Also known as Seven Layer Cookies, these gooey treats combine coconut, chocolate chips, pecans, and a graham cracker base.

Hello Dolly Bars Recipe

(2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

(about a 13 1/2 ounce box) graham cracker crumbs

(about 12 ounces) dark or semisweet chocolate chips

(about 8 ounces) pecans, roughly chopped

coconut flake

sweetened condensed milk

Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350°F. Combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Press evenly into bottom of baking dish.

Top crust with chocolate chips, followed by pecans and finally the coconut. Drizzle with condensed milk. Bake until any crust visible is golden brown and coconut begins to toast, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely. To cut easily, let sit in refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Cut into 12 bars. Bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, though especially if your kitchen runs hot, they are safest kept in the fridge.

graham cracker crumbs

sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)

chocolate chips

butterscotch chips

coconut flakes

walnuts

Optional, reserve 1 - 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk.

Mix together graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, and press firmly onto the bottom of a parchment lined or greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.

Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk evenly all over the graham cracker crumbs.

Layer the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut flakes and walnuts and press down firmly. Drizzle remaining sweetened condensed milk over top, if desired.

Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, until coconut has started to turn a golden brown.  Allow to cool completely before cutting.

Crush graham crackers in the sleeve, using a food processor, or rolling pin. Mix with melted butter and pour mixture into a greased 8’’ square baking dish.

Sprinkle crust with chocolate chips, then butterscotch chips, chopped heath bars, nuts and coconut. Pour sweetened condensed evenly over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool before serving. (I like to refrigerate mine for a few hours before serving so they are easier to get out of the pan, to cut and hold the “layers” better.)
