No yeast or xanthan gum is to be found in this amazingly easy Gluten-Free Pizza Crust recipe made with tapioca flour. This easy and delicious pizza crust has a delightfully chewy texture that is reminiscent of gluten-filled pizza crusts. It can be made thick or thin; and makes great cheesy breadsticks, also! It is a versatile family favorite of ours that we make EVERY Saturday night (for years now!) for our homemade pizza night. I am so happy to finally share it with you, and I hope you love it, too!

The Best Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Recipe

tapioca flour

mozzarella cheese (shredded)

sea salt

baking powder

Italian seasoning

garlic (grated

butter

eggs

milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond)

Preheat.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Drizzle a little olive oil into three 8-9&quot; round and/or square cake pans or cast iron skillets. If your pan(s) of choice are not very non-stick, I recommend lining them with parchment paper. I love using my copper bake pans for this recipe.

Combine dry ingredients.

In a large bowl combine flour, cheese, salt, baking powder, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Stir.

Add butter.

Add eggs. Whisk well.

Pour in eggs and milk and then stir swiftly, scraping down the sides as needed until all of the flour is combined with the milk and eggs. The batter will be quite wet.

Pour batter into pans.

Divide the batter between the cake pans. I like to use an ice cream scoop to pour a scoop into each pan evenly until all batter is dispersed.

Bake.

Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15 minutes.

Top.

Increase oven heat.

Bake for 6 minutes longer, and then turn the broiler on and broil until the toppings are melted and turning golden (2-3 minutes).

Whiz up cauliflower and ground almonds in a food processor to make this gluten-free pizza base - top with tomatoes, aubergine and cheese

Cauliflower crust pizza

cauliflower(about 750 grams/1lb 10 ounces)

ground almonds

eggs,beaten

oregano

can chopped tomatoes

tomato purée

garlic clove,crushed

½ large aubergine,thinly sliced lengthways into long strips

tbsp olive oil,plus extra for greasing

½ small bunch basil,leaves picked

Grana Padanoor Parmesan

Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stalk end, then cut into chunks. Blitz half the cauliflower in a <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/test-five-best-food-processors">food processor</a> until finely chopped, like rice. Transfer to a bowl and repeat with the remaining half. Tip all the cauliflower in a bowl, cover with cling film and microwave on High for 5-6 mins until softened. Tip onto a clean tea towel and leave to cool a little. Once cool enough to handle, scrunch up the tea towel and squeeze as much liquid as you can out of the cauliflower, then transfer to a clean bowl. Stir in the ground almonds, egg, oregano and plenty of seasoning. Line a baking tray with baking parchment and grease with oil. Mound the cauliflower mix into the centre of the tray, then use a spoon and your hands to spread out into a 30cm round. Make it a little thicker at the edges to create a ‘crust’. Bake for 15-18 mins until golden brown and starting to crisp a little at the edges.

Meanwhile, heat a griddle pan, brush each aubergine slice on both sides with a little of the oil, season and cook for 5-6 mins, turning once, until softened and charred – you’ll need to do this in batches. Transfer to a plate. Brush the onions with oil, season and griddle for 5-8 mins until softened and charred. To make the tomato sauce, whizz the canned tomatoes, tomato purée, garlic and some seasoning in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a small saucepan, bring to a simmer and cook gently for 8-10 mins until thick (you don’t want any watery tomato soaking into the cauliflower base). Tear half the basil leaves and stir through the sauce.

Once the cauliflower base is cooked, set aside to cool a little. Turn the oven up to 240C/220C fan/gas 8. Drain the mozzarella and pat dry with kitchen paper. Spread the tomato sauce over the base, sprinkle over the Grana Padano, then arrange the aubergines, red onion and mozzarella on top. Scatter over the chilli flakes and return to the oven for 10-12 mins. Before serving, shave over a little more cheese and scatter with the remaining basil leaves.

Gluten-Free Cauliflower Crust Pizza

(150 grams) cauliflower florets

egg, beaten

(85 grams) grated Parmesan

(85 grams) grated mozzarella

garlic powder

olive oil

Salt and pepper

(80 grams) Caputo Fioreglut Gluten Free Flour

tbsp (45 grams) Classic Pizza Sauce

(60 grams) mozzarella

Basil leaves

Using the food processor or box grater, grate the cauliflower into a fine, rice-like texture.

Place the cauliflower in a heat-proof container and cover loosely with a lid. Microwave for 5 minutes, or until the grated cauliflower rice has softened. Leave to cool.

Once cool, transfer the cauliflower rice into the nut milk bag and squeeze over the sink to drain out as much moisture as possible. Try to remove as much liquid as you can, as this will prevent the crust from becoming soggy.&nbsp;

Fire up your&nbsp;Ooni pizza oven. Aim for 752˚F (400˚C) on the stone baking board inside. If cooking with&nbsp;Ooni Pro, use the pizza door; if cooking with any other Ooni pizza oven, keep the door off. You can check the temperature inside your oven quickly and easily using the&nbsp;Ooni Infrared Thermometer.

In a bowl, combine the mozzarella, parmesan, olive oil, egg and herbs and season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine. Add the cauliflower and mix together until well combined. Dust over the gluten-free flour to distribute it evenly, and knead the mixture until all the flour has been absorbed. Form into a ball, then divide the mixture in half and shape into two balls.&nbsp;

Drizzle a little olive oil into your skillet and line the base with a circle of baking parchment – it should fit the base perfectly with no excess parchment coming up around the sides, as this can catch alight under the intense heat of the oven.

Place a dough ball in the center of the skillet. Press into the dough carefully to push it outwards and fill the base of the pan. Note that the texture will feel very different to a regular pizza dough – it should feel grainy and will not feel elastic, so be sure to do this gently. Aim for a ¼ inch (5mm) thickness, with the edge of the dough base reaching very close to the edge of the pan. Use your fingers to mend any tears around the edge of the base by smoothing them over.

Place the skillet in the center of the oven and reduce the flame to a minimum – if you’re cooking with gas, turn the dial right down the lowest setting. Cook for 5 minutes, turning every minute or so to ensure an even cook.

Once the base turns a light golden color and is crispy around the edges, remove the skillet from the oven and add the pizza sauce and mozzarella.&nbsp;Be careful not to overload the pizza with toppings – the base is delicate, so keep the ingredients light!

Place the skillet back in the oven and cook the pizza for a further 3 minutes, or until the mozzarella has melted, again turning the skillet regularly to cook it evenly.&nbsp;

Once cooked, remove the skillet and use the turner to carefully lift the pizza onto a cooling rack for 1 minute. This allows any excess moisture to escape which helps the crust to stay crispy and firm up before slicing.

Transfer to a serving board while still warm, slice it up and marvel in the low carb, gluten free goodness!

Repeat for the second ball of dough, or store in the fridge in an airtight container.

Cook rice according to package instructions, but do not stir when it is cooked. This allows it to stay sticky.

Cut each cucumber in half lengthwise, and hallow it out by removing the seeds with a knife or spoon.

Place a small amount of rice inside one half cucumber, then compress towards one side to make room for the other ingredients. Carefully add the smoked salmon, avocados, peppers and carrots, compressing as you add until the cucumber is packed full. Repeat for the remaining cucumbers.

Using a sharp knife, slice cucumbers into ½ inch thick pieces.

Serve immediately or cold with soy sauce or spicy mayo sauce, if desired.

Paleo Sweet Potato Pizza Crust Recipe

sweet potato (from roasted sweet potatoes)

almond flour

arrowroot

white wine vinegar

Roast sweet potatoes. I roast my sweet potatoes at 420 degrees F for 1 hour - 1 hr. 20 minutes, until they are very soft.

Once potatoes have cooled, scoop out the flesh, and measure out 2 cups of sweet potato puree.

In a large mixing bowl, add sweet potatoes, and use a hand mixture to whip the sweet potatoes until they are smooth.

Add the rest of the ingredients, and use the hand mixer again to mix well.

Preheat oven to 425 degree F.

Line a cookie sheet with baking paper. Scoop "dough" in heaping 1/2 cups (the recipe will make 4 small pizza crusts).

Wet your fingers, and lightly press down on the top of each mound.

Cover 1 mound of dough with another piece of parchment, and then use a flat-bottomed smooth plate to press down until the sweet potato is about 6 inches in diameter. Watch this process in the video above.

I like to use wet fingers to gently mold the edges of the crust, but this is optional.

Bake the crusts for 30 minutes.

Top the crusts with sauce, cheese, or other toppings, as desired.

Return topped pizzas to the oven for 12-20 minutes, depending on how many toppings are added. A basic cheese pizza will bake in 12 minutes, but a pizza loaded with tons of veggies will take 20.

For those avoiding gluten, our awesome gluten-free pizza dough recipe uses a certified gluten-free flour brand and is super easy to make.&nbsp;For this recipe, we use Caputo Fioreglut Gluten Free Flour. If you prefer to use a different gluten-free flour, It’s important to note that the results will vary significantly and may require different quantities of water, yeast and/our olive oil, plus different prive times and preparations.&nbsp; This recipe is our tried and tested method – it’s sure to reignite your love of pizza!Makes 3 x 16” pizzas,&nbsp; or 4 x 12” dough balls

Gluten-Free Pizza Dough

(540 grams) Caputo Fioreglut Gluten Free Flour

(430 grams) warm water

(17 grams) salt

Place two-thirds of the water in a large bowl. In a saucepan or microwave, bring the other third of water to boil, then add it to the cold water in the bowl. This creates the correct temperature for activating yeast. Whisk the salt, yeast and olive oil into the warm water.

If mixing by hand:Place the flour in a large bowl and pour the yeast mixture into it. Stir with a wooden spoon until the dough comes together in a ball. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead with both hands for about 10 minutes, until it is firm and well combined, and the dough ball is smooth and shiny. It’s important to note that dough that uses regular flour would be stretchy after kneading due to the gluten proteins strengthening during the kneading process. However, gluten-free flour will perform differently due to the absence of protein in the flour.Return the dough to the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap (cling film) and leave to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.If using a mixer:Fit the mixer with the dough hook and place the flour in the mixer bowl. Turn the machine on at a low speed and gradually add the yeast mixture to the flour. Once combined, leave the dough to keep mixing at the same speed for 5-10 minutes, or until the dough is firm and combined.&nbsp;Cover the dough with plastic wrap (cling film) and leave to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.

When the dough has roughly doubled in size, divide it into 4 or 3 equal portions each weighing 8.8/11.6oz (250/330 grams). The dough may collapse at this stage, but don’t panic – this is normal at this point.

In a well-floured, airtight tray, leave the dough portions to rise for a minimum of one hour and up to a maximum of five hours, or until the dough balls have doubled in size.

To shape each piece of dough into a pizza base, place the first dough portion onto a well-floured pizza peel. Gluten-free pizza dough is much more delicate than conventional pizza dough, so handle the dough carefully to avoid tearing it. Press down into the dough using your fingers to flatten and spread the dough into a base, making sure not to press into the very edge of the dough so that a thicker crust can form once it cooks. You can also gently stretch the dough sideways by pressing your palms on either side of the dough and slowly pulling your hands away from each other. Take care not to tear the dough.&nbsp;&nbsp;

When the base is stretched out to a thickness of a&nbsp;¼ inch (5mm), pick up the pizza peel and give it a gentle shake to ensure the base is not sticking to the peel before you start adding the toppings. Follow our&nbsp;10 Tips for Launching the Perfect Pizza&nbsp;to avoid dough sticking to the peel.&nbsp;

Fire up your&nbsp;Ooni pizza oven. Aim for&nbsp;&nbsp;842˚F (450˚C) on the stone baking board inside. You can check the temperature inside your oven quickly and easily using the&nbsp;Ooni&nbsp;Infrared Thermometer.

Launch the pizza into the oven, turning it every 20-25 seconds to ensure it cooks evenly.The gluten-free dough crust may appear to be cooked before it actually is due to the color the crust develops as it cooks, so don’t be afraid to bake the pizza a little longer. The base may also burn a little on the edges as it cooks through; simply dust those little burnt spots off after cooking.

Best Gluten-free Pizza Dough - Caputo Fioreglut

Caputo Fioreglut Gluten-free Flour (, 4 cups spooned and leveled)

Kosher Salt (, 1 Tablespoon)

Instant Yeast (, 2 teaspoons, Also known

Water

Olive Oil (, 2 Tablespoons)

Pizza Sauce, Cheese, and desired toppings

In a stand mixer bowl or other large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.

Pour in the warmed water (110°F-120°F) and olive oil.

Blend on medium speed for 2 minutes or stir very well with a sturdy spoon.

Scoop the dough into a ball and drizzle with olive oil. Roll it around to coat the dough and the sides of the bowl with a thin layer of oil.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and then a kitchen towel.  Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until dough has doubled in size.  Use immediately or refrigerate* until ready to make pizza.

Making the Dough

Preheat the oven for at least 30 min. at 450°F with a baking stone or cast-iron pizza pan in the top 1/3 of the oven.**

Place half of the dough on a piece of parchment paper that is no bigger than your pizza stone or pan.

Sprinkle white rice flour on top and either pat out the dough with your hands or gently roll it out with a rolling pin into a 12-inch circle.  (Pat out the dough for a thicker and softer crust edge. Roll out with a rolling pin for a thin and crunchy crust edge.)

Slide the pizza crust, along with the parchment paper, onto the pizza stone.  Bake for 7 minutes, removing the parchment paper after 2-3 minutes.

Remove the pizza crust from the oven, top with sauce, cheese, and other desired toppings.

Slide the pizza back into the oven and bake for 7 additional minutes or until desired doneness.

Gluten-Free Vegan Almond Flour Crust

Place the dough ball on the baking sheet and shape them into a disc, about ¼” thick. Bake on the center rack for 10 minutes until crust is golden brown.

Add sauce and toppings of choice, then place back in the oven for another 10 - 15 minutes.

Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Crustless Pepperoni Pizza

In an 8" nonstick skillet over medium heat, add mozzarella in an even layer. Top with Parmesan and pepperoni. Cover with a glass lid and cook until cheese is completely melted and edges are golden, about 8 minutes. Top with oregano and red pepper flakes and remove from heat.

Let cool 3 minutes before sliding onto plate.

Garnish with parsley and slice. Serve with marinara,&nbsp;if using, for dipping.

This is the best pizza I've ever Eaten! I stir fried green onion pepperoni in non stick skillet. Micro waved one piece bacon , and heated up my sauce for dipping. Love it , I’ve been trying to find a way to cut the carbs in pizza , love it ,  It my new breakfast , thank you for this wonderful recipe

Yum! This recipe can be customized however you like! It tastes amazing. Not like a normal pizza, but even more tasty! Don't be afraid to cook until a few black spots appear. You can't taste any burnt cheese, and then it is super crunchy! You have gotta try this awesome pizza!

I made this in a 10 inch non-stick pan. Threw all ingredients in beginning except for parsley (didnt have any). And i cut pepperoni into quarter size pieces. 
First 5 min cooked on medium heat. Added 2 pinches of diced green onion stems in last 5-8 minutes on low heat .
Key here is to watch for golden brown edges. Dabbed off alittle oil at end. I think it needs to have the dipping sauce for the pizza flavor. I used prego traditional spaghetti sauce. Turned out great!

This is delicious,  but I have to ask how do you keep the cheese from burning?  It's not really crispy,  but its good.
