Gluten-Free Quinoa Crackers

quinoa flour

chickpea flour

hemp seeds

Italian herb seasoning

garlic powder

fine sea salt

olive oil

raw honey

water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Add the flours to a dry saute pan and toast on low heat until golden brown, about 3 - 4 minutes.

Transfer the flour to a food processor and add the hemp seeds and seasonings.

With the food processor running, add the olive oil, honey and 1 tablespoon of water. Add the remaining water one tablespoon at a time until you have a thick, pliable dough. (mine used 7 additional tablespoons)

Shape the dough into a rectangle and place it between two pieces of parchment paper. Roll the dough between the two pieces of paper until it’s about ⅛” thick. Remove the top layer of paper and transfer the other piece (carefully!) to a baking sheet.

With a pizza cutter, slice the dough into squares. Make them whatever size you like, they’re your crackers after all! Prick with the fork so they don't bubble.

Bake the crackers in the warmed oven for about 15 - 20 minutes, or until they start to brown. The outer crackers will cook faster, so feel free to remove them first (maybe after about 11 minutes) until the others were done.

Remove crackers from the oven and cool completely before breaking apart.* Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy!

These easy homemade flatbread crackers are super adaptable and they are the perfect pair for cheese and wine. Crispy, real food, snacking perfection!

Easy Homemade Flatbread Crackers

all purpose flour

herbs

black pepper (more or less

salt

sugar

Alouette Le Bon Dip

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Pulse the flour, thyme, pepper, salt, sugar, and olive oil in the food processor until evenly distributed.

Add the water and pulse just until the dough starts to stick together (about 10 seconds). Remove the dough, press together gently with your hands to form a single ball, and cut into four pieces. Let the dough rest for about ten minutes.

Roll out each individual piece of dough as thin as you possibly can. If the dough starts to shrink up, let it rest a little longer. You want the dough to get very, very thin. Once it’s rolled, place it on a piece of parchment paper and transfer to a baking sheet.

Bake for 4-5 minutes, but check periodically to make sure it’s not getting too brown – flip each cracker piece and bake another 4-5 minutes. Turn the oven off and let the crackers sit in the oven for 1-2 hours to really dry out and get crispy.

Break into pieces and serve with ALouette Le Bon Dip or Le Petite Fromage and a glass of wine for a perfect snack or happy hour treat!

Look at you MISS FANCY! This is perfect! I was just regretting a cracker purchase from yesterday that had about 13 more ingredients than it needed to...so this will be just a DANDY addition <3 and totes impressive for those friend partayyys...oh hey guys...yeah I just kinda MADE these crackers and boom...awesome cheese. =best friend status

thaaaaaanks :)

I just looooove a night full of crackers, cheese, wine, and me stuffing my face with all three. The first time I had alouette was years ago when my Dad brought home a container and told me not to eat the whole thing before he had some. HAHAHAHAHA oh Dad. It really is great for a fancy cheese dip on a great antipasto board and it's so easy! I've never made my own crackers before but I must admit these seem basically foolproof and worth a try!

Insert every superlative that describes gorgeous food here ---> . Now that we have that out of the way, is there any chance you can describe the process that led you to be in possession of that bowl? I started coveting it after you posted your California Grape Salad, and now I'm in #obsessed mode.

Hi There
I just made these, they were lovely.. Also rolled out one ball and cooked on a skillet to make a normal flat bread, worked well, thanks for the recipe

You are really doing a good job here. Please keep it up.

I am going to make these! I love crackers but hate they are made with Palm Oil leading to deforestation!! Know I won't have to worry about that.

Hi Kristin. I, however, have the opposite question: How do I get MORE bubbles, like on the picture attached to the post?
I get the bubbles if I deep fry the dough, but I don't want so much fat in them.

These Keto Graham Crackers are crunchy and sweet with that distinctive cinnamon flavor. Use them to make Keto Smores and they also make a delicious pie or cheesecake crust!

Keto Graham Crackers

Almond Flour

Golden Flax Meal

Sukrin Gold

Coconut Flour

Cinnamon (ground)

Vanilla Essence

Unsalted Butter (melted)

Preheat your oven to 160C/340F.

In a large mixing bowl, add the dry ingredients and mix well.

Add the wet ingredients and mix to a sticky dough.

Roll the dough out between 2 pieces of parchment paper to 5mm/0.25in thick.

Prick with a fork and use a pizza cutter to mark out your cracker squares.

Bake for 15 minutes, then carefully break along the line, and spread the crackers out so they are not touching. You may need another tray to do this.

Bake for another 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the tray.

Once cooled, enjoy or store in an airtight jar.

These Easy Homemade Graham Crackers are crunchy, lightly sweetened, and packed with whole grains! You only need 6 simple ingredients. This recipe is nut-free and can easily be made vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free!

Homemade Graham Crackers

¼ Cup Softened Grass Fed Butter (see note 1 for dairy-free option)

⅓ Cup Honey (or Pure Maple Syrup)

¼ tsp Pink Himalayan Salt

1½ Cups White Whole Wheat Flour + extra for rolling (see note 3 for gluten-free option)

tsp Baking Soda

1½ Tbs Cold Water

Homemade 100% whole wheat cheese crackers that are even better than store bought! Just blend everything together, roll out and bake. Only 5 ingredients!

Whole Wheat Cheese Crackers

cheddar cheese (grated)

butter

whole wheat flour (or whole spelt flour)

onion powder

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, and run until it forms a ball. It should take about two minutes.

Then you can roll it out (I do it between two Silpats) or refrigerate it for about 30 minutes so that it'll be easier to handle. You can also roll it out on a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough to about an eighth of an inch. I like to sprinkle mine with some table salt, but I like them really salty.

Cut shapes however you wish, and then with a skewer, prick a small hole in the middle to prevent them from puffing up.

Spread them out on a piece of parchment paper or on a Silpat, leaving just a little room for them to grow.

Baking time will depend on the size of your shapes, but my mock Cheez-its took 8 minutes. They should just be turning brown at the edges. My elephants took around 13 minutes.

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

I just made these for the first time and they came out amazing! I used bento cutters to cut them into little animal cracker shapes and my three year olds gobbled them up as fast as I could bake them. The only substitution I made was the onion powder. I didn't have any so I used a bit of tzatziki seasoning mix instead. They were so delicious. I'm using the past tense because they are all long gone already.

I found this recipe while perusing your website. I've made these twice and printed your recipe for a friend. I am so happy to find a good recipe I can make at home so I don't have to worry about food coloring and additives in the store bought kind. I used sorghum and rice flour and they turned out fantastic!!! Thanks for the terrific recipe, Amy!!

Thanks for this recipe! So simple! My 19 month old is allergic to all grains so I subbed chick pea flour. I also used his favorite mozzarella cheese and alphabet cookie cutters. I left out the garlic powder as he has many other food allergies so I wanted to keep it simple. They turned out great! He's never had "real" crackers before because of his food allergies.

I'm reading this, thinking that also other flavorings like pizza or sour cream and onion or herbs and spices could be added too.. like hot with cruched red pepper and salt... even garlicy ones with white cheddar and parmesean....

I can't wait to make the recipe.... I was recently informed that store bought cheese crackers have in a nasty preservative that is really bad for us...
