Sour Cream and Beef Noodle Bake

beef

oz egg noodles

15 tomato sauce

sour cream

small curd cottage cheese

shredded cheese

green onions

salt

black pepper

garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Brown beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once it&#x27;s cooked, drain the excess grease.

Stir in tomato sauce, salt, ground pepper and garlic powder. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes.

Cook egg noodles according to package. Drain water.

Stir sour cream, cottage cheese, green onions and black pepper in a bowl. Stir in cook noodles.

Spray casserole dish with non-stick spray. Add half noodle mixture to the bottom of casserole dish. Top with half of the meat mixture. Layer with half of the cheese. Layer again with noodle mixture, meat mixture and then shredded cheese.

Bake 25 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Vintage recipe from First Lady, Jackie Kennedy! This Casserole is creamy easy and incredibly delicious!

Mrs. John F. Kennedy’s Casserole Marie Blanche

½ pound cooked drained noodles ((original recipe : see important notes below!))

cream style cottage cheese ((original recipe : see important notes below!))

sour cream ((original recipe : see important notes below!))

Salt

Pepper

chive (snipped

Tablespoon Butter

Preheat oven to 350°F Combine noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream. salt, pepper and chives. Pour into buttered 2 quart casserole and dot with the 1 tablespoon butter.

Bake about 30 minutes, until noodles begin to brown and casserole is hot and bubbly. Serve immediately.

See notes below for important notes. I increase the cheese and sour cream and decrease the noodles!

Slowly pour the milk and chicken broth mixture into the roux, while whisking constantly. Continue whisking until it reaches a smooth consistency.

Whisk in the dried parsley, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix in the sour cream and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Let it simmer for 4 minutes, while continuing to whisk (or until the cheese is melted and the sauce has thickened a bit).
