This Pan-Seared Steak has a garlic butter that makes it taste like a steakhouse quality meal. You&#039;ll be impressed at how easy it is to make the perfect steak that&#039;s seared on the outside, and perfectly tender inside.

Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter

Tbsp vegetable oil

tsp sea salt

tsp black pepper (freshly ground)

unsalted butter

garlic (peeled and quartered)

rosemary

Thoroughly pat steak dry with paper towels. Just before cooking, generously season with 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper

Heat the cast iron pan until hot then add 1/2 Tbsp oil over medium-high heat, swirling to coat. Once the oil is very hot, add steaks to the skillet. Sear the steaks on the first side for 4 minutes until a brown crust has formed then flip and cook another 3-4 minutes. Using tongs, turn the steak on its sides to render the white fat and sear the edges (1-minute per edge).

Reduce heat to medium and immediately add 2 Tbsp butter, quartered garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan. Spoon the butter sauce over the steak, tilting the pan to get butter on your spoon. Continue spooning the sauce over the steak for a minute or until the steak is about 5-10 degrees from your desired doneness (the temperature will continue to rise another 5-10 degrees while steaks rest).

Transfer steak to a cutting board, loosely cover and rest 10 minutes before slicing into 1/2&quot; strips to serve. Spoon extra butter sauce over sliced steak to serve.

These garlic butter steak bites are ready in only 15 minutes and cook in one skillet. This is an easy recipe that's always a memorable treat! Plus the garlic butter sauce is HEAVENLY.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Dab the steak with a paper towel to remove any moisture (this will help it sear). Add the steak to the skillet in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary), and cook 4 - 5 minutes, stirring to brown on all sides. Drain any excess grease. 

Reduce the heat to low and add the butter and garlic to the pan. As the butter melts, stir it into the steak. Cook for 1 - 2 more minutes, until the steak is coated in the butter. 

Serve immediately, drizzled with the melted butter and garlic as preferred. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Seared steak bites are tossed in a flavorful garlic butter sauce and served with garlic butter flavored zucchini noodles. This is an easy dish that comes together in minutes and can be made ahead of time for weekly meal prep.&nbsp;

Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Zucchini Noodles Meal Prep

tbsp butter

garlic (minced)

soy sauce

garlic powder

canola oil (or olive oil)

zucchini (spiralized)

In a small saucepan, and butter and garlic. Cook over low medium heat until butter is melted and garlic starts to brown and the flavor of the garlic is infused with the butter. Stir in the garlic powder and soy sauce. Taste and adjust as needed. Set aside.

Add the canola oil to a large cast iron skillet and bring to high heat. When oil is hot, add in the steak.

Cook steak about 1-2 minutes on each side, letting them develop a golden sear before flipping them. Lightly season steak with salt as needed. (Keep in mind that the sauce will add sodium to the steak).&nbsp;

When steak is almost finished cooking, pour two-thirds of the garlic butter sauce over the steak. Stir steak until it is cooked and evenly coated in sauce. Garnish with parsley.

Remove steak from pan and divide into meal prep containers.

Using the same pan (and keeping in any remaining sauces from the steak and sauce), add in the zucchini noodles and remaining garlic butter sauce. Stir zucchini noodles until they are fully cooked. Season with salt as needed. Drain water from zucchini noodles and then add to meal prep containers.

Sirloin steak gets the royal treatment, first topped in mesquite seasoning and then finished with a delicious garlic herb butter sauce. The result is thick, juicy, moist, buttery, garlicky tender sirloin steak every time! 

Sirloin Steak Recipe

sirloin steaks (about 1 1/4 pounds)

salt and pepper (to taste)

mesquite seasoning (see note)

butter (softened)

parsley (see note)

thyme (see note)

Stir together butter, garlic powder, garlic, and herbs. Set aside.

Pat steaks dry with a paper towel.

Rub steaks all over with olive oil.

Season steaks with salt and pepper to taste, and mesquite seasoning.

Cook steaks 5-8 minutes on each side (or until cooked to desired doneness - I like mine medium-well at about 145 degrees internal temperature) in a skillet over medium heat OR on a grill over medium heat.  (See note for oven instructions)

Allow steaks to rest at least 5 minutes.

Top with garlic herb butter and serve.

Basting with garlic-thyme infused butter as the steak is cooking adds flavour and luxury to the steak. You'll feel like a total pro cooking it and it'll rival the best steakhouse in town!

Bring to room temp: Take the steak out of the fridge 30 minutes prior to bring to room temperature.

Dry steaks: Pat dry with paper towels.

Heat skillet: Heat oil in a heavy based skillet over high heat until it is very hot - you should see smoke!

Season: Sprinkle each side of the steak generously with salt and pepper, then immediately place in the skillet.

Sear Side 1: Cook for 2 - 2.5 minutes until you get a great crust, then turn.

Garlic Butter: Leave for 1 minute, then push steaks to one side and toss in butter, garlic and thyme. BE CAREFUL - the thyme will sputter!

Baste:&nbsp;As soon as the butter is melted, continuously spoon the butter over the steak until it's cooked to your liking - 2 minutes in total for the 2nd side for medium rare (52C/125F, chart below for other doneness temps)

Basting also renders fat on the side of the steak – use tongs to sear the edges at the end if you want it browned more.

Rest: Transfer steak to a plate and cover loosely with foil, rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Serve steak with a bit of the butter from the skillet drizzled on top. Pictured in post with Crispy Smashed Potatoes.

Heat a large skillet over medium/high heat with the 1 tbsp olive oil.

Cut the steak into cubes and season with salt and pepper. I usually do 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. 

Once the skillet is hot, add in the steak pieces. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Stir occasionally. For the steak to get really crispy, make sure to drain any excess water out of the skillet towards the end of cooking. Once liquid is removed, place the skillet back on the heat and brown another minute or so. This will give the steak a nice crispy texture. 

Transfer the cooked steak to a large bowl and place to the side. 

To the hot skillet add the ghee and the minced garlic. Heat for 30 seconds. 

Transfer the steak back to the skillet and mix together with a large wooden spoon. Make sure to coat the steak evenly with the butter and garlic mixture.

Season with salt and pepper and serve with your favorite roasted or steamed veggie. 

This dish is so easy, quick and delicious!  My entire family loved it, which is saying a lot as we all have different tastes and two of my boys are not huge fans of red meat.  The steak is so tender and melts in your mouth.  I served it with broccoli, your sautéed zucchini and squash side dish and couscous.  Huge hit here!

yes please ! i just made this! dinner wasn’t enough and i wanted something that fitted in my macros wich was only protein and fat mainly . my husband said he didn’t want anything i made this with half a chopped up zucchini (for a little more volume) i needed to check in the laundry because the machine was making strange noises . Garlic Butter Steak Bites (Keto, Whole30)

Garlic Butter Steak with Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash is a delicious dinner packed with fiber (veggies) and protein (steak).  This well-balanced Autumn meal is comfort food on a plate.  The flank steak is cooked in butter, garlic, and fresh thyme.   Brussels sprouts add crunch, while roasted butternut squash provides subtle sweetness to this savory dish.

Garlic Butter Steak with Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash

butternut squash (peeled, seeded, cubed)

Brussels sprouts

lb flank steak

smoked paprika

chili powder

black pepper (freshly ground, to taste)

butter

thyme

Preheat oven to 400 F.  Make sure the butternut squash is peeled, seeded, and cubed.  Here is a very detailed recipe on how to peel, seed, cube, and roast butternut squash.

In a large bowl, toss cubed butternut squash with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Spread the squash on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in one layer, without overcrowding.

Roast on the middle rack in the preheated oven at 400 F for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven.

Roasted Butternut Squash

Preheat oven to 400 F.  Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and remove yellow leaves.   Slice all Brussels sprouts in half.

In a medium bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Spread the Brussels sprouts on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet in one layer, without overcrowding.

Roast on the middle rack in the preheated oven at 400 F for 20 or 30 minutes. You can roast them at the same time you roast butternut squash. Remove from oven.

Roasted Brussels sprouts

Season the flank steak on both sides with 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder, and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.  You can use more than 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Heat an empty large cast-iron skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes. This allows the cast-iron skillet to heat through. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the whole flank steak and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, without moving it at all so that it sears nicely.

Flip the flank steak over to the other side, reduce heat to low-medium, and cook for about 5 minutes or more until the steak is cooked to your liking.  As a guidance, the meat thermometer should register 130°F for medium-rare, and 145°F for medium in the thickest part of the steak (FDA-recommended safe internal cooking temperature for steak is 145°F).

Remove the steak from the skillet to a plate.  Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips about 1-inch wide.

To the same, now empty, cast-iron skillet, add butter and minced garlic.  Cook on low-medium heat for about 1 or 2 minutes or until the garlic softens.

Add cooked and sliced flank steak, fresh thyme, and coat thoroughly with the garlic butter sauce on low-medium heat for a minute or two. Remove from heat.

Add roasted butternut squash and roasted Brussels sprouts to the skillet with a cooked flank steak to warm everything up on low heat.   If you used a large skillet, everything should fit.  If not, work in batches. Top with more fresh thyme.  Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Garlic butter steak is easy to make with only a handful of ingredients. Make this recipe tonight for a delicious main course in just 20 minutes!

Garlic Butter Steak Recipe

oz New York strip steaks ((about 1 1/4-inches thick))

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

Remove the steaks from the fridge about 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking.

Place them on a paper towel-lined cutting board and pat them dry with paper towels.

Season well all sides of the steaks with coarse salt and set aside.

In a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. When the pan is near smoking, it’s a sign that it’s properly heated.

Place the steaks in the hot skillet and cook for about 3 minutes each side or until the steaks get a nice crust.

Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and garlic. Flip the steaks again and tilt the pan to help the butter spread on the skillet.

Using a spoon, pour butter over the steaks. Flip again the steaks and check the internal temperature of the steaks. For rare is Medium rare is 135 degrees, medium = 145 degrees, medium well = 150 degrees and well done = 160 degrees.

The totally cooking time for my steak was about 8 minutes. It will depend on how you prefer your steak to be (rare, medium, medium well or well done).

Transfer to plates. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Skillet Garlic Butter Steak

Garlic Steak Bites are the perfect little cubes of happiness. They're tender, buttery, and all-around delicious. 

Garlic Steak Bites

lbs beef stew meat

beefy onion soup mix,

beef broth

tsp salt

tsp pepper

tbsp minced garlic

onion powder

oregano

yellow onion,

8-9 small to medium-sized russet potatoes, cut into bite-sized cubes

Parmesan cheese

Spray the inside of a large slow cooker with non-stick spray. Add the beef, onion, onion soup mix, broth, minced garlic, and seasonings. Stir well to coat the beef in the seasonings. Add the cubed potatoes and stir to combine. Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 7 hours or HIGH for 5 hours.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese just before serving. Enjoy!
