This delicious soup has ingredients that may help boost your immune system. It&#x27;s full of antioxidants, fiber, too. Hot soup is known to help clear your sinuses, as well.

Immunity Soup

olive oil (extra virgin)

C onion (sweet, chopped)

celery (chopped)

carrots (large, sliced)

fennel (chopped)

mushrooms

garlic

C chicken stock

thyme (stems removed)

bay leaves

chickpeas (15 oz, rinsed and drained)

chicken breasts (about 2 pounds total, skinless, bone-in)

tsp kosher salt

oz kale (curly, large stems removed)

C parsley (chopped)

Begin by adding olive oil to a stockpot over medium heat.

Add the onions, carrots, fennel, and celery to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the celery and onions are soft.

Add garlic and mushrooms and cook for about another five minutes. Your kitchen will now smell heavenly. 

Add stock to the pot and stir.

Add thyme leaves and bay leaf and lower heat to simmer. 

Add chicken, kosher salt, and chickpeas to the pot and cook for about 30 minutes.

Take chicken breasts out of the soup and set aside to cool. Remove bay leaves.

Cut up or shred chicken and throw away the bones. Add chicken back to soup for about 15 minutes to warm chicken.

Add kale and simmer the soup for about five minutes.

Serve hot with a bowl of fresh parsley on the table for each person to add as much as they'd like.

Add all of the ingredients to a blender...

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Taste for flavor, and add a small amount of honey if desired.

This will kill any bug you have lurking around, we are pretty confident. It may even strip the polish from furniture as another tip! Fight off the flu

Thermomix recipe: Fire Cider Tonic

Grams ginger

Grams Fresh Turmeric roughly chopped

Pineapple-fresh peeled, cored and diced

Orange, sliced thinly

Lemon, sliced thinly

Fresh jalapenos, halved lengthways

Milliliters Apple Cider Vinegar

water

Place ginger, turmeric and half the pineapple into the Thermomix bowl and chop *4 sec/speed 6*. Pour into a 2 litre glass jar.

In the jar, add the orange, lemon, jalapenos and remaining pineapple, then top with apple cider vinegar and water. Make sure you place a piece of baking paper on top of the jar opening before closing with a metal lid. This stuff is strong!

Keep refrigerated and serve heavily diluted to taste with sparkling water or hot water to create a tea.

To make immunity tea, put 1 small ice cube into a mug and fill with boiling hot water. You can add more cubes for a stronger immunity boost. 

Water chestnut and asparagus sautéed with chilli, garlic, and ginger that is packed with ani-inflammatory properties and antioxidants.

Water Chestnut Immunity Boosting Stir-Fry

water chestnuts

asparagus

tsp ginger (minced)

red birds eye chilli (minced)

tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

water (room temperature)

brown sugar

tsp chilli oil

Cut the asparagus into 3 equal parts, leaving 1/2 an inch off the bottom of stem (we&#39;ll not be using this hard part of the stem, you may dispose it or keep it in a container to make vegetable broth another time)

Slice the water chestnuts sideways to create thin, oblong shaped pieces of water chestnuts. Place this with the asparagus in a medium sized bowl.

In the Meyer Nonstick Chef’s Pan, add 1 tbsp of sesame oil and heat this over medium to low heat.

Add the garlic, ginger and chilli. Sauté this until fragrant using a wooden spatula.

Add the water chestnuts and asparagus and stir-fry for about half a minute.

Add the seasoning and sauté together until the sauce has fully incorporated with the vegetables, and the sugar has dissolved and thickened the sauce.
