Eggnog, quintessential Christmas cocktail is filled with spiced rum, bourbon, lots of creamy goodness, and it&#x27;s a thousand times better than anything store-bought.

Eggnog Recipe

eggs

sugar (200 grams)

vanilla paste

bourbon (235 milliliters)

spiced rum (118 milliliters)

cream (235 milliliters)

whole milk (470 milliliters)

cinnamon

nutmeg

Separate eggs yolks and egg whites.

In the egg yolk bowl, combine sugar and vanilla paste. Whisk together.

Add bourbon and rum. Whisk until combined.

Add cream and whole milk.

Whisk, then refrigerate.

Whip egg whites.

Fold whipped egg whites into mixture and serve.

Add a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg.

If using larger cocktail glasses or rocks glasses, serve over ice.

In a large pitches or a large punch bowl, stir together lemonade concentrate and cranberry juice cocktail.

Just before serving, stir in the club soda. Serve over ice.

If desired add fresh fruit to the Christmas Punch. Garnish the glasses with fresh mint sprigs, fresh cranberries, or other fresh fruit slices or wedges.

This eggnog is ultra creamy and rich, thick, sweet, and lightly spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve chilled, or warmed as a vegan eggnog latte.

Easy Vegan Eggnog

almonds (soaked overnight)

raw cashews (soaked overnight)

coconut flakes (soaked overnight)

water

tsp nutmeg

tsp sea salt

medjool dates (pits removed)

bourbon ((optional))

Soak almonds, raw cashews and coconut flakes overnight. Or to speed up time, pour boiling water over bowl of mixed nuts and let soak for 1-2 hours. Strain and rise. Add soaked nut mix to blender with water, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt and dates. Blend on high for 1 minute.

Pour mixture into a nut milk bag and squeeze to strain the milk. (Alternatively you can use a thin tea towel, old t-shirt or pair of tights). Continue to squeeze, moving your hands around the bag to allow new areas to be milked, until you can no longer milk anymore liquid.

Pour the freshly squeezed egg nog from your bowl back into your blender (this allows for easy transfer into a bottle). Transfer the egg nog into an air tight bottle and store in the fridge. Serve chilled, or warm for a latte style drink. Optional to add a splash of dark liquor (bourbon, brandy or cognac) for a spiked version.

Cranberry Old Fashioned

oz cranberry simple syrup

To make the cranberry simple syrup

In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring all simple syrup ingredients to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to a simmer; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until sugar is dissolved, cranberries have burst and mixture is very slightly thick and red in color. Remove from heat; steep mixture for another 10 minutes, then use a fine-mesh sieve to strain syrup into a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Cool completely at room temperature, then store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

To make one cocktail: Add bourbon, cranberry simple syrup and bitters to a cocktail glass; stir for 10 to 15 seconds, then top off with ice. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a twist of orange.
