or chopstick or insert a paper towel over the crock before putting on the cover.)

Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

Serve warm.

Fresh Peach Cobbler just may be the ultimate summer dessert comfort food.  It's simple, easy and a timeless classic with a buttery cobbler topping, fresh juicy peaches, and hints of cinnamon in a rich, sweet syrup.  This is the best peach cobbler I have ever eaten!  It has a perfectly wonderful crust that is crisp on top but is also soft and moist and chewy thanks to the juicy peaches bubbling below it.    

Best Ever Peach Cobbler

salted butter, (melted)

cornstarch

lemon juice

Heat oven to 400°F. Peel, pit and slice peaches into thick slices. Melt butter and pour into a large 9x13&quot; pan.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugars, cinnamon, cornstarch and lemon juice and toss to coat. Pour into the pan right over the melted butter. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven while preparing cobbler topping.

While the peach filling is baking, prepare the cobbler topping by combining the flour, sugars, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.

Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs, then stir in the boiling hot water just until everything is combined.

After peaches have cooked for 10 minutes, remove from the oven and drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping over the peaches. The topping will rise and spread as it cooks, so no need to worry about spreading it around. Just try to cover the peaches evenly with dollops of cobbler topping.

Sprinkle the cobbler with the 3 additional tablespoons of granulated sugar, then return to the oven and bake for 30 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling up around the edges. You may want to bake it on a baking sheet just in case the fruit juices bubble over during the cooking process.

Remove from heat and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving with vanilla ice cream.

Now this is my kind of desert recipe. I absolutely love peach cobbler!!

Strawberry Dump Cobbler

strawberries (washed & hulled)

oz cream cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt butter and pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Mix egg, flour, sugar, milk, baking powder and salt. Pour on top of butter but do not mix.

Place strawberries in a single layer across top. If some berries are very large, cut them in half.

Distribute cream cheese pieces evenly over top.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes, or until top is golden brown.

I added stevia because my plums were tart, but if you use sweet fruit, you may find that no sweetener is needed.

Low-Fat Plum Cobbler

soy yogurt ((1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons)

maple syrup

white whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly coat a 9-inch deep-dish pie pan or square baking dish with non-stick spray or use a silicone baking dish. Arrange the plums in the pan. (Note: If your plums are not very sweet, you can sprinkle them with a little sugar or agave nectar.)

Combine the yogurt/tofu, water, lemon juice, agave nectar, and vanilla extract in a small mixing bowl. Add the stevia, whisking well to make sure that it dissolves completely. (If you see clumps of stevia, put the mixture into the blender and process until smooth.)

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the remaining, dry ingredients. Add the wet to the dry, and stir until well combined. Pour the batter over the fruit, and tap the pan lightly on the counter to remove trapped air bubbles. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Peach Cobbler

butter (softened, to grease baking pan)

peaches (about 8 large, 8-cups sliced)

ginger

unsalted butter

Preheat the Oven

Heat the Oven - Set the oven rack to the middle position. Preheat to 425ºF (218ºC).

Grease Baking Dish

Grease Baking Dish - Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with softened butter. Set aside.

Peel the Peaches

Peel the Peaches - Remove the skin from the peaches using a hand peeler. Alternatively, for soft peaches that are hard to peel, use the blanch and shock method. Cut a shallow 2-inch wide “X” on the bottoms. Submerge one to two peaches at a time in boiling water until the skin starts to separate from the flesh, about 10 to 20 seconds. Immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water and cool for 1 minute, then use your fingers to remove the skin.

Prepare the Filling

Prepare the Filling - Cut the peaches into ½-inch thick wedges and transfer to a large mixing bowl. This should yield about 8 cups of sliced peaches. Add brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and nutmeg. Stir to combine.

Pre-Bake the Peaches

Pre-Bake the Peaches - Spread the peach filling evenly in the baking dish. Bake until the filling starts to bubble and lightly thicken, 15 minutes. Remove the baking dish from the oven.

Prepare the Topping

Prepare the Topping - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Toss the cold cubed butter into the flour mixture. Use fingers to break into small pieces until the mixture resembles cornmeal or wet sand. Stir in the buttermilk; the topping will be wet and look like a very thick cake batter.

Combine Topping and Filling

Assemble the Cobbler - Drop about 2 tablespoon-sized mounds evenly on top of the peach filling, about 12 mounds. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, and ginger. Evenly sprinkle over the topping and filling.

Bake the Cobbler

Bake the Cobbler - Bake until the topping is golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.

Serving

To Serve - Cool the cobbler for 20 to 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the filling to thicken. Serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
