Low Carb Keto Chocolate Donuts Recipe

Butter ((melted))

Unsweetened almond milk

Eggs

tsp Vanilla extract

Blanched almond flour

Besti Monk Fruit Erythritol Blend

tsp Gluten-free baking powder

Cocoa powder

Sea salt

tsp Xanthan gum

Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Erythritol Blend

Water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Grease a donut pan well.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, almond milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Sift the almond flour, Besti, baking powder, cocoa powder, sea salt, and xanthan gum into the wet ingredients, and mix well.

Transfer the batter evenly into the donut cavities, filling the all the way to the top. Bake for about 20-25 minutes (or longer for a silicone pan!). Cool completely.

Meanwhile, make chocolate glaze. In a small bowl, sift the powdered Besti and cocoa powder together. Add water and vanilla, and mix well.

After donuts have cooled, dip the tops of each donut into the chocolate glaze.

cocoa powder

Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener

xanthan gum

baking powder

baking soda

heavy whipping cream

eggs

vanilla extract

unsalted butter (melted)

milk chocolate baking chips (divided)

coconut oil

keto chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the almond flour, cocoa powder, sugar substitute, xanthan gum, baking powder, baking soda, heavy whipping cream, eggs, vanilla and butter until well combined. Fold in ¼ cup chocolate chips.

Fill the sections of a well greased donut baking pan evenly with the batter.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until cooked through. Let the donuts cool.

Add remaining ½ cup baking chips and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl and heat at 30 second intervals until completely melted and combined.

Dip the top of each donut into the melted chocolate, and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Place the baking sheet into the freezer for several minutes to set before serving.

Keto Chocolate Donuts Recipe

coconut flour

Swerve Sweetener

tbsp egg

tsp baking powder

tsp salt

butter (melted)

tsp vanilla extract

coffee

heavy cream

water coffee

Preheat the oven to 325ºF and grease a donut pan very well.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the coconut flour, sweetener, cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract, then stir in the liquid until well combined.

Divide the batter among the wells of the donut pan. If you have a six-well donut pan, you may need to work in batches.

Bake 16 to 20 minutes, until the donuts are set and firm to the touch. Remove and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then flip out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Donuts

In a medium shallow bowl, whisk together the powdered sweetener and cocoa powder. Add the heavy cream and vanilla and whisk to combine.

Add enough water until the glaze thins out and is of a "dippable" consistency, without being too watery.

Dip the top of each donut into the glaze. Sprinkle with any decorations and let set about 30 minutes.

Chocolate Glaze

These are soooo good!  I've made them several times and they're easy to make.  Adding the coffee to both the recipe and the frosting gives the chocolate flavor an added richness. You'd never know they were Keto. Great recipe! Thank you Carolyn!

These donuts were excellent! I didn’t have whey protein, so I used Naked Goat protein powder. I also only used 2 Tbsp of swerve .
