Seven Layer Magic Bars

graham cracker crumbs

butter

chocolate chips

butterscotch chips

coconut

walnuts

(14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.

Melt butter in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs until throughly combined. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan to form the crust.

Evenly sprinkle remaining ingredients one by one over the crust to form layers, beginning with the chocolate chips, followed by the butterscotch chips, coconut, and walnuts. Pour the condensed milk evenly over the top, and spread with a rubber spatula to make sure it's evenly distributed.

Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden brown and the middle is set.

Allow to cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!

Magic Bars with a Tropical Twist

Golden Oreos (or vanilla sandwich cookies (regular or gluten-free))

unsalted butter (melted)

vanilla white chocolate chips

pineapple

dry roasted macadamia nuts

can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan by lining with foil (shiny side down) or parchment paper, sprayed with non-stick spray. TIP: allow an overhang for easy removal from the pan after baking.

Add the Oreos and melted butter to a food processor and blend until crumbs are fine. They will look like wet sand.

Pour the crumbs into the bottom of the prepared pan and press into the bottom. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes.

While the crust is baking and cooling, chop the dried pineapple into small pieces and blend the macadamia nuts in a food processor until crumbs are formed.

After removing the crust from the oven turn the temperature up to 350 degrees.

Sprinkle nuts along the bottom on top of crust. Follow with 1 cup of the white chocolate chips, then sprinkle with the coconut followed by the pineapple.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.

Decorate the top with the remaining chocolate chips and a little coconut.

Layering the Bars

Bake the bars for 30 minutes, just until the sides are starting to turn golden in color.

Cool completely, then cover with foil and chill in the refrigerator for a few hours. When ready to cut into bars, allow them to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes and then slice and enjoy!

Baking the Magic Bars

These 7 Layer Magic Bars are a very special treat that take just 15 minutes to throw together. You won't be disappointed!

Magic 7 Layer Cookie Bars

Preheat oven to 350. Place butter in 13&#215;9 pan. Place in oven and let butter melt. This takes 5-10 minutes. Just don’t let it burn.

Make sure butter is evenly distributed across bottom of pan.

Sprinkle crumbs evenly over top of butter.

Use your fingers or a knife to pat down evenly to form a good crust.

Now open your can of condensed milk and pour evenly over crumbs. You may need a small spatula to gently spread it but it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Sprinkle the graham cracker crumb mixture with the chips or chopped chocolate, nuts, and last but not least, the coconut.

Cook about 25 minutes until it looks a bit golden around the edges.

These need to cool before cutting. I usually cool them in the refrigerator so I can eat them faster. But there is no need to store them in the fridge. They keep just fine in an airtight container on the counter.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool before serving. (I like to refrigerate mine for a few hours before serving so they are easier to get out of the pan, to cut and hold the “layers” better.)

Easy Magic Bars Recipe

Graham Cracker Crumbs (about 16-18 full sheets)

Salted Butter (melted)

Semisweet Chocolate Chips (or other variety)

White Chocolate Chips (or Butterscotch Chips)

Shredded Coconut (Unsweetened

(14-oz can) Sweetened Condensed Milk

Flaky Sea Salt (to taste)

Prep the pan: Heat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray and line it with PARCHMENT that hangs over two opposite sides to form a sling.

Make the crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the MELTED BUTTER and GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS until the mixture resembles damp sand and holds together when pressed. Press it evenly into the pan.

Start layering: Sprinkle the CHOCOLATE CHIPS, CHOPPED WALNUTS, and SHREDDED COCONUT evenly over the crust, holding back a small scoop of each for topping.

Add condensed milk: Warm the SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK until pourable, then drizzle it evenly over the layers. Sprinkle the reserved toppings and add FLAKY SEA SALT if using.

Bake + cool: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the top is set. Cool completely in the pan.

Lift + store: Use the parchment sling to lift the bars out in one piece, slice into squares, and store at room temperature for up to seven days.
