In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, melted butter, and sugar.

Sprinkle the yeast evenly over the wet ingredients, stir to combine, and let stand for 5 minutes, until foamy

In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt, and stir to combine. Beat 1 egg, then add to the bloomed yeast mixture. Pour the wet ingredients into the flour and use a knife to stir until the mixture just comes together and forms a dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth. Add more flour as needed to keep the dough from sticking. To test if it’s done, tear off a small piece of dough and stretch into a thin layer. If the dough doesn’t rip, it’s ready. Or, press a finger into the dough to see if it bounces back.

Lightly grease a large glass bowl with oil. Add the dough, cover with plastic wrap, and let rest for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough, then turn out onto a floured surface. Knead for a few more minutes, just until the dough is smooth, about 2 minutes.

Divide the dough into 16 equal balls, roughly the size of tangerines.

Knead the balls, gathering the edges of the dough toward the center to make a taut, round ball with a smooth top.

Place the rolls on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes.

Beat the remaining egg in a small bowl. Uncover the rolls and brush with the egg wash. Lightly sprinkle the rolls with sea salt.

These were amazing! I had my husband work on these for Christmas dinner while I made other things and he griped at the number of dishes this requires but the end product was great! He cut into 16 rolls instead of 15 because that's much easier to make them even sized rolls, just keep halving your dough.

I've made these twice now in a weeks span and I'm about to make my third batch tonight because my kids keep eating through them like candy. I usually love changing up a recipe to really satisfy some specific craving someone in the house has but these are perfect as is in our book! They are easy enough to make for a weeknight dinner but taste delicious enough to compliment a fancy feast. These might have to be my new go to.

I tried this tonight with dinner. It didnt turn out soft and fluffy and was more like a biscuit then a bun. Would try it with a bread flour maybe instead of all purpose.

I made these tonight and they were GREAT. I followed the recipe exactly, except I ended up microwaving my milk for an additional 20 seconds after using a thermometer to check the temp after the first round of 40 seconds. I also covered the rolls with tinfoil at 20 minutes to keep the tops from getting too dark while they finished baking. The only thing I would change next time is maybe putting a little bit more cheese in the dough, and maybe some chopped garlic as well. Overall an amazing recipe and very easy to follow for inexperienced-bread bakers like myself!

Warm the milk to 110F then pour into bowl of stand mixer and add half the sugar, and the yeast. Cover and set aside for 7 minutes. Melt butter while waiting.

Add the melted butter, egg, half the flour, 195g or about 1 and 1/2 cups, remaining sugar, and the salt.

Whisk together and scrape the bowl down then add the remaining flour and mix on medium using your dough hook until the dough comes together in a ball 2-3 minutes.

Continue mixing for about 2 minutes to knead the dough then finish off by hand until smooth and bounces back when pressed.

place in oiled bowl, cover with plastic and place in a warm place to rise for 1.5-2 hours or until doubled in size.

turn out onto your counter then press down and divide into 15-16 pieces.

Pinch the corners together so one side is smooth and rounded then turn upside down so the smooth side is facing up.

Cup the ball with your hands and move in a tight circular motion. This will pull the edge down and in creating a nice roll.

Place on a buttered 9x13 baking dish, or a few cake pans then cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise another hour.

Preheat the oven to 350F/180C.

Bake for about 20 minutes on the lower rack. Once baked brush with melted butter and enjoy.

This Sweet Dinner Rolls Recipe makes soft &amp; fluffy rolls that are so easy to make from scratch! Baking with yeast can be easy, and this dinner roll recipe will be one that you will make time and time again.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

2 1/4 – 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

(2-1/4 tsp.) packet Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 cup milk (whole, 2%, 1%

1/4 cup water

Combine 1 cup flour, dry yeast and salt in bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and stir until blended. Combine milk, water, butter, and honey in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments until very warm but not hot to the touch (120°F &#8211; 130°F). Add to flour mixture.

Mix for 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Add in 1/2 cup more flour mix for 2 more minutes on high speed. Stir in just enough of the remaining flour (3/4 to 1 cup) so that the dough will form into a ball.

Replace the paddle attachment for the dough hook attachment and mix on medium speed for 6-8 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic and springs back when lightly pressed with 2 fingers. Alternately you can do this step by hand, kneading the dough on a lightly floured surface for 6-8 minutes. Cover with a towel and let rest for 10 minutes.

Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into balls using your hands. Place in greased 8-inch round or square pan. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise in a warm place, until they&#8217;re doubled in size, about 30 minutes.

Bake rolls in preheated 375ºF oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

For the topping combine the butter and honey in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds until butter is melted. Mix together and brush the melted honey butter on warm rolls.

Set aside in a warm place for 5 minutes and allow to foam up. This is called &quot;proofing&quot;.

Beat milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and egg in the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.

Stir in 1/2 cup of flour.

Add the yeast mixture.

Add 1/4 cup of the butter and the salt and mix well.

Add 1 1/2 cups of flour and beat until smooth.

Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth about 6-8 minutes or knead in your stand with the dough hook mixer according to manufacturer&#39;s instructions - usually about 2-3 minutes.

Put the dough in a greased bowl. Grease the top and cover it with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel or tea towel.

Allow to rise in a warm spot for about an hour, or until doubled.

Punch dough down.

Spray muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Roll into 72 equal sized balls for 24 rolls.

Dip the balls in the remaining melted butter and place three in each greased muffin cup.

Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.

Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Brush with melted butter.

Serve with butter or honey butter.

Take half of the butter and slice it as thin as you can, add the slices to the bottom of a stand mixer. Add the sugar and salt to the mixer.

Warm the milk in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave in 15 second intervals. It should be 105-110°F (do not warm to over 110°F). Pour 1 cup of the warm milk into the bowl with the butter, no need to stir, just let it sit.

Add the yeast to the remaining 1/4 cup milk and give it a stir. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until foamy. Add this mixture to the mixer, along with the beaten egg.

Using the hook attachment, start stirring in the flour 1 cup at a time, scraping down the sides as needed. Do this until you&#39;ve added 3 &amp; 1/2 cups of flour. Once the mixture resembles a dough, turn the speed to medium-high and start to knead it. If it doesn’t start to clean the sides of the bowl, add a little more flour at a time (up to a 1/2 cup) until the sides of the bowl are clean - if the dough is still attached at the very bottom of the bowl, that’s okay. Knead for 3 minutes.

In a large bowl, add the vegetable oil and swirl it around. Take the dough out of the mixer and add it to the bowl with the oil, turn it around in the oil so it is coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Melt the remaining 1/4 cup of butter. Brush a 9x13 baking dish with some of the butter (you will only need a small amount). Set aside.

Punch down the dough to release the air bubbles. Divide the dough into 15 sections. (I like to weigh the dough then divide by 15 to see how many ounces each roll should be and make sure they&#39;re uniform in size.)

Take each dough ball with your hands and stretch it out, tuck the ends of the dough around itself to form a smooth ball and pinch the seams together, gently roll it between your hands to form a ball.

Place the balls seam side down into the prepared baking dish, 5 rows of 3 rolls. Cover again with plastic wrap and let them double in size, about 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Take the plastic wrap off the baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the tops are golden brown and when tapped the rolls sound hollow. Immediately brush the rest of the butter all over the hot rolls.Let cool and serve.

Cover bowl and set aside to rise in a warm place until double in size, about 1-2 hours. If you want to expedite the rising process, heat the oven to 200 degrees, turn off the oven, and place the oven-safe bowl to rise until double in size.

Once the dough is doubled, roll into small balls, about 16 - 20 depending on size preference. Place on greased or buttered baking sheet, close together to ensure the rolls rise upward and not spread, and brush rolls with softened butter. Cover and set aside to rise for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bake for 14 - 18 minutes or until golden brown. Brush rolls with remaining melted butter.

Serve warm or store in air-tight container.
