Crush OREO cookies in a food processor until finely ground.

Mix room temperature cream cheese with crushed cookies until finely combined.

Use a cookie scoop to form OREO balls. Place them on a baking sheet; refrigerate for 1 hour.

Shape the balls into a cauldron shape by pressing down on the top then use a toothpick to form the top of the cauldron. Freeze for 15 minutes.

Prepare green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.

Use a spoon or piping bag to decorate the top of the cauldron with the melted green chocolate, creating an oozing effect over the sides.

Decorate with candy decorations and a broken pretzel stick.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies ((1 package))

Mix until blended.

Place the white chocolate in a bowl and microwave** in 30 second intervals, stirring, until smooth and melted.&nbsp;

Coat the Oreo balls in the melted white chocolate, and sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs to garnish.

You will love these easy, no-bake Oreo balls! The perfect treats for any party!&nbsp;

Oreo cookies

oz cream cheese (at room temperature)

chocolate melting wafers

Place Oreo cookies in a food processor. Pulse until they are fine cookie crumbs.&nbsp;

Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the cream cheese until it is smooth, about 1 minute. Add the Oreo cookie crumbs and mix until well combined.&nbsp;

Roll the Oreo mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet or tray that has been lined with parchment paper or wax paper. Freeze the Oreo balls for 15 minutes.&nbsp;

Place the chocolate wafers (or candy coating) in a small microwave safe bowl. Place the white chocolate wafers (or candy coating) in a separate small microwave safe bowl. Melt according to instructions on packaging.&nbsp;

Remove the balls from the freezer and dip the balls into the melted chocolate. Make sure you cover the balls completely in chocolate. I like to use a fork to shake the excess chocolate off of the Oreo balls. Dip half of the balls in the chocolate and half in the white chocolate. Place the dipped balls back on the baking tray with parchment paper or wax paper. Decorate with a drizzle of chocolate, additional crushed Oreos, sprinkles, crushed peppermint or crushed nuts, if desired.&nbsp;

Place the baking sheet with the Oreo balls in the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour. Keep stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The Oreo balls will keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. You can also freeze the balls for up to 2 months.&nbsp;

Crush

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then crush the oreos (with filling) in a blender or food processor or place in a bag and crush with a rolling pin. 

Mix together the oreo crumbs and cream cheese with a hand mixer. If it isn&#39;t coming together, get your hands in there and mix it up.

Scoop

Use a small cookie scoop to scoop out the dough. Then roll into a ball with your hands and place onto the pan.

Freeze

Freeze for 10-15 minutes or until slightly firm. You don&#39;t want them too cold.

Melt

Melt the chocolate and stir until smooth. Then use a fork to dip the oreo balls into the chocolate. Tap on the edge of the bowl to get the smooth finish. Use a toothpick to help slide the ball onto the pan. Allow to harden.

Store

Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

How to Make Oreo Balls (Truffles)

(14.3 ounces 405 grams) regular Oreo cookies (not Double-Stuf)

(224 grams) block-style cream cheese, softened to room temperature

(339 grams) semi-sweet

vegetable oil or coconut oil

Oreo crumbs, additional melted chocolate

Make the Oreo truffle filling

Place the Oreos (the entire cookies, filling and cookie) in a food processor or blender. Pulse into a fine crumb.

Using a hand-held or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment (or just continue using the food processor if it&#8217;s large enough), beat/pulse the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until combined.

Using a Tablespoon, scoop out a spoonful of the mixture (about 18–22g each) and, using your hands, roll into a ball. Place balls on baking sheets or plates lined with parchment paper. If the mixture is too sticky, refrigerate for 15 minutes before rolling into balls. Cover and refrigerate the balls for at least 1 hour and up to 3 days. If you&#8217;re in a rush, cover and freeze the balls for 30 minutes. (Do not freeze much longer than that, unless you transfer them to the refrigerator after 30 minutes.)

Melt the chocolate

Place chopped chocolate in a glass bowl or a 2-cup liquid measuring cup—its depth makes dipping really easy. Melt in 20-second increments in the microwave, stirring after each increment, until completely melted and smooth. You can also melt the chocolate using a double boiler, or a heatproof bowl placed over a pot of simmering water. Stir constantly until melted. Let the warm chocolate sit for 5 minutes to slightly cool before dipping, otherwise it will melt the shaped Oreo balls.

Coat the Oreo balls

Working with one Oreo ball at a time, submerge into the melted chocolate and swirl to coat; carefully lift out using a fork or dipping tool. Tap the fork/tool gently on the side of the bowl/measuring cup to let excess chocolate drip off. Use a toothpick to help slide the truffle off of the fork and onto a lined plate or baking sheet; or, if using the candy dipping tool, turn upside down to release.

Optional garnishes

If desired, top with sprinkles or Oreo crumbs while the chocolate is still wet. If you have leftover or another melted chocolate, use a spoon or a squeeze bottle to drizzle it across the tops of the dipped truffles.

Refrigerate balls for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to set before serving. Once chocolate is set, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, layered with parchment or wax paper, for up to 2 weeks.

I too have been making these for years.  So easy and so good!  And they freeze very well.   In addition to dipping in milk chocolate and white chocolate I've also dipped them in melted butterscotch chips.  Delicious!  But the chips never melted as smoothly as I'd like so I'll try Sally's trick of adding a little oil.

To make these peppermint flavored how much peppermint extract would you suggest adding? I also add some crushed candy canes to the dough which gives them a yummy little crunch!

I love this recipe! Is there a way to prevent the chocolate from cracking after coating the truffles? I don't know why it happens.

Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until ground into fine crumbs. (You can also place the Oreos in a large ziptop bag and crush the by hand or with a rolling pin until the cookies are broken down to fine crumbs.)

Transfer the crushed Oreos to a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add the cream cheese then beat on medium-low speed until combined. Use a spatula to scrape the bowl down and make sure there are no pockets of unmixed Oreos or cream cheese.

Using a tablespoon cookie scoop, portion the Oreo mixture and roll into balls. (Each ball should be roughly 1-inch or about 20g.) Place the Oreo balls on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Cover and refrigerate the balls for at least 1 hour to firm up or up to 2 days.

Place the melting wafers in a small microwave-safe bowl. Melt according to the package directions. (You can use a little vegetable oil to thin it out to a dipping consistency if the coating is too thick, but make sure to really whisk the oil in if doing so.)

Dip each chilled ball in the candy coating using a skewer or fork, and place on a sheet of parchment paper to set. If you're decorating the tops with Oreo crumbs or sprinkles, sprinkle those on immediately as the shells will harden quickly.

Chill the dipped balls for 1 hour or until set. If decorating with a chocolate drizzle, drizzle with melted chocolate once the coating is set. Oreo balls can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

I covered these no bake treats with candy melts but you can choose white and or dark chocolate for dipping. If you’re using chocolate tempering it will give you a crisp shell that doesn’t melt on your fingers right away.

Second time making these. Soooo yummy and easy. I put mini chocolate chips inside the filling. I also use Hersheys special dark bar to coat the balls.

Yep.  Mix PB and confectioners sugar (like for a buckeye), roll into small balls (about half or 1/3 the size you want for finished product), freeze then form oreo dough around it.  I have done this many times, they are delicious.

I love oreo truffle balls, we do them in mass on the best day of the year. Cookie day!! (a group of women and kids get together for a day of making a bazillions of cookies).  I have been thinking about branching out on flavors and wondering if I could add finely ground freeze dried fruit. have you ever tried this? Do you think it would work?

These are so good and there are never any leftovers! However, I find them to be a little bit wet. Should I just cut down the cream cheese by a tiny bit to make the filling a little more dry?

These no-bake Oreo Balls are made without cream cheese! They are so easy to make and are fun to customize with your favorite flavors of Oreos.

No Bake Oreo Balls without Cream Cheese

Double-Stuffed Oreos (one 15.25 ounce package)

sweetened condensed milk

butter

chocolate chocolate

Place the Oreos in a food processor or blender and pulse to fine crumbs. You can also crush the cookies in a ziplock bag.

Add the butter and sweetened condensed milk to the cookie crumbs and mix until well blended.

Use a small (1-inch) cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion the Oreo mixture, pressing the Oreos firmly into the scoop. Place the ball into your hand and gently roll it into a ball.

Place the cookie balls on a parchment-lined tray or cookie sheet. Once all of the balls have been formed, put the cookie sheet into the freezer for 1 hour.

After an hour, melt the melting wafers according to package directions. Work with one ball at a time, placing it into the melted chocolate, rolling to coat the ball. Use a fork to remove the ball from the chocolate and let the excess chocolate drip off.

Place the coated ball back onto the cookie sheet. If you are using sprinkles, shake over the Oreo ball immediately before the chocolate sets. If you are decorating with chocolate drizzle, wait for the chocolate to harden before drizzling additional chocolate over the balls.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes,or until ready to serve.

250 g Semisweet chocolate (melted)

Start by crushing the Oreos. The best way to crush Oreos is in a food processor or in a blender. If you don’t have a food processor or a blender, place the Oreos in a ziplock bag and smash them with a cup until fine crumbs form.

Transfer the Oreos to a medium-sized bowl and set aside.

Add the room temperature cream cheese into a big mixing bowl, and mix with an electric hand mixer for 2-3 minutes or until the cream cheese is creamy and silky.

Add the oreo crumbs to the cream cheese and mix until well combined.

Use a small cookie scoop to scoop out the oreo balls (or about 1 tbsp). Roll them into balls using your hands and place them onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Freeze the balls for about 20 minutes so they will not crumble when you dip them into the chocolate.

Melt the chocolate and mix it until it’s smooth and silky without any lumps. Place each oreo on a fork or a spoon and gently dip it into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to drizzle more chocolate on top.

Drizzle the melted chocolate with another spoon until it’s nicely coated, and then tap the excess chocolate by tapping the fork or the spoon on the side of the bowl.

Carefully place each oreo ball onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. I like to use a small skewer to help place the oreo balls on the baking sheet.

If you are using oreo crumbs for decoration, immediately sprinkle the crumbs on top of the oreo balls so the crumbs will stick to the chocolate.

Place the chocolate-coated oreo balls in the fridge to firm up for about 30 minutes.

Serve these as is or drizzle melted chocolate on top of the oreo balls. We like to drizzle white chocolate on the semisweet chocolate-covered oreo balls, and semisweet chocolate on the white chocolate-covered oreo balls.

15.25 oz OREO Cookies (package)

oz cream cheese (1 brick, softened)

Crush the OREO cookies.  I used a blender, but you can use a small food processor, or you can place the cookies in a sealed plastic bag and smash them with a meat mallet!  I found that the blender worked best when I did half the cookies at a time, rather than trying to crush all 36 at once. Use a fork to stir the mixture up between blends to get the finest consistency.

Mix the crumbs with the cream cheese until well blended.

Use a cookie scoop to measure out about 1.5 TBSP of the cookie mixture and roll each scoop into a ball. Place Oreo balls on a parchment or wax paper lined cookie sheet.

Freeze the balls for about 20-30 minutes before dipping.*

Melt the candy coating or melting chocolate in the microwave for about 1 minute 20 seconds. Stir gently until smooth, returning to the microwave in 15 second increments, if needed.

Dip each ball in the chocolate and place back on lined pan.

Place 2 TBSP white chocolate in one sandwich bag and 2 TBSP dark chocolate in another. Microwave for 30 seconds. Gently massage the bag. Snip a tiny corner of the bag and drizzle opposite chocolate onto each Oreo ball. Remove cream filling from reserved Oreo cookie. Place cookies in a bag and smash. Sprinkle each Oreo Ball with cookie crumbs.
