How To Cook Monkfish To Taste Like Lobster

monkfish tail

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

Stir in garlic and white wine, and simmer for a minute or two.

Place monkfish in a baking dish, and pour the garlic butter mixture over top.

Bake in the preheated oven until fish is cooked through, about 15 minutes.

Remove from oven, and check if its cooked through using a fork or tooth pick.

Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

tsp Turmeric powder

Cumin powder (zeera)

Lemon

tbsp Vinegar

tsp Garam masala powder (all spice powder)

tbsp Garlic ginger paste

Coriander powder

tbsp oil

Add horizontal cuts on your chicken pieces to make sure all the marinate can go right in.

In a bowl mix all the remaining listed ingredients to make your marinade.

In a flat dish, add all your chicken pieces and rub the marinade generously on all of them. Make sure you cover all cuts and edges.

Cover the chicken and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

Take out the chicken 20 to 30 mins before cooking

ON STOVE

Add 1 tbsp of oil to a grill pan or frying pan.

Add your chicken pieces and grill them on high heat for 3 mins each side (this will give you a nice charred look and will seal the chicken juices)

Cover the pan with a lid and cook the chicken at low heat for 8 mins.

Flip the pieces over, cover and cook for another 8 mins.

Serve hot

3. Cover the chicken with foil and keep in a preheated oven for 30 mins at 190 °C

ON AN OUTDOOR BBQ GRILL1. This one's pretty upfront. Just grill it till you see a nice charred look. Keep coating the chicken with oil every 5 to keep the juices sealed in. Flip the chicken every-time you coat it with oil. It will roughly take about 20 mins to be done

My version of the incredibly delicious aubergine parmigiana sees wheels of aubergine covered in parmesan and breadcrumbs and layered with mozzarella and tomato sauce. It&#39;s a real winner with the whole family - even my kids love this.

Easy & delicious aubergine parmigiana recipe

aubergines

g plain flour

eggs

breadcrumbs

150 g Parmesan cheese (finely grated)

herbs

garlic powder

black pepper

garlic (minced)

tomatoes

basil

mozzarella cheese (sliced)

Slice the aubergine into rounds, about 2cm thick.

Get a large baking tray, and arrange the slices on them and sprinkle with salt on both sides. Let the aubergine rest for a minimum of half an hour and up to an hour so that excess moisture is released. Pat the slices with kitchen towel to dry the aubergine slices and remove the salt.

Mix the panko breadcrumbs in a bowl with garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper, mixed herbs, and the grated Parmesan cheese.

Preheat the oven to 180c.

Arrange three bowls containing the eggs, which have been beaten with a fork, flour, and breadcrumbs.

First, coat the aubergine slices in flour on both sides, then dip them into eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, gently shaking off excess crumbs.

Lay the breaded slices of aubergine on a greased baking tray and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden.

Meanwhile, pour the olive oil into a frying pan and heat on medium.

Add the garlic and gently cook for 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes and white wine vinegar and simmer for 15 minutes, uncovered. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir in the chopped basil and remove from heat.

In a large baking dish, spread a generous layer of tomato sauce on the bottom.

Then layer the cooked aubergine slices, mozzarella, a spoonful of tomato sauce, and some grated Parmesan. Repeat with an additional layer on top.

Bake the dish uncovered for 30 minutes until the cheese is browned and melted.

Top with fresh basil and serve.
