An easy Indian Breakfast Idea, besan ka chilla is made with simple ingredients and stuffed with paneer filling.

Besan Ka Chilla With Paneer Filling

Beasan (Chickpea flour)

water

salt

tsp red chilli powder (or

tsp amchur powder

tsp jeera powder

tsp garam masala

paneer (grated

Black pepper crushed (as per taste)

tbsp oil (plus extra to make chila)

In a bow; add besan and all the spices. Now add water little at a time and make a free flowing batter. It should not be very thick neither very watery.

In a pan heat oil and add fresh paneer. Once the paneer starts to dizzle add salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 mins. Keep it aside to cool.

Now heat a tawa or a skillet. Smear oil and wipe it off like coating the tawa. Let the tawa cool. This tricks helps so that chilla does not stick.

Now tawa should not be very hot before you put the batter.**see notes.

Take a laddle full of batter. Spread it evenly on the tawa and spread little oil on the sides.

Once you see the sides browning flip and cook on the other side. Like how you would cook a pancake.

Now flip again and put 2-3 tbsp of filling and fold in half.

Enjoy with a cup of tea or juice.

Chilla&#039;s are served best with green coriander chutney.

Easy and comforting breakfast recipe made with flattened rice, onion, peanuts, coconut, lemon and spices.

Avalakki | Easy Lemon Poha Recipe

150 g thin flattened rice (red or white)

g green peas

tbsp cooking oil

tbsp peanuts

urad dal

mustard seeds

curry leaves

green chilies (chopped)

onion

turmeric powder

½ lemon/lime

tbsp cilantro (chopped)

tbsp shredded coconut

Rinse thin flattened rice in cold running water 2-3 times, drain out the water completely and keep aside.

Heat oil in a cooking pan on low-medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to pop. Add urad dal, fry until golden brown and then add peanuts, and fry them until light brown.

Add green chili, chopped onion and a sprig of curry leaves. Sauté until onion becomes translucent.

Add frozen green peas and salt, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until green peas are done. Add turmeric powder, rinsed flattened rice, shredded coconut and give everything a good mix. Turn off the heat and garnish avalakki with cilantro and drizzle of lemon juice. Enjoy yummy avalakki or poha with some curd/yogurt or as is!

Cheese on toast was always a childhood favourite of mine. This takes it to the next level. With or without the egg you have breakfast or lazy dinner!

Thermomix recipe: Indian Chilli Cheese Toast (Eggs Kejriwal)

bread

butter

Teaspoons Yellow Mustard

100 Grams Mature Cheddar Cheese cubed

red chilli

Handful fresh coriander or cilantro leaves

red onion

eggs

pink salt flakes

Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 180° and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Butter bread on both sides and lightly fry in a frypan. Smear one side of the toast with mustard.

Place cheese, chilli,  coriander and onion into the Thermomix bowl and chop *8 sec/speed 8*. Divide the mixture between the toast. Place in the oven for 10 minutes,  or until the cheese is melted.

Meanwhile,  fry the eggs until the white edges are crisp,  but the yolks are still soft.  Slide an egg on top of each toast.

Serve hot with additional chillies on top.
