Ham and Cheese Sliders (Hawaiian Roll Sliders Recipe)

sweet rolls

Swiss Cheese

honey

Dijon mustard

poppyseed dressing

preheat oven to 350 F

in a separate bowl, combine the Dijon and honey and stir until smooth

place the bottoms of the 9 rolls in a lightly sprayed baking dish

brush each roll with honey Dijon

top each with a slice of ham and then a slice of cheese

brush the inside of each top half of roll with more honey Dijon and place on top of each sandwich

liberally brush the outside of each top with poppyseed dressing.

cover with foil and cook for 15-18 minutes or until cheese is melty

broil for 4 minutes or until rolls are slightly browned/crisped (watch carefully, each oven is different and it is SO easy to burn things in the broiler!)

serve immediately

Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders

I&#039;m always on the hunt for quick and easy dinner recipes for my family, and these chicken sliders are always a hit even with my picky eaters. They are really simple to make with just a few cheap ingredients that can be thrown together in no time on busy weeknights. Serve with a salad to make the meal complete!

Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders (Made with Hawaiian Rolls)

(12 pack) Hawaiian rolls

chicken nuggets

marinara or pasta sauce

mozzarella cheese

butter ((plus more for greasing the dish))

tbsp grated parmesan cheese

garlic powder

Italian seasoning

Cook the chicken according to the package directions; set aside.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and butter the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.

Cut the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half without separating the rolls; place the bottoms into your prepared dish and bake for about 3 minutes (just enough to toast the bread a bit).

Place a precooked chicken nugget onto each one of the bottom pieces and then top with the marinara followed by the mozzarella cheese and top halves of the rolls.

Melt the butter in the microwave and mix with the garlic powder and Italian seasoning; brush the mixture evenly over the top of the rolls. Sprinkle the grated parmesan over top.

Cover your dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover, and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the buns turn golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on the counter for about 5 minutes. They should pull apart easily, but you can also cut them at the seperation lines with a sharp spatula or knife if that&#039;s easier.

Serve alone or with additional marinara for dipping.

This Hawaiian Rolls Recipe has just a hint of sweetness from pineapple juice. They are so so fluffy and easy to make. They make the best dinner rolls and are great for sliders.

Hawaiian Rolls Recipe

active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoon)

water

eggs

pineapple juice

milk

sugar

vanilla

butter (melted)

flour

salt

In a small bowl dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water with a pinch of sugar. Let sit until slightly foamy.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the yeast mixture, eggs, pineapple juice, 1/4 cup milk, sugar, vanilla and melted butter. When combined stir salt and flour into dough until a stiff batter is formed. Kneed for 10 minutes using a dough hook.

Cover and place in a warm place and let rise for 1 hour. When doubled, punch the air out of the dough and turn onto floured surface.

Divide into 2 equal pieces and then cut each piece into 8 sections for a total of 16 rolls. Form into buns forming them so that the seam is on the bottom and place in 2 buttered pie pans.

Cover and let rise again until doubled, about an hour.

Preheat oven to 350º. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then remove from oven and brush the tops with melted butter.

Hawaiian Rolls

dry yeast

butter (at room temperature, plus extra for brushing rolls)

vanilla extract

bread flour

Grease 2 9x13-inch pans. Set aside.

In a small saucepan, heat pineapple juice over medium-low temperature until juice reaches about 105 F.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, stir together yeast and 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Once the pineapple juice is at temperature, add to the bowl. Stir, and let the yeast mixture stand for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.

Once the yeast is foamy, add the remaining sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and eggs; stir to combine.

Switch from the paddle attachment to the dough hook, and add 3 cups of flour and salt. Stir on low.

Continue adding flour 1/2 cup at a time until dough clears the sides of the bowl. The dough will feel slightly sticky. It takes 5 1/2 cups of flour for my rolls.

Once the dough comes together and clears the sides, continue to knead for about 1 minute.

Cover bowl with plastic wrap, and let it rise until dough has doubled in size, about 1 ½ hours.

Shape dough into rolls. If you would like smaller, dinner-sized rolls, shape into 24 rolls. If you would like larger, bun-sized rolls, shape into 12-18 rolls depending on desired size.

Place half of the rolls in each pan.

Cover rolls with plastic wrap, and let rolls rise until doubled, about 1 ½ hours.

Toward the end of the second rise, preheat oven to 350 F.

Bake rolls for about 20 minutes (for dinner-sized rolls), or until rolls are golden brown.

Immediately brush rolls with butter.

Serve warm or at room temperature.

Moist, fluffy Hawaiian Sweet Rolls are a staple you will want to use for all your weekday meals. Whether you use them for sliders, sides, or just eat them as-is like me, they will be gone in no time with how sweet and buttery-soft they are!

Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

milk ((warm))

instant yeast

Pineapple Juice

butter (softened)

Flour

egg egg wash)

In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix together your yeast, milk, and sugar. Allow the yeast mixture to sit for about 5 minutes or until it becomes frothy.

Once the yeast is ready, add in your butter, vanilla, egg, pineapple juice, 2 cups flour, and salt. Using the dough hook attachment, mix oh low speed to bring the dough together, about 5 minutes.  **You should have a sticky dough at this point, you may want to add more flour in 1/4 cup increments with the mixer on medium-low speed.**

Once all the ingredients have come together and you have the desired dough consistency, increase the mixer speed to a medium-high speed and mix for about 3-4 minutes to develop gluten. The dough will pull away from the sides of the bowl but still be pretty sticky. Continue to mix until the dough is smooth.

Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with pan spray. Let the dough rise until doubled, about 2 hour or so.

Once the dough has doubled in size punch the dough down in the bowl and then split into 12 equal pieces and form into balls.

Grease a 9x13 pan and place the rolls in the pan. Cover with plastic wrap, sprayed with pan spray again, and let rise until doubled again.

When the rolls are almost doubled, preheat the oven to 350°

Combine the egg yolk and water together and brush egg wash over the top of the rolls. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve warm or room temperature.

Sweet Roll Cheesecake Danishes 

Package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)

butter, melted

brown sugar

cinnamon

nutmeg, optional

cream cheese, room temperature

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and grease a 9x13 baking dish with the 2 tablespoons melted butter.

Separate the rolls and cut an X into the top each one, careful not to cut through the bottom. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to widen the hole, making room for the filling. Arrange rolls evenly in the baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the ½ cup melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and stir until smooth. Pour mixture over the rolls.

In another small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then stir in the sugar and egg.

Transfer cream cheese mixture into a piping bag or large ziplock with the corner snipped. Starting at the base of the hole, fill the rolls to the top with the cheesecake mixture. Alternatively, you can spoon the filling into the rolls, but we’ve found the bag method works best.

Bake rolls for 14-16 minutes. Serve warm.

Stir the warm water and yeast together in a large mixing bowl, then set aside until foamy (about 10 minutes).

Add the pineapple juice, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla and whisk to combine.

Stir in the flour, about 1/2 cup at a time, until a stiff dough forms and pulls away cleanly from the sides of the bowl.

Knead the dough until it passes the windowpane test,** (about 10 to 15 minutes).

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and allow it to rise in a warm place until doubled in volume (about 1 hour).

Punch down the dough and divide it into 15 equal portions (about 65 grams each).

Shape the rolls and place them in a 9x13-inch greased baking dish that&#039;s been lined with parchment paper.

Cover the rolls with a sheet of greased plastic wrap (if making overnight rolls, place them in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours).

Allow the rolls to rise in a warm place (if making overnight rolls, remove them from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature first) until doubled in volume (about 1 hour).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Bake the Hawaiian rolls until puffed and golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.

The BEST Cheeseburger Sliders

Hawaiian Rolls (1 package of Kings Hawaiian Rolls)

beef (or 2 lbs for thicker burgers)

black pepper

Preheat your oven to 375°.

Take the white tray of buns out of the bag packaging (if using King&#39;s Hawaiian Rolls).

Using parchment paper, unroll enough paper to make it the size of the tray that the rolls come in. Cut the parchment paper to the size of the tray of rolls.

Set the tray of rolls aside and place raw ground beef on parchment paper and flatten to the size of the parchment paper.(Tip: Ground beef can &quot;shrink&quot; when cooking so if desired, you can spread/flatten it out a little over the edges to help it fit the buns, even if it shrinks!) This will make the ground beef a rectangular shape, when spread close to the sides of the parchment paper. NOTE: You&#39;re using the parchment paper as a guide to know what size to flatten the ground beef to so it can fit nicely on the rolls after cooking. If you prefer a thicker burger patty, you may want to use 2 lbs of ground beef, just know that it may have a longer bake time than instructed in the recipe card.

Season ground beef with seasoned salt and pepper. (Amounts given in recipe card, or you can use your desired amount!)

Now place parchment paper and ground beef rectangle in to rimmed baking sheet or cake pan.

Bake at 375° for 15-17  minutes or until juices run clear on the top.

While ground beef is baking, this is a great time to make the garlic butter and prep your rolls.

In small microwavable dish, melt butter and then add in garlic salt. Stir to combine, and set aside.

Garlic Butter Topping

Using a bread knife, and keeping the sides of the 12 rolls connected... cut the rolls in half, long ways, creating a giant top layer and bottom bun layer. This way you can easily place the rectangle ground beef layer, once fully cooked, on top of bottom full layer of buns. (No need to try and build 12 individual sliders when it can all be done in one step.)

Roll Prep

Once the ground beef has finished baking (and juices are running clear) remove the pan from oven. (TIP: You can leave the oven on if you prefer, to toast buns in the next few steps.)

Carefully, with a large spatula, pick up beef and tilt to drain excess grease back in to the pan.

Then, place bottom layer of rolls, upside down on top of beef, and flip and transfer burgers to a clean baking sheet. This will result in the ground beef and bottom layer or rolls on the new baking sheet with the parchment paper facing up. (See images in blog post for tips!)

Remove the parchment paper and throw paper away.

Place 6 slices of cheese on top of ground beef. (we use American but you can use your favorite kind).

Then, place the top bun layer on top of the cheese.

Using a basting brush, brush the top of the buns with the garlic butter you have prepared.

Place the baking tray of assembled sliders in a 375° oven, for 3-4 minutes or until cheese has melted and tops are golden brown.

Optional: You can wrap the sliders in aluminum foil after coming out of the oven, so they will &quot;steam&quot; a bit.

Remove from oven (careful, HOT!) and you can now cut the burgers in to sliders by using a pizza cutter (my favorite) or by cutting on the lines with a knife.

Preheat the oven to 350˚F.

Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the top of the rolls are golden brown and the filling is piping hot throughout.
