Roasted Cabbage Steaks - 5 Ingredients

Olive oil

Montreal steak seasoning

Salt

Garlic powder

Pre-heat the over the 400ºF. Rinse the cabbage. Cut off the stems if they are still attached.

Cut the cabbage head in half and then cut each half in half again. In total there should be 4 slices of cabbage that are about 3/4 - 1 inch thick.

Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Generously spread olive oil over the slices. Generously add the salt, garlic powder, and Montreal steak seasoning.

Flip the slices over and repeat the previous step.

Bake for 25 minutes or until the leaves are browned and the center is tender.

Serve and enjoy! Caution, they will be hot right out of the oven.

Montreal Steak Seasoning

peppercorns

Tablespoons smoked paprika (optional, if you want "Smoky Montreal Seasoning")

salt salt

garlic powder

Tablespoon dehydrated onion or onion powder

whole coriander seed

mustard seed

dill

rosemary

red pepper flakes

Combine the peppercorns, salt, and paprika (optional) in a mortar and pestle or spice grinder. Blend until the peppercorns have almost all broken apart. Add in the rest of the seasonings and blend again until well combined.

Transfer to an airtight jar. The flavors are the best if used immediately, but the blend can be stored at room temperature and used for several months.&nbsp; Great on steaks, roasts, burgers, and more!

Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows the term “American” is a term referencing the U.S. and its inhabitants.  While Canada is in North America, it is never referenced as “American.”  Perhaps you need a refresher at that “college” you must have attended because they failed to distinguish the term for you.  Maybe they were spending too much time on other non-essentials.  😆😉

Kevin I want to thank you for your spice blends; my husband is on a low sodium diet due to high blood pressure and thanks to your blends I am able to make tasty meals for us despite having to omit the salt.  I bake everything from scratch, and cook all meals.  Thanks for your inspiration!
