Heavy Cream

Sugar-Free Maple Syrup

Vanilla Essence

Place the dry ingredients into a small saucepan and mix together.

Add the remaining ingredients.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk the ingredients together for about 10 minutes until it has thickened and is warmed through.

Pour into a bowl&nbsp;and top with your favorite toppings - we recommend extra Sugar-Free Maple Syrup and chopped Pecans.

Keto Recipe - Oatmeal & Porridge Substitute - Tasty Low Carb, Healthy Breakfast Cereal (Omega 3s)

This meal prep friendly version of a classic oatmeal flavor pairing needs to be on next week’s menu plan: Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cups. They are slightly sweet, filling, and with a smear of nut butter, the perfect no-cook breakfast. 

Meal Prep Friendly Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cups

oats

flaxseed

baking powder

cinnamon

nutmeg

salt

almond milk

applesauce

maple syrup

vanilla extract

granny smith apple, diced

In a large mixing bowl, add the oats, ground flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir to combine. Add the almond milk, applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Mix well. Fold in the diced apple. 

Evenly divide the oatmeal mixture among 12 muffin cups that have been lightly greased with cooking spray. Top with extra apple pieces and a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown and the oatmeal cups spring back when touched. 

Allow the oatmeal cups to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to a few months.

Switch up your usual breakfast routine with a savory oatmeal recipe! Fiber-rich rolled oats are paired with protein-packed lentils, resulting in a creamy, hearty, and satisfying meal.

Best Savory Oatmeal (High in Protein)

olive oil

⅓ medium red onion

garlic

lentils

½ cups water or vegetable broth

Salt & pepper

Hummus

Cherry tomatoes

Salsa

Sliced green onion

Crackers

Hot sauce of choice

Avocado slices

Heat the olive oil in a medium pot over low-medium. Then, add in the diced red onion and minced garlic, saut&eacute;ing both for 3-4 minutes.

Next, add in the rolled oats, rinsed red lentils, veggie broth or water, and stir. Bring everything to a low boil, then turn the heat down, cover, and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. You&#39;ll know it&#39;s ready when the lentils are soft, but not too mushy.

Season everything with salt and pepper to taste, stir, and remove your pot from the heat.

Divide the oatmeal between bowls, and top it with your choice of garnishes. If you are prepping this ahead of time, let the oat mixture cool completely before transferring it to the fridge in an airtight container. Happy eating!

Excellent savory breakfast recipe. I followed the recipe and added 1 cup chopped carrots, 4 Tablespoons of ground dried shitake mushrooms. Saut&eacute;ed the veggies in the pressure cooker and then added the broth, oats and lentils. Cooked for 25 minutes with natural pressure release. So creamy and delicious!Topped my bowl with hot sauce.
