The secret to really good garlic bread is to keep it simple. And to use a lot of garlic—4 cloves for one loaf! This recipe is the perfect side for our Spaghetti Bolognese﻿...or really any Italian pasta dinner﻿.

c. (1 stick) butter, softened

kosher salt

c. grated Parmesan

Make sure not to use 1/2 a teaspoon of salt. It’s way to salty. Just use 1/4 teaspoon

Absolutely Awesome!
I saw the recipe and had to make it.  I softened the butter in the microwave and mixed everything up in the same pyrex measuring cup.  I substituted dehydrated parsley, and let it rest in the butter for awhile before I spread it.  The garlic smelled very strong while cooking.  My wife is not a huge parmesan fan so I used about a tablespoon of grated.  It all came together beautifully.  There is no substitute for fresh garlic instead of powders and salts.  We only ate half of it for dinner.  We are going to put shredded mozzarella on the other half and put it under the broiler for a late night date night snack.  Enjoy!

AMAZING!  I will only make it this way from now on! No parsley so I added sprinkles of oregano. Used squeezable minced garlic too.

Everyone loved this garlic bread. I would either reduce the kosher salt or eliminate it entirely. The parmesan cheese added enough salty flavor to the mix for our taste.

Amazing!  I made it and my family loved it!!!  Nice and crispy and very tasty.  I replaced the salt with Adobo Seasoning and I also added onion powder and the dry chopped onion flakes.  Add a good amount of parmasan cheese!  I basically did the seasonings without the measurements, I just like to go my own way until I know it's a good amount for flavor.  Seasonings is key! :)

This was absolutely delish (get it) and it was gone within minutes. I reduced the salt to 1/4 of a cup and it was delicious. (I would also put extra parm on for extra flavor)

You will never buy Garlic Texas Toast again! Homemade Garlic Toast is easy to make at home with a few ingredients and simple steps. This simple garlic toast recipe is perfect to serve with pastas, soups, or on it&#x27;s own!

Garlic Toast

unsalted butter (softened)

garlic (minced)

oregano

Parmesan Cheese (optional)

Preheat Oven

Mix together

In a small bowl mix together softened butter with minced garlic, salt, and oregano.

Spread

Spread each side of the sliced Italian Bread with the garlic butter. 

Sprinkle

Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese if desired. 

Bake

Place baking sheet into a preheated oven and toast for 3-4 minutes. Flip slices of bread over and toast for 2-3 minutes on the remaining side.

This toast is extra buttery, but with hints of caramelized garlic throughout. It's a little cheesy, but not overly so, and then the mushrooms...ah, the perfect balance of savory, creamy, and tangy!

Caramelized Garlic Butter Toast with Pan Fried Mushrooms

(1/2 cup) salted butter

garlic

red pepper flakes

sourdough baguette, halved lengthwise and cut in 6 pieces

parmesan cheese

extra virgin olive oil

mushrooms

thyme,

kosher salt and pepper

white wine

buttermilk

heavy cream

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.&nbsp;2. In a large skillet, combine the butter, garlic, and oregano. Cook over medium low heat, stirring often until the garlic is golden and caramelized, about 15 minutes. The butter will brown slightly. Remove from the heat and finely mash the garlic with a fork. Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes.3. Arrange the bread on a baking sheet. Drizzle/rub the garlic butter onto each cut side of bread. Top with cheese and transfer to the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.&nbsp;4. Meanwhile, return the skillet to medium heat and add the olive oil. When the oil shimmers, add the mushrooms. Cooking, undistributed until the mushrooms are golden on the bottom, about 3-5 minutes, stir and add the thyme and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to low, add the wine, buttermilk, and cream. Cook until warmed though, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and season as needed with salt and pepper.&nbsp;5. Arrange the garlic bread on a serving plate and spoon the mushrooms over top. Alternately, you can serve the garlic bread alongside the mushrooms for dipping/spoon over the bread. Top with thyme. EAT!

This one-pot meal, developed for our #cook90 initiative, is herby, sweet, and garlicky all at once. To add more green, throw in a handful of arugula and spinach at the end; for more garlic, pair it with garlic toast.

Shrimp with Herby White Beans and Tomatoes 

olive oil, divided

shallot,

tomatoes

(or more) kosher salt, divided

black pepper, divided

white beans, rinsed, drained

Roasted Garlic Herb Sauce

shrimp, peeled, deveined (about 16 medium)

Thick slices of crusty toasted bread (for serving)

The BEST Garlic Bread

1 (14 to 16-ounce) loaf soft French bread (not baguette)

unsalted butter

garlic, finely minced (about 2 tablespoons minced)

parsley flakes

Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Slice loaf of bread in half and place the pieces, cut side up, on the prepared pan.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the garlic and remove from the heat. Allow the garlic to steep in the butter for about 3 minutes. Add the salt and parsley and stir to combine. Use a spoon or pastry brush to coat the cut sides of the bread with the garlic butter.

Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. For extra crispiness, place under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, watching very carefully. Slice and serve warm.

Looks great! I often see a bread like that labeled French Country bread at Kroger, and it makes for good sandwiches.
