Whenever you need a quick, healthy, high-protein snack, reach for these Gluten-Free Quinoa Crackers! They're a cinch to make, are extra crispy and go with all your favorite dips!

Gluten-Free Quinoa Crackers

quinoa flour

chickpea flour

hemp seeds

Italian herb seasoning

garlic powder

fine sea salt

olive oil

raw honey

water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Add the flours to a dry saute pan and toast on low heat until golden brown, about 3 - 4 minutes.

Transfer the flour to a food processor and add the hemp seeds and seasonings.

With the food processor running, add the olive oil, honey and 1 tablespoon of water. Add the remaining water one tablespoon at a time until you have a thick, pliable dough. (mine used 7 additional tablespoons)

Shape the dough into a rectangle and place it between two pieces of parchment paper. Roll the dough between the two pieces of paper until it’s about ⅛” thick. Remove the top layer of paper and transfer the other piece (carefully!) to a baking sheet.

With a pizza cutter, slice the dough into squares. Make them whatever size you like, they’re your crackers after all! Prick with the fork so they don't bubble.

Bake the crackers in the warmed oven for about 15 - 20 minutes, or until they start to brown. The outer crackers will cook faster, so feel free to remove them first (maybe after about 11 minutes) until the others were done.

Remove crackers from the oven and cool completely before breaking apart.* Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy!

Alouette Le Bon Dip

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Pulse the flour, thyme, pepper, salt, sugar, and olive oil in the food processor until evenly distributed.

Add the water and pulse just until the dough starts to stick together (about 10 seconds). Remove the dough, press together gently with your hands to form a single ball, and cut into four pieces. Let the dough rest for about ten minutes.

Roll out each individual piece of dough as thin as you possibly can. If the dough starts to shrink up, let it rest a little longer. You want the dough to get very, very thin. Once it’s rolled, place it on a piece of parchment paper and transfer to a baking sheet.

Bake for 4-5 minutes, but check periodically to make sure it’s not getting too brown &#8211; flip each cracker piece and bake another 4-5 minutes. Turn the oven off and let the crackers sit in the oven for 1-2 hours to really dry out and get crispy.

Break into pieces and serve with ALouette Le Bon Dip or Le Petite Fromage and a glass of wine for a perfect snack or happy hour treat!

I just looooove a night full of crackers, cheese, wine, and me stuffing my face with all three. The first time I had alouette was years ago when my Dad brought home a container and told me not to eat the whole thing before he had some. HAHAHAHAHA oh Dad. It really is great for a fancy cheese dip on a great antipasto board and it's so easy! I've never made my own crackers before but I must admit these seem basically foolproof and worth a try!

I am going to make these!  I love crackers but hate they are made with Palm Oil leading to deforestation!! Know I won't have to worry about that.

Hi Kristin. I, however, have the opposite question: How do I get MORE bubbles, like on the picture attached to the post?
I get the bubbles if I deep fry the dough, but I don't want so much fat in them.

Almond Flour

Golden Flax Meal

Coconut Flour

Unsalted Butter (melted)

Preheat your oven to 160C/340F.

In a large mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients and mix well.

Add the wet ingredients and mix to a sticky dough.

Roll the dough out between 2 pieces of parchment paper to 5mm/0.25in thick.

Prick with a fork and use a pizza cutter to mark out your cracker squares.

Bake for 15 minutes, then carefully break along the line, and spread the crackers out so they are not touching. You may need another tray to do this.

Bake for another 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the tray.

Once cooled, enjoy or store in an airtight jar.
