I would use a little less lemon then called for. So half a lemon instead of a full one because mine ended up a little too sour but it still good

Very yummy and love the lemon flavor. I used rice noodles to pair with it. Very tasty.

Make this to go with our steaks. I had to cut back on the red pepper flakes. It added too much of a kick with the original amount, but using less makes it more tolerable for those who want a bit of kick but not as much. Cut back a little on the lemon slices too. But it's become our favorite way to make shrimp!

Very spicy. Do not use a full tsp. of crushed red pepper flakes.

It was very simple to make and tasted quite good! However, I would add a little less lemon to it (or perhaps my lemons were just fairly large). I would also add a little more garlic (then again, maybe my garlic cloves were simply smaller than average.

I've just preapared this recipe for lunch, I followed the recipe exactly except for a scrunch of tumeric and and pepper, fited perfectly with a small bowl of rice.

This was very good but I think sautéing the garlic in the oil would have enhanced the flavor

Love this recipe but instead of red peppers I use a hint of cajan spice. Not quite as hot but a little zip

took longer then 5 minutes to prep but we don't know how long this will take but i have a phd so it doesn't matter.

Depending on how you purchased the shrimp, you have various ways to prepare them. In Spain, it is typical to buy the prawns whole, and not to devain them or peel them prior to preparing. This will give the sauce a richer flavor, but you need to be sure the prawns are fresh when preparing them with their heads attached. You may also choose to buy them already shelled, with only the tail attached for asthetics, and devained.

Once you have the raw shrimp prepared to go into the pan, heat the olive oil in a wide skillet (you don't want to crowd the shrimp) over a high heat.

When the oil is almost smoking (but not quite) add in the prawns and let cook for about 40 seconds per side, sauteeing them bit to coat them evenly in the oil.

Add the garlic and give everything a quick sautee, then remove the prawns with a slotted spoon and let them rest on a plate.

Add the cup of whiskey to the skillet and lower the heat. Let the sauce reduce about 1/3.

Add the lemon juice and let it simmer for a few more minutes.

Add back in the shrimp and coat with the sauce.

Add in the butter and finally the parsley.

Season with salt and serve immediately.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and grease a large sheet pan.

Stir together olive oil, butter, and Cajun seasoning. Place potatoes in a large bowl. Pour butter mixture over the potatoes and toss well to coat.

Arrange potatoes on one of half the prepared sheet pan in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes.

In the same bowl you used for the potatoes, combine shrimp, butter, and Cajun seasoning and toss to coat.

Arrange shrimp in a single layer on the unused half of the sheet pan and return to oven for 6 minutes until shrimp are opaque and potatoes are fork tender.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.

Pour in the beer, and cook for 1 more minute, or until the shrimp turn pink.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the fresh basil and thyme.

Marry Me Shrimp Pasta

Get your prep done before you start to cook. Peel en devein the shrimp. In a bowl, combine shrimp with paprika,  garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Set aside.

Mince the garlic, grate the Parmesan, chop the sun-dried tomatoes and chop the basil leaves.

Boil the rigatoni al dente in salted water, according to the package directions. Drain, when ready.

In the meantime, heat oil and butter over medium high in a large skillet. Place shrimp in a single layer, and sear for 1 minute per side. Remove from skillet into a clean bowl.

Add garlic, sauté for 1 minute over medium low. Then add the sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and the remaining salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute more. Add flour, stir until incorporated. Deglaze with chicken broth, simmer for 2 minutes while scraping up the brown bits on the bottom of your skillet with a wooden spoon.

Pour in cream and stir in tomato paste, bring to a boil. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3 minutes or until the pasta finishes cooking. Next, add lemon juice and basil. Finally stir in Parmesan.

Toss with pasta and shrimp. Finish off with chili flakes. Enjoy!

Couple of adjustments that I made; don’t use the flour, add pasta water instead. Pasta water already has starch in it, which acts as a thickener. Also, instead of using all the broth, use part of it and sub white wine. It added a lovely addition to the taste! I used calamarata (or pacchiere, it’s also called)  pasta.

I struggle to make recipes come to life in my kitchen but this recipe was detailed and user friendly. It is the tastiest dish I have made from any recipe outside of my family and I will definitely be remaking it. It has made me hopeful to explore other recipes on the site.

Amazing. Only differences were that I used fire roasted tomatoes instead and added a little sugar to the sauce at the end. Restaurant quality for sure.

I made this with a few substitutions since I am gluten and dairy free, it turned out delicious! I will say next time I am buying my shrimp already cleaned 😛 it took so long!! Other than the prep this was a huge hit, thank you so much for sharing the recipe!
