Sticky honey garlic meatballs are a delicious and flavourful 30-minute meal to add to your weekly dinner rotation. A total crowd pleaser.

Sticky Honey Garlic Meatballs

beef

breadcrumbs

onion, finely chopped

green onions, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)

1 egg

soy sauce

brown sugar

garlic powder

salt

black pepper

sesame seeds (for garnish)

cup rice vinegar

liquid honey

garlic, minced

cornstarch (or flour)

tablespoons water

In a large mixing bowl, combine beef with bread crumbs, onion, green onions, egg, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.  Mix well to form into a uniform consistency.

Take 2 spoonfuls of beef mixture at a time and roll into 1.5-inch thick meatballs. Transfer the meatballs into a large half sheet baking pan lined with parchment paper and lightly coat with some oil to keep them from sticking, if needed.

Bake for 15 minutes until fully cooked, and set aside. The internal temperature should reach 160F, as read on a meat thermometer.

Prepare the Meatballs:

In a medium mixing bowl, add vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic, cornstarch and water. Whisk well to combine until cornstarch and sugar dissolves.

In a shallow saucepan, stir in sauce mixture and heat over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Keep stirring until thickened to a desired consistency.

Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce:

Add the meatballs to the saucepan and toss well to coat evenly. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds and serve warm on its own or over a bowl of steamed rice or fried rice. 

Serve:

This recipe is definitely a keeper and will be added to my rotation. I halved the meatballs but made the full sauce recipe. I served with rice, sautéed zucchini, and pickled shaved carrots. Delicious!

First recipe I've made on this site.  Easy with excellent flavour.  So good I've saved to make sure I have it the next time.

Crockpot Honey Garlic Meatballs

lb fully cooked frozen meatballs (beef, chicken, pork, turkey, veggie)

honey

ketchup

olive oil

garlic garlic

onion

red pepper flakes

Pour the frozen meatballs into the basin of a 6 quart slow cooker.

In a medium bowl, add the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, garlic, onion and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2.5-3 hours or LOW for 4-6 hours.

Stir and serve. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired.

Easy Crockpot Honey Garlic Meatballs (5-Ingredient Recipe)

Honey BBQ sauce

garlic (minced)

Mix together the brown sugar, honey, honey BBQ sauce, and garlic in a medium bowl.

Dump the meatballs into the crockpot and pour the sauce over, stirring to coat all of the meatballs.

Cook on low for 4 hours, stirring every hour or so.

These juicy baked Honey Garlic Meatballs are covered in a delicious sweet and savory sauce. They are also perfect for meal prep.

Honey Garlic Glazed Meatballs

breadcrumbs panko breadcrumbs

eggs, mixed

dry herbs and spices, optional

butter

2-4 garlic cloves,

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk until all the milk is absorbed by the breadcrumbs.

Combine all the ingredients for the meatballs together.

Form small meatballs, about 1 Tablespoon each and place on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 12-14 minutes in the preheated oven. Don't overcook the meatballs, or they will become tough.

Meanwhile, make the sauce. In a medium pot or deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Add the garlic and cook about 30 seconds. (Be careful not to burn the garlic.)

Add the rest of the ingredients (honey, ketchup and soy sauce), mixing until all the ingredients are evenly combined. Simmer for about 5 min.

Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for about 7 - 10 minutes, at a simmer, until cooked through.

Bake the meatballs ahead of time. Store in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, make the sauce, then add the meatballs and cook just until heated through.

You can even freeze the meatballs. Simply place in the freezer in a single layer until frozen solid and place in a Ziploc bag or plastic container.

Thaw the meatballs and continue with the recipe. The sauce takes no time at all to make, so I usually make it on the spot, but you can make it ahead of time also.
